Chapter 483: Young Lady
Shen Siyuan didn't approach to make conversation, instead he took Dou Dou and Duoduo to find a spot on the beach.
"I want to dig a castle."
Dou Dou waved her little shovel, looking full of confidence. But in reality, if she could dig out a mouse hole, she would be considered awesome.
Duoduo, on the other hand, was silent, sticking her little bum out like a gopher, and started digging hard.
From this, you can see the different personalities of the two little ones.
Before Dou Dou does anything, there's always a lot of noise, but usually, it ends in nothing.
Whereas Duoduo, before doing anything, always puts her head down and works hard. Although the efforts sometimes go in vain, the results are usually not bad.
But Dou Dou is optimistic; she gets proud when she succeeds and doesn't get upset when she fails.
Duoduo is different; she's happy when she succeeds, but feels sad when she fails. Sometimes the sadness goes away quickly, but other times it lasts for a long time.
"Keep your distance from me, you're almost digging into my house." Dou Dou nudged Duoduo aside with her little bum.
Shen Siyuan reached out and lifted her up, placing her on the other side.
"Duoduo has dug such a big hole, and you're still smoothing the beach; you're the one who should move aside."
"What's smoothing the beach?" Dou Dou asked curiously.
"Uh..."
Shen Siyuan didn't really know how to explain it to her.
After thinking for a moment, he said, "It's like giving the beach a gentle scratch."
Upon hearing this, Dou Dou laughed heartily, thinking what Potato said was really funny, and began to lightly scratch the beach with her little shovel.
As she scratched, she mumbled.
"Is it comfortable, does it feel good..."
Shen Siyuan ignored the silly little girl and turned to look at Duoduo again.
Duoduo had already dug a large hole, getting herself covered in sand from head to toe.
"What are you doing digging such a big hole?" Shen Siyuan asked her.
"I'm digging for treasure." Duoduo replied.
"Treasure, are you sure?"
"Of course, the sea washes sand onto the beach, so the treasure is buried underneath. I'm going to dig them all out." Duoduo said enthusiastically, filled with energy.
"Well, keep at it, I hope you dig out some good treasures."
Just then, Tang Tang's voice came from nearby. Shen Siyuan turned towards the sound and saw Taozi holding Tang Tang's hand at the entrance of the steps.
Taozi was wearing a pink polka-dot swimsuit, highlighting her curves, while Tang Tang was wearing a blue ruffled one-piece swimsuit, with a small duck float around her waist. Her chubby little arms and legs looked extremely cute.
"Do you want to come join us?" Shen Siyuan asked loudly.
Obviously, because they were too far away, Tang Tang couldn't hear his voice, making it impossible for them to communicate.
But Taozi gently pushed Tang Tang forward. Tang Tang looked back once, and then walked down the steps to approach Shen Siyuan.
Taozi had naturally fair skin, and in her swimsuit standing under the sun, it seemed to glow with a shimmering light.
She waved to Shen Siyuan with a smile, then turned and left, leaving him with a beautiful silhouette.
Shen Siyuan walked up to Tang Tang and held her small hand. The reason he didn't lift her directly was because she had the small yellow duck float around her waist.
The float sat snugly around her short, chubby waist, not needing any support from hands.
"Why aren't you swimming, coming out to play with the sand again?"
Shen Siyuan noticed her hair wasn't wet, probably she just changed into her swimsuit and came over without getting into the water.
"I want to play with Dou Dou." Tang Tang immediately said.
"Do you like Dou Dou so much?" Shen Siyuan said with a chuckle.
"Yes~" Tang Tang nodded happily.
At that moment, she suddenly looked down at her small feet, which were chubby and now covered with sand.
"What's wrong?" Shen Siyuan asked puzzled.
"Did you step on a stone?"
Tang Tang lifted her right foot and bent down to pick out a Jade Guanyin pendant from the sand.
She then handed it directly to Shen Siyuan.
Shen Siyuan took it and looked it over carefully, finding it to be simply a pendant that seemed to have fallen off from someone's neck. Though he didn't understand jade, its smooth texture and fine craftsmanship suggested it was quite valuable.
"You should dig for treasure with Duoduo. You might find something good." Shen Siyuan laughed.
But when he looked up, Tang Tang had already run happily to Dou Dou, not paying attention to what he said at all.
For Tang Tang, happiness is the most important thing; picking up treasures was just something she did casually.
Shen Siyuan pocketed the Jade Guanyin, planning to show it to Ruan Hongzhuang and the others when he got back. With their extensive knowledge, maybe they could identify what kind of jade it was.
Perhaps because the commotion from Shen Siyuan's group was too much, with laughter and loud talking, the middle-aged woman who had been watching the sea finally turned her head curiously to look at them.
When she saw the three little girls, she was somewhat stunned, staring at them and seemingly lost in memory.
Meanwhile, the little girl behind the woman also began to approach Duoduo and the others, probably curious about what they were playing.
She first went up to Dou Dou, watching her lightly scratching the sand, then went over to Duoduo, curiously observing the large hole she had dug.
Thinking the big hole was interesting, she jumped in, crouched inside, fitting her whole body, and couldn't help but laugh.
But as soon as she looked up, she saw Duoduo staring at her with a surprised expression.
Duoduo had been digging the hole, and suddenly a girl jumped into her hole, surprising her.
The little girl seemingly doubting Duoduo could see her, stood up and waved her hand in front of Duoduo's face.
"Sister, what are you doing?" Duoduo asked, puzzled.
The little girl froze upon hearing this.
At that moment, Dou Dou walked over with her little shovel, curiously asking, "Sister, do you want to play with us?"
"You... you can all see me?"
Her gaze swept over the three little ones in shock, her voice somewhat stammering.
"Of course." Duoduo nodded.
"Tang Tang can't see."
Dou Dou pointed at Tang Tang, who was sitting on the sand with the duck float around her waist, using plastic molds to stamp out small animals.
"Hah, how strange, as if you haven't died before." Dou Dou said smugly, placing her hands on her hips.
Duoduo scratched her head, wondering if this was something to be proud of?
"What do you mean?" The little girl asked, puzzled.
"It means we've also died, just like you." Duoduo explained.
She then looked down at her feet.
"And, why are you standing in the hole I dug?"
"Uh... sorry, I apologize." The little girl hurriedly got out of the hole.
"Children shouldn't lie; if you're dead, you can't dig in the sand." The little girl said as soon as she came up.
Duoduo got a bit upset, "I didn't lie."
Duoduo said and immediately transformed into her ghost form, with the shovel falling down, and the sand sticking to her dropping off.
She reached out to grab the fallen shovel, her hand passing through it.
"See." Duoduo said proudly.
She then turned back into her human form, picked up the shovel, and continued digging.
The middle-aged woman who had been watching was stunned; she rubbed her eyes, wondering if her condition was getting worse, affecting her eyesight.
After thinking for a moment, she stepped towards the three little ones.
