Chapter 115: Jeeth Subedar
From the family around 90 people stood up, Razi Tea gazed at them and said.
"Prepare, you all will leave in one hour"
Everyone rushed back to their homes, some went to bid farewell others went to gather the available pills and items for anything possible. In their eyes, it was their only chance. They were not selected previously in the ancestral law enforcement, thus they wanted to get on the good side of Akash with this opportunity.
After that Razi Tea dismissed the meeting, one after another every tea member left except Baghi Tea, he was still sitting on his seat. Baghi looked at Razi in chagrin and said.
"You still have a long way ahead, I had my hopes high for nothing."
Razi Tea flinched.
"I thought it was the best decision for family and ancestral law enforcement. Except you, none of the other elders objected"
He said.
"You stupid little shit, don't compare me with those dimwitted elders"
Baghi Tea said angrily.
A drop of sweat slid from Razi's temple to his chin and dropped down. He lowered his head and replied.
"I'm sorry, grandfather."
Razi Tea was the current head of the Tea Family, Baghi Tea had no right to disrespect the head of the family like this. But at that moment, it was not a formal talk between a family head and family elder, it was a talk between a grandfather and his grandson.
"Your order was perfect, even I was shocked when you said to leave enforcers in the city to protect. I was impressed until you made a mistake, you said none of the enforcers will go with them. What if they are attacked during their travelling period, all the strongest family members would be in Abran. Who will protect these 100 blood relatives of ours, they neither have good pets nor good weapons."
Baghi Tea explained dominantly.
Razi Tea's eyes widened, two feelings were tingling in his heart. The feeling of regret and the feeling of admiration. He regretted that he was sending half of his total family without any guaranteed protection, but he also admired his grandfather.
"Grandfather thought such possibility in mere minutes, I thought I've caught up to his tactics but there is a huge gap between us. No wonder he is called the living legend of our family, I'm lucky to be born as his grandson."
Razi Tea pondered
Baghi Tea stood up and started to walk out when he heard a call.
"Wait, grandfather."
"What happened now?"
Baghi retorted
"Thank you, grandfather. I still need help from you"
Razi Tea stated.
"Puke it"
"Who should we send with them? I can't decide."
Razi Tea shared his new worry.
In response, Baghi Tea didn't answer and just replied with a grin.
~Slave City~
Haji Tea closed the wounds of Jurgen and started remedial efforts by using his life law.
"This won't help at all, my liege."
"Why your life law is not working"
Akash asked
"His wound is months old, the blood around his wound is frozen and rotten. Not only that, the bandages he used were ruined by blood as well. It caused infection in his wound, apart from that his vital organs are suffered gashes as well."
"What can we do now"
The King asked as well.
"We need to clean his wounds and cut off the putrid flesh and frozen blood, but in that process, he will start loosing blood once again. The blood of his body is only stopped by the layer of rotten blood on his wounds, we have to wait for my family."
Haji Tea said and suggested.
Jurgen raised his head while laying and spoke
"Don't worry, Sir Haji. I will live for a month more. Bring your family within a month."
"Who in the cosmos told you that? By the condition of your innards, you will be lucky if you stay alive for a week."
Haji Tea retorted.
Jurgen's eyes widened, Haji asked him another question.
"When did you get these wounds?"
"9 months prior."
He replied
The reply of the dwaiant shocked everyone.
"There is another way as well, I could draw an imprint on his body to stop the blood but I do not have a cosmic brush in my possession."
Akash uttered.
In the thick of discussion, Sohrab Khan heard something the voice of Jeeth Subedar in his mind.
"Master, you can help him"
"What! I don't even know the ABC of healing"
Sohrab replied.
"Master, it's not healing I'm talking about. It's runes."
Jeeth said.
"But, I haven't learnt anything yet"
"Just tell them master and leave everything else to me"
"I can help"
Sohrab spoke, drawing the attention of every present soul.
Everyone quickly looked at Sohrab Khan, who was as confused as them.
"How can you help"
The Smoking Spear asked.
The Minotaur hesitated, Akash understood and said.
"Did Jeeth say something?"
"Yes, your majesty"
Sohrab answered.
"Haji, let him do it"
Akash ordered Haji
Haji Tea stood back and Sohrab stepped forward, he uttered two words.
"Spirit Possession"
A burst of energy was released from his body, flinching everyone. The body of Sohrab Khan glowed in and Hammer-Axe came into his hand, it shined and multiple imprints formed on it. Within a second the heavy weapon turned into a small cosmic brush, a well-designed brush of high quality which has the power to wedge war amongst rune masters to get it.
"Sohrab... you can also turn Jeeth into a cosmic brush?"
Akash asked.
Sohrab turned his eyes towards Akash and bowed, his lips moved.
"I'm not Sohrab"
The voice that came out of Sohrab's mouth was not his in the slightest, everyone took few steps back except Akash. The King recognised the voice.
"Jeeth, you are Jeeth Subedar. King of Forest Dragons."
"Indeed, your majesty is correct. I am Jeeth."
Sohrab replied.
"What sort of sorcery is this?"
Riassuba commented.
"It's spirit possession, a skill of weapons with spirits. With this skill, they can take over the body of their masters for some particular time, this skill needs the consent of both weapon spirit and its master."
Akash explained.
"Does that mean... we can also use this skill?"
Sacra Emilat asked
"Ask your weapon."
Akash replied.
All the lords interacted with their weapons and the answer they got was positive.
"Your majesty, can I start now?"
Jeeth asked Akash
"Sure, you can"
Jeeth held the brush in his hands and draw a straight line, from Jurgen's throat to his abdomen. There was no ink yet the line was visible for everyone.
"He is using cosmic energy to draw the imprints."
Akash exclaimed.
Jeeth put his finger on the centre of the line and closed his eyes, the glow on his body dimmed and all the light transferred to his sole finger touching the centre of the line. Akash squinted his eyes to look better and found that it was not a simple line, but thousands of imprints attached forming a line like an image.
Jeeth opened his eyes and the entire line was sucked at the centre, eventually entered the body of Jurgen.
"It's over, you can start the surgery."
Jeeth said.
Akash looked at Jeeth in awe and asked.
"Is it done?"
"Yes your majesty, it's done"
Jeeth replied in absolute confidence.
Akash gestured Haji Tea and he started the surgery alone, he cut the putrid flesh of Jurgen slowly. Making sure it doesn't bleed, the entire part was cut open without shedding a single drop of blood.
The dwaiant was awake this whole time, Haji Tea looked in the eyes of Jurgen and said.
"Dwaiant sure is a sturdy race, no human could have survived up until now. I'm sorry I don't have the pain killer pill to give you, you have to endure it, my friend"
Jurgen raised his head again and said.
"I'm sorry sir, but... I'm not feeling any pain"
Haji Tea was shocked again.
"What!"
He quickly looked at Jeeth, possessing the body of Sohrab Khan.
"Is this your doing as well?"
Jeeth nodded, out of everyone present. Only Akash Tagar was familiar with the art of runes. He asked Jeeth.
"King Jeeth, can I ask what is the grade of this imprint?"
Akash was polite and respectful, he never forgot how the 10 dragons sacrificed everything for Akash and his future colleagues.
Jeeth smiled and replied
"It's a mere 2nd grade imprint, your majesty."
Akash's eyes widened.
"My experience can not accept this, King Jeeth."
Jeeth Subedar laughed
"Hoho, please don't call me king. I'm not the Jeeth you knew, I'm a hammer-axe spirit with King Jeeth's memories and experience. As for your question, it is indeed 2nd grade rune. The definition of runes is very different from race to race, out of all, dragon runes are the most powerful. I saw that your majesty was able to see the small thousand imprint in that line but I doubt, you could grasp any of it."
Akash nodded and said
"You are correct, I tried to grasp but failed."
"I will teach each and everything about runes to my master, Sohrab Khan. Once he learns everything, no rune master in this cosmos will call himself number 1 in runes."
Jeeth said and his legs wobbled, Akash rushed to stop him from hitting the ground. The eyes of the minotaur opened, Akash asked.
"Are you alright, King Jeeth?"
A similar voice came again from the minotaur.
"Your majesty, It's me, Sohrab Khan."
