Chapter 809: The Hunter And The Hunted [Part 1]

"It's that brat again." The King of Artem looked at the battle taking place in the world of Solterra with a sneer. "This is the perfect opportunity for him to die in our experiment's hands."

He hated Zion with a vengeance especially after the teenage boy had ruined all of his hard work, in the Arcadia Archipelago.

Although the Thirteen was currently inside Rocky's Mobile Fortress, the King of Artem had ways to detect the Royal Bloodline of Chandrea in Zion's body.

He also knew of the nickname the Chandreans had given the young man who had freed their Moon Princess from suffering.

"Endymion." The King of Artem snorted. "You will be dying soon."

Yes.

Thirteen was named Endymion by the Royal Family of Chandrea, for their bloodline now flowed inside his vein.

He had exchanged his blood with Rhia's when she was about to be born, preventing her from once again experiencing the cycle of torture she faced under the King of Artem's machinations.

The Artemians fed their experiment with relevant information about their most hated enemy, so the moment the Alien-like Monster discovered Zion's existence, it would make killing the teenage boy its second priority.

Its first priority was to increase the population of its race to gain a stable foothold in Solterra.

Once that was achieved, it could start expanding its forces, dominating every territory within sight.

It would not stop until it became an uncontrollable force that would bring ruin to the world of Solterra.

This was the vengeance the King of Artem sought and the main reason why they made countless experiments to create the biological weapon, which they had named Azothrall.

However, as the battle intensified, the Artemians were no longer able to see what was happening as it took place underground.

They couldn't tell who had the upper hand or if either was winning. However, they weren't too worried as they had complete confidence that their experimental subject would emerge victorious.

Azothrall was the perfect killer. Its body could easily adapt to its environment, and it also quickly learned from its enemies.

The more battle experience it gained, the stronger it became, making it an existence that defied the laws of the jungle, making it the ultimate weapon!

In fact, even the King of Artem feared the potential of this creature, so he made sure that it would only be born as a Rank 8 Sovereign.

The monster was still strong, but it was of a rank the King of Artem could easily kill, greatly lowering the threat of Azothrall rebelling against them.

As an experimental subject, it still needed to be tested in an environment where they could test its abilities.

That way, they could improve their experiment even further, creating a more powerful monster after gathering the data from the Alien-like Monster.

Although it would eat a lot of resources and time, the King of Artem was willing to pay the price.

Now that he had conquered the two moons of Solterra, only one final conquest remained, and that was none other than the world of Solterra itself.

'Just what is happening down there?,' The King of Artem thought as their long-distance viewing artifact locked onto the hole where Azothrall fell.

However, the land where the hole was located collapsed, creating a mile-long crater that would become a lake in a few years.

For now, it only served as a stop-gap measure to bury the Alien-like Monster and delay its plan to capture Shana, whose face was still devoid of any colors.

After burying their opponent in the ground, Thirteen ordered Rocky to go to the location of Erica's group to protect them.

As Rocky traveled, Thirteen went to the Order of the Apocalypse to seek Metatron and ask for any information about the monster he was fighting against.

"Ah, Thirteen, I thought you would be showing up just about now," Metatron said with a smile as soon as the teenage boy appeared in front of him.

"You already knew I would come to see you, didn't you?" Thirteen asked.

"Yes," Metatron answered. "So, ask your questions. However, take note that I can only answer about the things that I know."

Thirteen nodded and asked his first question. "Do you know anything about that creature?"

"No," Metatron replied. "It's a foreign creature not born from this world. However, the moment it hatched from its cocoon, I managed to intercept something very interesting."

The God of the Apocalypse gave the teenage boy a cheeky smile, making the latter sigh because he understood that Metatron was just creating needless drama.

Wiping the blood from his nose with a handkerchief, he decided to play along to finally get it over with.

"What's that 'very interesting' thing you're talking about?" Thirteen inquired.

"Its target is your Saintess friend," Metatron replied. "From what I managed to intercept, it referred to Shana as its Queen. If I'm allowed to make an educated guess, I think it wanted to breed with her and increase the number of its breed."

Thirteen's expression immediately darkened, understanding that this was a very serious matter.

He planned to take Shana to the Temple of Zaphiel, so she could train and become stronger.

The Saintess would play a role in his future plans, and he wouldn't allow her to be captured by the Alien-like Monster who wished to use her as its nursery.

"Is there a possibility to change its target from Shana to other girls?" Thirteen asked. "For example, will it target Erica, or Sherry if Shana isn't around?"

Metatron nodded. "Of course, there is a possibility. But unless they possess the same attributes as her… like the Holy or Light Attribute, I believe it will simply overlook them. At least, that's my take on this matter.

"Even if I'm a God, I can be wrong in this assumption as well, so take it with a grain of salt."

Thirteen nodded because it understood that while Metatron and The One could be omnipotent, they weren't omniscient beings who knew all the secrets of the Multiverse.
