Chapter 1090: Fers Du Celestia! [Part 2]

When the Artemians tried to conquer Chandrea, the Saintess of the Royal Family blocked their path.

She had single-handedly annihilated a quarter of the Artemian Army. Had the Artemian King not stopped her rampage, their losses would've been greater.

Unfortunately, while she was kept busy, the rest of the Artemian Army made short work of the Chandrean defenders. They were then used as hostages, forcing the princess to submit.

They were let go in exchange for a treaty, making Chandrea a subordinate world of Artem. And to seal the deal, the Princess had to marry the Artemian King, becoming the Queen of Artem.

She had given birth to a daughter and a son.

While the son was spared because he was the King's successor, the daughter was not.

However, Thirteen put an end to her suffering and made her a part of their family.

Lucan had been present during the height of the war between the Artemians and the Chandreans.

Zia's current form reminded him of the Saintess who had brought their army to its knees. But there was one striking difference between the Chandrean Princess and the Succubus Princess.

Zia was much weaker than the Saintess.

Although Lucan had suffered injuries after getting hit by the young lady's punch, his regeneration ability kicked in and started to repair his body.

"That was a good punch, Princess," Lucan said as he propped himself up from the crater.

The Artemian Commander was still clutching his chest, feeling the stinging pain lingering in his body.

"But that will not be enough to defeat me," Lucan added.

Zia didn't reply. She simply stared at her enemy, and behind her, countless golden chains swayed like snakes ready to strike.

She was still not used to her power, so she was simply buying some time until she could figure out how to fully control it.

But Lucan had already reached the limit of his patience.

Just as he was about to settle things once and for all, a flash of light appeared hundreds of meters away from him, making him frown.

"So you're here, Lucan," said calmly by Prince Aurelion, who suddenly appeared on the battlefield.

He then glanced at the succubus princess, who looked more beautiful since the last time he saw her.

His scouts had reported the powerful fluctuations coming from the North.

Knowing that the only faction who possessed such strength were the Artemians, Prince Aurelion didn't hesitate to use a special method to instantly teleport him to the location where the battle was being waged.

"You're safe now, Princess," Prince Aurelion said with a smile. "I'll protect you from this bastard."

Thirteen gave the Dragonkin a side-long glance before shifting her gaze back to Lucan.

She had no intention of letting the Artemian Commander leave this place alive, and Prince Aurelion's presence made things a bit complicated.

However, the young lady's internal struggle only lasted for a few seconds before she waved her hand to make her golden chains attack Lucan, who was on top of her kill list.

Lucan summoned two swords, planning to slice off the golden chains.

But when his blade met the gold, the chains remained whole.

He couldn't break them, only parry, barely able to keep them from wrapping around him like a snake.

Prince Aurelion understood what must be done. Upon materializing a spear on his hand, he wasted no time before attacking the hateful enemy who dared to kidnap the young lady of his dreams.

With two enemies fighting him at the same time, Lucan had no choice but to take a defensive stance.

However, his gaze was still calm, scanning past the sapce behind Zia from time to time.

His gaze didn't escape the young lady's attention, prompting her to send a few of her golden chains to the ground.

A few seconds later, Zia's expression changed, but no trace of panic or fear appeared in her eyes.

With a graceful motion, she pointed to the ground, and the chains obeyed, speeding to the spot she had marked.

Perhaps sensing what she had planned to do, the ground burst apart, revealing a Golden Azothrall with three scorpion-like tails and six arms.

It then used its claws and tails to deflect Zia's attacks before unleashing a hateful screech in her direction.

Sensing that the creature had strength on par with his, he glanced behind his back.

'An Archon!' Prince Aurelion's face turned grim, not expecting that the Artemians were hiding another trump card.

What he didn't know was that this Archon had only been recently born, and it was due to the deaths of its comrades.

"Capture Princess Zia, and bring her back to the Headquarters!" Lucan ordered. "Do it, Azoh'Karn!"

The Golden Azothrall nodded before jumping high up in the air.

Four pairs of wings sprouted from its back, allowing it to fly in the air.

Facing this threat, Zia simply raised her right hand and snapped her fingers.

The sky suddenly turned dark, as if something had blocked the light of the sun.

Only a bright silver moon could be seen in the sky, and its light descended upon Zia, as if giving her the power to fight her enemy.

The sound of shaking chains reverberated in the surroundings, similar to the pealing of bells.

When Metatron asked Thirteen to choose anything from the treasury back then, the teenage boy decided to choose a Divine Weapon.

A Divine Weapon that met all his requirements.

A weapon that would only be of use when he was fighting against enemies that had the Rank of a Monarch and above.

This restriction allowed this weapon to exhibit great power as long as the conditions were met.

If Thirteen were to use this weapon against Thrones and below, the golden chains would simply break, unable to do anything against them.

But when against Monarchs and above, this weapon would serve its purpose.

The name of this weapon was Fers Du Celestia.

The Chains of Heaven—a soulbound weapon that would only reveal its full might when used against opponents who possessed any form of divinity.

Yes.

Thirteen chose this weapon not to fight against Humans, Monsters, Jinns, or Artemians.

It was a weapon meant to bind Gods.

It wasn't a God Slaying Weapon, but it was the closest thing to Thirteen's ideal.

And now, it was making its debut right after Thirteen awakened the Chandrean Royal Bloodline inside his body.

"Heaven Slaying Arts… First Form," Zia said softly as countless golden chains erupted from her body. "Bind my foes… Shackles of Eden!"

Azoh'Karn roared before charging towards Zia, not caring about the countless chains that were descending on its body.

It didn't believe that the young lady, whom it had easily kidnapped in the past, had the power to defeat it, especially after it had stepped into the ranks of an Archon.
