Chapter 16: Bone Demon
The Queen groaned as blood trailed down her mouth and when Kurtz removed his knees from her stomach, a large bloodied spike could be seen on it which had in fact jutted out just before his knee impacted her stomach.
The Queen tried to pull back but the bony arm holding her was too firm, Kurtz suddenly saw her opened her mouth and a surge of swirling red aura blasted out continuously slamming into him.
Grunting, he pushed against the surge but slowly and surely, he was being pushed back before the Queen raised her hand as well. Another two column reinforced the main one, Kurtz was picked off his feet slamming violently through a building in the distance only stopping at the other wall and numerous gasps rang out.
Looking to the side, he could see several humans huddled together. Their features distorted in great terror, he however had greater problem at hand.
Suddenly, he saw the human bodies shriveling up one after the other and his eyes widen, the blood surged on into the distance and looking there, he could see the Queen floating in the air as her eyes glowed powerfully.
Both of the Queen’s hands were held out and the blood surging towards her slowly condensed into her palms, forming two dense crimson orbs and Kurtz felt his hairs standing on their end.
Whatever it was that the Queen was preparing, she seems quite confident he would not be able to survive as her glowing eyes were fixed right unto him while a devilish smile was pasted on her face.
Suddenly, his eyes caught the shrivel bodies to the sides and an idea clicked in Kurtz head.
Appearing beside them in an instant, he grabbed one of the body and the bones in it began to crumble before melding into the bone armor on his body and he could feel the armor getting stranger. A distorted smile emerged on Kurtz bony face.
In fact, just like the Queen had said, he looked more like a Demon.
The next body Kurtz went to, he hadn’t reinforce his armor with the bones but instead created a round bony shield in his hand when he suddenly felt great danger emerging from behind.
Looking back, he could see the Queen slamming the orbs in her hands powerfully into each other and a wave of devastating power blasted outwards towards Kurtz who felt his heart sink.
The ground directly under this wave crumbled under its enormous power and he was greatly struggling to maintain his footing, without doubt the Queen had really prepared for him, an attack he would never be able to survive.
Suddenly, Kurtz had caught a figure shot in from behind the Queen landing right between him and the overwhelming attack, it was the King.
“Father” Kurtz muttered as he watched a dense red aura bloomed on the King’s body before he pushed forwards, his hand slamming right into the incoming destructive wave and the King skidded back with great speed.
His wide back was like an impenetrable wall in front of Kurtz and eventually, the King had skidded right to his front but by this time, the whole destructive wave had dissipated and the King’s hand drooped to his side before staggering back.
“Father” Kurtz called holding the King steadily and he could feel his father’s body trembling slightly in his grasp.
“I am sorry Child” the King said after managing to stabilize his erratic breathing but Kurtz did not have much change in emotion, his bony face did not allow him to.
Looking into the distance, he could see the Queen glaring at him while the other five Royal Vampires who were supposed to hold back the King slowly gathered behind her.
“You should find a human nearby and feed” Kurtz said looking at the weakened King who sighed.
“I thought you would gain some understanding when you finally see your mother” the King spoke, his solemn gaze staring into the distance, “the humans are not so different from us, we evolved to possess unexplainable powers but the humans also have their own strength, their strength lays in their resilience and intelligence and that is why we had to make deals with them. Every single human here in the Blood Kingdom have been assured of their right to live on, we only request a blood quota from them once a week. You have watched your mother stood up to remind the Queen of that fact despite knowing the risk, that’s courage, son. I only have a request for you, never think of the humans as just foods” the King said before removing himself from Kurtz hold and looking at the six in the distance, “do what is needed son, I will hold them off” the King said before walking forward and Kurtz eyes widen.
All Royal Vampire were singular existence and not so weaker than each other, even if though his father was the King and one particularly famed for his great strength, that still did not guarantee his survival against six royal vampires, and certainly not after he had used a great deal of power and weakened.
After all, even the Queen who had produced the great attack had only did it with the blood of the humans all around, while the King had refused to even drink from a human.
“Don’t die” Kurtz muttered before turning towards the bodies by the side.
“Do you really want to fight us all to death just because of that Hybrid” the Queen asked with unveiled contempt staring at the King.
“You have always been a rebellious one, Lilith” the King spoke before looking at the other Vampires, “and manipulative as well” he added before his gaze slowly hardened, “however, I King Axim am willing to forgive your rebellion if you turn back at this instant, if not, you shall pay for your sins, with death” the King spoke, his eyes glowing powerfully.
“Maybe if you were at your peak, I could have taken this seriously but you are not, and do you really think I don’t know you are trying to buy time for that Bastard” the Queen said before ordering, “hold the king off, I should go finish that Bastard off” she ordered before blasting forward but a sudden spiral had expanded out from the King encapsulating him, the Queen and the rest of the Vampire in a gigantic
spiraling crimson cyclone.
