Chapter 412: Ch 412: Teleportation Formation
This power inside the Flame Ancestor's Heart Core seemed to contain the profound mysteries of the Law of Heaven and Earth.
Just by holding the Flame Ancestor's Heart Orb, Alex could feel the fiery spiritual energy from all directions wanting to pour inside him. Unfortunately, he was not the best contender. Moreover, spiritual energy was afraid of him due to Chaos Energy.
Alex observed the orb for a while and then nodded at the Golden Trial Spirit before asking, "Is there anything special about this temple?"
"Special?" The Golden Trial Spirit shook its head in confusion. As far as it could remember, there was truly nothing special about this temple. So, there was no need to hesitate to answer.
"This temple was built by the Flame Sword Sovereign before the Great Calamity to hide his inheritance here. Flame Sword Sovereign once said that his true inheritance is not the methods or skills he learned, but the Flame Ancestor's Heart Orb. As long as a person could fully refine the orb and comprehend its mysteries, they would inherit everything the Flame Sword Sovereign once possessed, including his strength, his understanding of flame laws, and even the path he once glimpsed beyond the peak of cultivation."
The Golden Trial Spirit paused, its gaze turned solemn. "Unfortunately, the Flame Ancestor's Heart Orb is damaged. Otherwise, he could have truly advanced beyond the Death Domination Stage. Anyways, according to the master, the one who receives the Heart Orb is not just his successor, but the only one qualified to walk the path he left unfinished, and perhaps even break through to the legendary True Divinity Stage."
Alex nodded. He could sense the vast power within the orb. If it truly wasn't damaged, then it may indeed have the ability to help a Death Domination Stage cultivator break through the barrier and ascend to the True Divinity Stage, which is also the pinnacle of power in the entire Astral Sea.
As for the hidden crack he had sensed earlier, Alex could tell that the Golden Trial Spirit was unaware of its existence. Perhaps the true inheritance left behind by the Flame Sword Sovereign was hidden within that crack. Otherwise, how could the items he had obtained along the way alone be enough for this temple to not only survive the end of the Era of Nine Swords but also endure the corrosion of time within the Death Valley?
Of course, this was just Alex's guess. The truth would only be revealed after exploring that crack.
"Follow me."
Ignoring the Trial Spirits, Alex stored the Flame Ancestor's Heart Orb and transformed into a streak of light. In the next moment, he shot upward, shattering the vault's ceiling and darting off in a specific direction.
Very soon, he stopped in front of the right location. Selyara, Elyndra, and Aurelius came as well. As for the Trial Spirits, they didn't follow Alex. They were scared shitless because of the Shadow Devouring Flame. They wanted to stay as far away from Alex as possible.
"There is nothing here? Why did we come here?" Elyndra asked.
Selyara and Aurelius also looked at Alex with curiosity.
Alex smiled and waved his hand, releasing a stream of golden energy that wafted through the air. It was a stream of Chaos Energy, brimming with destructive and chaotic attributes. In an instant, the stream of Chaos Energy collided with an invisible wall and shattered it into countless fragments.
Ka-cha~
To their surprise, Selyara, Elyndra, and Aurelius watched as the invisible barrier crumbled into fragments of corroded energy before dissipating completely, revealing a massive crack in the wall. What was truly mysterious about this crack was that, although it appeared to be part of the wall, it was actually independent, and never truly attached to the temple itself.
"Is that...?"
Selyara seemed to have thought of something and turned to Alex with both a surprised and expectant gaze.
Alex nodded. "Yes, this is an independent dimensional crack. I don't know where it leads, but I can sense that something valuable is hidden beyond it."
Elyndra and Aurelius appeared puzzled, but Selyara was not. Having lived for thousands of years within Death Valley, she had knowledge of many secrets that others did not.
As for Alex, his understanding came from information replicated from others. Considering that he could directly observe the details of anything, it was no surprise that he immediately recognized the crack as an independent dimensional fissure.
"Let's go," Alex said and stepped inside the crack. Others followed suit.
Everyone soon landed in the center of a giant teleportation formation. Due to his high knowledge of arrays and formations, Alex was more sensitive to this aspect. With just a few glances, he could tell the depth of this teleportation formation.
There was a total of nine main nodes, and each node required a specific amount of Energy Crystals. After supplying the crystals, an expert at the Origin Martial God Realm or higher needed to channel their energy into the formation to activate it. Only then could the teleportation formation be triggered, allowing them to be transported to the other side.
Alex could tell that the quality of this teleportation formation was exceptionally high. It was a top-tier formation, capable of instantly teleporting to a distance of at least hundreds of billions of miles.
Moreover, Alex could sense a distinct and mysterious charm emanating from the formation. It felt as though something on the other side was continuously releasing a unique wave, trying to attract attention. Strangely, this wave was somehow connected to the formation's nine nodes on the other side and had managed to seep into this place, faintly influencing the surrounding space.
This is what he had sensed from outside as well.
After carefully inspecting the formation, Alex inserted Energy Crystals into each of the nine nodes. Then he activated the teleportation formation.
With a flash of light, Alex and the other three disappeared. All of them wanted to see where this teleportation formation would lead them.
