Tang San’s Twin Sister

Chapter 66

They all paid attention to the Principal as they entered the busy city streets, which slowly filled up as they approached the city center and he started explaining and pointing things out.

"Normal People who awaken their soul don't have any spirit essence at all, and even if they do, they rarely can surpass level thirty. That is why most people choose to live a normal person's life." He headed into one of the less populated side streets. "The ones who decide to fight will become the pyramid's peak. Your classroom for today is where all combat spirit masters gather."

Behind him, a colosseum appeared and dominated the surroundings. It reminded Yin a lot of the Roman Colosseum, and her eyes widened in disbelief at its sight. She stayed close to Tang San, who took her hand and pressed down on it before nodding at her encouragingly. "Don't worry, " he said, and she gulped, looking at the structure.

She knew fighting and battle, but fighting in a stadium differed from sparring, hunting spirit beasts, or even fighting Zhao Wuji at the entrance exam. People could die in there.

"The Colosseum attracts many famous spirit masters; rising in rank gains you fame and fortune."

"Principal, really on the first day?" Dai Mubai asked, surprised, and Flender turned towards them. "Monsters have a Monsters was off training," he stated confidently.

Jiang took Yin's hand, and Xiao Wu headed closer to Tang San. Tang Yin felt her heart beating as she observed the large structure in front of her. Never had she thought she might be fighting in a Arena like a Gladiator.

"Go apply; the fee is ten gold coins," Flender explained to them. "Winning the first Match will get you an Iron badge. Once you reach one hundred points, your badge will be upgraded. The badges range from iron to copper, silver, gold, and more. The Arena will explain the rest, but let me clarify one thing. If you don't reach Silver Badge, don't even think about Graduating. Tang Yin, Jiang, for you two, it's a Gold Badge you must reach. You have a higher starting point than the others, so I expect you to achieve more."

Tang Yin pressed down harder on the hands holding hers.

Xiao Wu turned towards them and smiled. "Only the third and fourth levels don't sound hard."

Tang Yin tilted her head towards a mural. "That's the names of people who died in there." She said, and Flender hummed in agreement as he touched the monument at the entrance, not even bothering to look at them.

"Correct, you should remember that well; this is not a game. Mubai will explain you the rest."

Then Flender walked away and left them alone while Mubai turned around and started explaining. "There is one-on-one combat, two-vs.-two combat and group combat in the Arena. One can only enter each category once a day. Since none of our supporters are here today, we won't be entering group battles."

Then he led them inside. And showed them them around.

"Over there, you can register, " he pointed at the counter. They headed off to it. Tang Yin remained close to Tang San, who patted her back. "Don't worry, " he said and looked at her. It's going to work out."

She huffed and crossed her arms. "I am going to wreak them all." She announced, having decided there was no use in thinking about it. Now that she was here, she wouldn't be a chicken and run. She would just go for it.

Tang San went to the counter. "I'd like to register us four, " he said, and the lady behind the counter mustered them.

"Aren't you a bit young?" Her eyes hung on Tang Yin who appeared younger then her age due to her size, she walked forward and tiptoed to look over the counter.

"Does that matter?" She asked, and the woman shook her head and took the money.

"Names, Age, and Spirit Rank?" She asked and then Tang San went through them pointing each oth them out.

"Tang San, Xiao Wu, Spirit Grand Master. Tang Yin and Jiang, spirit Elders. We are all twelve years old." The woman stopped typing and then mustered them.

"Alright."

"Can we also register for two on two battles?" Tang Yin asked, and the woman handed them forms.

"These are for one-on-one battles; these are for two-on-two battles, " she said, and Tang Yin took the paper, hesitating for a moment before looking at Xiao Wu.

"Are you going to fight with San?" She asked her, and Xiao Wu nodded.

"Yes, if you don't mind." She said. "I assumed you and Jiang would like to work in two?"

"If Jiang doesn't mind?" She turned towards the tallest of them.

"I don't. After all, we two have worked together before. I haven't worked with San or Wu solo before, only in a Team. So I prefer it." He answered her.

"Alright. Do you have any suggestions for a name?" she asked him. He pondered for a moment and then smiled. "Black Silver, " he said, and she coughed.

"That was fast."

"Well, it fits. Silver leaned on your Spirits' Essences for you and the Black for me." He explained, and she grinned. "A poet, I see." Then she pondered for a moment upon the name.

"Let's do that then." She noted the name and filled out the form before handing it in.

"Would you like to do the singles before the doubles?" the woman asked, and Jiang answered, "We would like the singles first."

"Alright."
