Chapter 32
The following day started with raindrops falling from the sky and a very quickly retreating Tang Yin.
"It's raining." She told the others who sat together in the only dry corner of the Tent.
"We noticed.", hissed Yu Hua back and looked at the tent fabric, "among all the things Gale could have forgotten, he forgot to waterproof the Tent. "
"W-we h-have Rai-raincoats.", Ning Feng said and held out a light gray decorated with a gold see-through raincoat to Yu Hua. Yu Hua gratefully took it as Ning Feng handed over another one to Tang Yin in light blue and silver, a darker blue one for Tang San, and a light pink one for herself.
"Well, since none of us can sleep anymore, we might as well continue walking.", Tang Yin said, wrapped up in her slightly oversize coat.
Wrapping up the Tent and putting it back into Ning Feng Teddy. The adults did the same, and their Tent went into Tang Sans's twenty-four moonlight bridges. The clouds above their head became darker and darker, and the rain became heavier and heavier. The ground under their feed was muddy; the longer it went, the more challenging walking got.
Ning Feng slowly got weaker and weaker, almost collapsing halfway. The Grandmaster picked her up and continued on by carrying her.
Lightning danced over the sky, followed by tremendous thunders. Yu Hua slipped on the wet moss, but Tang Yin grabbed his hand before he almost fell.
As seeing became more complicated, a vicious wind started to blow, and even on the ground, they had difficulty getting ahead. Finally, tang Yin lost every feeling of time and walked hand in hand with Tang San and Ning Feng. The others joined in, and they continued walking together.
"This a monsoon!", The Grabdmaster shouted through the storm,
"We need cover; San Pao found a cave a few meters from us!" as the winds threatened to take even Tang Yin and Tang San from their feed by pure force.
"There certainly are spirit beasts inside!" Lize cried, "This deep inside the forest, they could be too much to handle for us!"
"A risk we have to take!" the Grandmaster answered, and Tang Yin felt her brother's spiritual energy as he used purple demon eyes, but even they had difficulty seeing in weather this bad. "Right up ahead, I can see it!" he dragged them after him, and soon they found themselves sheltered by walls and under a million bright eyes.
Thousands of small shining lizards looked at them with glowing orange eyes. They were all black, but their necks had a small comb that stood up and spread a light orange-yellow luminescence. The faint sound of snake's hisses was hearable in the cave, but none of them attacked, just staying there motionlessly glaring.
"Fire Lizards, young ones, they will not attack us, but it seems we stumbled right into their lair.", The Grandmaster said.
"If this is the brood, where is the mother?" Tang Yin asked, whispering, she didn't know why, but she felt like she had to whisper under all those watchful eyes.
"Hopefully far away; depending on the age, she may just consider us a tasty snack."
"Grandmaster, you are starting to sound like me, just more knowledgeable; stop that." Tang Yin hissed back and gulped; she did not want to end up as a midday side dish for a lizard.
"My dignity will not stomach ending as food. May I strongly suggest we move from here?" Yu Hua whispered as lowly as the others looking hopefully outside. A tree trunk hit the ground right then, followed by a lightning strike right next to it.
"Yu Hua, a sign from the heavens; I do not believe getting hit by that is a more honorable death.", Tang Yin said, and Yu Hua gulped.
"The cave goes deeper; if Ning Feng teleports us behind the Lizards, we may just find a place to stay." Tang San said, and the others stared at him.
"E-Everyone, w-we h-have a p-problem." Then, Ning Feng shuttered, "I-I b-believe M-Mommy i-is b-back."
"Are you kidding!" Lize cursed, and the others could only agree. Is the world kidding them?
