Taiyi Dao Fruit

Chapter 24: Massacre_2

The majestic Mountain Qi bore down with overwhelming pressure, and the unfinished sword momentum suddenly collapsed; the Wu Hook Double Swords, in an instant, shattered into fragments.

'How is this possible? How can there be a fourth-rank with such a formidable Physical Body in this world...'

Even after witnessing the demise of Su Nu, Jiang Biehe was still shocked by Jiang Li's strength. It should be known that not only did he practice both the Dao of Buddhism and martial arts, but he was also a member of the Jiang Family, with a strength far superior to that of Su Nu. How could he meet the same fate as her?

Feelings of shock and disbelief surged in his heart but were quickly suppressed. Jiang Biehe's golden face showed an expression of furious savagery, as his fiery hair, in a state of Dharma Manifestation, burned even more intensely.

Fear was pointless; dodging was impossible. The Five Mountains True Form Palm, with its intangible Mountain Qi, suppressed all space for evasion. The previous sword strike had left him no time to circulate his True Qi to retreat. Jiang Biehe had no choice but to harden himself for the direct impact.

He turned his Dharma Body, shifting his injured front chest to the side, while the suddenly free hands formed a solid handprint like a vajra.

"Bright King's raging fire, Samaya Seal."

Buddha Light transformed into fiery blue and red flames, showcasing the Divine Power of the Bright King, and blending the Samadhi aspect into the Seal Technique.

Using the "Qi Tomb" as a pivot, combining methods of Buddhism and Daoism, and harnessing Divine Skills, the Bright King Jun Tuli Dharma Body unleashed the handprint burning with Samadhi Bright King of Fire, colliding with Jiang Li's palm without any tricks.

"Oomph!"

The air was crushed, creating a True Void where the collision occurred, devoid of any medium for sound to propagate, but the space itself vibrated, becoming the new medium, and emitted a deep hum.

The flames of Samadhi Bright King of Fire raged like a torrent, fiercely burning. However, upon contact, the flames wavered like a candle in the wind and were then crushed under the mountain's heavy gravity, snuffing out the flames. The terrifying force condensed into one palm exploded.

Jiang Biehe's eyes widened as he instantly lost all feeling in his arms.

"Bang!"

A Blood Light burst from behind the Bright King Jun Tuli Dharma Body, and a Daoist was ejected from within the Dharma Body, with both arms missing from the elbows down, only blood spraying out.

That palm strike split Jiang Biehe's Dharma Body in two, his True Body was expelled from the Dharma Manifestation, and even the arms of his True Body exploded into blood mist. The Dharma Manifestation, after a brief moment of stability, disintegrated!

Defeat, another abrupt and tragic defeat.

Jiang Biehe let out a wolf-like wail of agony, as blood vessels all over his body burst open, a cloud of blood mist diffusing around him, causing all the Arhats to be severely shaken; not even their [Killing Thieves] Divine Skill could calm their trembling hearts.

Because of the refining of the Five Mountains True Form, they were unaffected by the aftermath, but the fear in their hearts was almost crushing their Nirvana-like pure Mental State.

Jiang Li's Divine Unity of Essence, Qi, and Spirit commanded an invisible sovereign aura with every move he made, especially upon acting, harmonious with nature, manifesting the world's intent in his body and crushing the spirits of surrounding living creatures. Even the protective Mental State of those with Arhat Dao Fruit could not withstand such destruction.

"Aid me," Jiang Biehe cried out loudly.

The sky roared with wind, as the White Dragon left Yin Tulong behind and soared at Near Light Speed.

Yellow Clouds churned tumultuously, a Yellow Dragon seizing the momentary gap to suddenly emerge and glide through.

"Arhats, heed my command."

Guangli Bodhisattva performed a Heavenly Dragon's chant, and in response, the Arhats felt a surge of Telekinesis coming from the unknown, which subdued their fear, "Strike!"

Only by striking, only by battling for life, was there a chance for survival.

Even if as cannon fodder, it was better than fleeing at this moment.

Given Jiang Li's displayed speed, no one could hope to escape. Fleeing was truly a death sentence.

Nine Arhats, suppressing their injuries, shouted in unison: "Luminous Crystal Brilliance, Arhats Clear the Path."

For the third time, they uttered True Words, invoking the eruptive foundational strength of the Buddha Country Secret Sect's True Word Technique. Body, speech, and mind united, the nine Arhats burst forth to strike together.

"A futile gesture."

Facing the joint attack, Jiang Li was calm, moving forward in what seemed to be slow but was actually swift motion, "You've all, done your best."

The Great Circle Sword Light encircled his body, descending from above and severing the gatekeeper Arhat's staff. A Blood Light started at the crown of the Arhat and extended downward, splitting his body in two.

Happy Arhat arrived alongside the gatekeeper Arhat, releasing the long-pressed palm on his chest. Bright light emanated from the left side, where a Buddha statue sat in his heart. "Happy," for the heart could see the Buddha—the Arhat was thus named for his Buddha Power within, ranked first among the Arhats.

But facing the Buddha within his heart, Jiang Li simply gripped the Great Circle Sword without a trace of worldly affectation, pushed forward, and the sword tip penetrated the chest, piercing through the Buddha statue.

Happy Arhat was truly open-hearted.

Then, a vertical crease appeared between his eyebrows, radiating light that immobilized the Tota Arhat, as if the will of heaven had anchored the Tota Arhat's Divine Soul, clouding his perception and cutting off his Five Divine Powers, extinguishing the Divine Light from his Heavenly Eye.

Wind, Thunder, Water, Fire, Mountain, and Ze—the Six Dharma phases unleashed simultaneously. The Wind Phase tore at the Riding Deer Arhat, the Thunder Phase struck down the Sitting Arhat, the Water Phase shredded the Alms Bowl Arhat, the Fire Phase incinerated the Exploring Hand Arhat, the Mountain Phase crushed the Banana Arhat, and the Ze Phase engulfed the Long-Eyebrow Arhat.

A cataclysm circled around him, a scene and a kill, all nine Arhats fell one by one.

Killing an Arhat was no more difficult than slaughtering a pig or dog.

In the span of a breath, Jiang Li took nine steps, each step felling a man, and after nine steps, he was just in time to catch up with Jiang Biehe in retreat.

The White Dragon and Yellow Dragon both burst forth with overwhelming might and intent to kill, the fourth-rank Bodhisattva's power and Yellow Heaven's capability simultaneously erupted in that instant.

Capturing this moment was not only because Jiang Li's slaughter was too fierce and swift, leaving them no chance to join hands with the other Arhats, but also to use the nine Arhats to dissipate Jiang Li's killing intent and to fight for a sliver of time.

Time was precisely that critical.

"Heavenly Dragon's Furious Confession."

The several dozen zhang long dragon body swirled with golden light, its claws reaching out as if the firmament itself were crashing down.

"Yellow Heaven."

At the Yellow Dragon's brow, a talisman light flickered, drawing in an incomparable power from afar into itself, and at the same time, countless talismans appeared across its body, each dragon scale revealing a talisman.

Caught between the two, dual dragons swept across the skies, two mighty rays of light surged towards Jiang Li.

Yet Jiang Li seemed to pay them no mind, simply raising the Great Circle Sword.

······

······

"What a pity for Biehe."

In front of Yuxu Temple, Manjusri whispered with a sigh.

The fierce battle in the distance seemed to be in another world, the surrounding storm not reaching this area, tangible Sword Light intersecting, intangible Sword Qi flashing into existence amidst thought.

Countless sword shadows enveloped this space, maintaining a state of intense yet tranquil balance.

Compared to the other two battlefields, this place seemed excessively calm, with Manjusri and Daoist Guang Cheng maintaining the same positions as when they met, their forms unmoving, letting the Sword Light clash against each other.

In an instant, countless changes unfolded, the Yin Yang Two Extremes Sword flashed at near light speed, while Manjusri's Wisdom Sword formed a barrier, defensive with its offense, blocking the onslaught like the edge of heaven.

Neither party had yet to go all out, engaging in a life-and-death battle, yet both constantly calculated their sword paths, at a stalemate with each other.

"Great Master, won't you save him?" Daoist Guang Cheng said indifferently.

"Will Daoist allow the monk to leave?" Manjusri likewise remained emotionally flat.

Daoist Guang Cheng's eyes darkened for an instant, as his sword momentum mysteriously gained an extra three parts of lethality.

Of course, he would not allow Manjusri to intervene and save Jiang Biehe, not solely because his own junior brother had unexpectedly transferred his foundation with the Echange Skill to accept the Buddhist Dao Fruit, but also because of Jiang Biehe's connection to Manjusri.

"The Jiang family's 'Gui Cang Yi' is indeed profound and vast," remarked Daoist Guang Cheng slowly.

Although he and Manjusri were not fighting with their full strength, their Echange Skill and Divination were unrestrained, with no holding back.

Even so, Daoist Guang Cheng was still unable to take the upper hand in their sword style.

His opponent's Wisdom Sword was impervious to attack; with just the transformation of the sword styles, Guang Cheng was unable to press Manjusri even slightly.

The other's mastery in Yi Dao was not inferior to his own, and the sophistication of the Magic Door used was also comparable to the North Pole Divine Number and the Taiyin Divine Number.

Even so, what Daoist Guang Cheng stated was still somewhat shocking to hear.

Manjusri was versed in the Jiang family's 'Gui Cang Yi'?

Upon hearing this, Manjusri too showed a flicker of emotion, then with a somewhat resigned shake of his head, said, "Ah, it seems Daoist really has found out."
