Swallowed Star: The Sacred Eye of Duplication

Ye Yun and Luo Feng left the fighter plane, swiftly flying toward the Australian continent.

Kirishima.

Luo Feng looked down at the lake below, curiosity in his voice.

"Ayun, why did you bring me here? The place has changed a lot. The fog is completely gone, and the island in the center looks barren. What happened?"

Ye Yun chuckled. "Ever since Brother Hong subdued that long vine last time, the mist over the lake disappeared. The spirits of the plants and trees growing on the islands were taken away in that battle. It has stayed like this ever since.

"Fengzi, this area is now a restricted zone for the Earth Alliance. Only a few people are allowed to enter."

Luo Feng nodded. When he first discovered this foggy island, he wasn't strong enough to explore it. The Mo Yun vine was later subdued by Hong, and he never learned much about what happened afterward. Now, hearing Ye Yun's words, it seemed there were even deeper secrets here.

Ye Yun raised his hand, and his mental power condensed into a force that struck the lake's surface. Water splashed violently, causing a huge disturbance. Just as Luo Feng was about to ask what was going on, the water below churned wildly, forming massive whirlpools.

Thick tentacles suddenly emerged from the whirlpools, lashing toward them. There were thirteen in total, each moving with the speed and sharpness of a diamond spear.

Ye Yun smiled, firing a water-like energy beam into the lake. The tentacles slammed into an invisible barrier, unable to move forward. A piercing shriek echoed from below, and the tentacles swiftly retracted. The lake trembled even more violently, its center in turmoil.

Moments later, the screams faded. A blue, soft-looking water spear rose from the depths, impaling an object resembling a turtle shell. Thirteen tentacles dangled limply from it, completely lifeless.

"Alright, Fengzi, let's head down."

Luo Feng followed, still processing what he had just witnessed. It wasn't the tentacle monster that shocked him the most, but Ye Yun's precise control over his mental power. He had always believed mental power had limited effects on living beings, but Ye Yun had easily neutralized the attack. This opened a new door of possibilities for him.

Ye Yun glanced at Luo Feng and smiled. "Fengzi, the word 'control' in 'spiritual master and controller' isn't just for show. There are countless ways to apply spiritual power in the universe. You'll discover more in time."

Luo Feng nodded with a smile and followed Ye Yun into the lake. Within moments, they reached the bottom.

Without stopping, Ye Yun led the way along a path he had previously traveled. Eventually, they reached a location about 15,600 meters underground.

Stopping in front of a large metal door, Ye Yun turned to Luo Feng. "Fengzi, aren't you curious about how I became so strong so quickly? This is one of the reasons."

They walked through the passage without any obstacles and soon arrived at a large hall. As the lights flickered on, a familiar figure appeared—Babata, the little devil-like AI.

Babata had already detected their arrival. He looked at Ye Yun with a knowing smile before turning his gaze to Luo Feng, who was filled with shock and disbelief.

Ye Yun spoke first. "Babata, we meet again."

Babata hummed, keeping his eyes on Luo Feng. "Luo Feng, you're finally here! I've been waiting for tens of thousands of years!"

Luo Feng was still confused. After a brief explanation from Ye Yun and Babata, he finally understood the situation. With a complex expression, he asked, "Babata, you said you're from Meteorite Star, the one mentioned by the No. 9 Relic Intelligence?"

Babata nodded, looking somewhat frustrated. "You Earthlings have such poor qualifications! I've waited so long, and finally, someone barely meets my standards! It's disappointing, but this is the best I can get.

"You passed the elite disciple assessment of Yunmo Star, meaning you've already joined my Yunmo Star. Now, I ask you—are you willing to take my master as your teacher and become the future master of Yunmo Star?"

Luo Feng glanced at Ye Yun, who was winking at him. Taking a deep breath, he asked, "Babata, you met my brother first, right? Why choose me?"

Babata and Ye Yun exchanged looks before Babata answered, "Do you think just anyone can inherit Yunmo Star's legacy? Ye Yun is impressive, and his growth has exceeded my expectations. But your potential will surpass his! When I pick a successor, I choose the best."

Ye Yun patted Luo Feng's shoulder and smiled. "Alright, Fengzi, I get what you're thinking. But like Babata said, everyone has their own path. You should accept the inheritance of Yunmo Star! Otherwise, you'll always be left behind by me.

"I've sent you a coordinate. When you finish here, come find me."

With that, Ye Yun turned and left. Luo Feng watched him disappear before shifting his gaze back to Babata. Taking a deep breath, he said, "Alright, I accept."

Ye Yun left Australia, heading straight for the Hawaiian Islands. When he arrived, a black-clad figure, A'long, was already waiting.

"Have you confirmed the location?"

A'long nodded respectfully. "Yes, about 300 kilometers into the deep sea from here. According to our scans, it will happen within the next few days."

Satisfied, Ye Yun landed on the island and began cultivating, waiting for Luo Feng.

Days later, Luo Feng arrived. He followed Ye Yun and A'long into the deep sea. Sea monsters scattered at A'long's presence, allowing them to move unhindered until they reached the seabed.

Inside Luo Feng's mind, Babata suddenly exclaimed, "Luo Feng, Ye Yun has a cosmic-level slave?! Just what kind of secrets does he have to achieve this so fast?"

Luo Feng wasn't too surprised—only curious about what Ye Yun was searching for in the deep sea.

After moving a few hundred meters, they spotted an enormous black egg, about twelve meters in diameter. It trembled slightly, radiating powerful life energy. Ye Yun raised a hand, signaling them to stop.

As time passed, the egg's vibrations intensified, revealing strange golden patterns. Babata frantically scanned its data, but before he could identify it, a crisp crack echoed. More cracks quickly followed, and soon, the eggshell shattered completely. A black, mucus-covered creature emerged.

It immediately began devouring the eggshell. Within minutes, a third of it was gone, revealing its true form—a reptilian beast with pitch-black scales, powerful limbs, and a pair of wings. A long tail swayed behind it, resembling that of a dragon.

But its most striking feature was the single golden horn on its head, glowing faintly with mysterious markings.

Babata suddenly gasped, "This... this is a Golden-Horned Beast?!"

Luo Feng's eyes widened. "Golden-Horned Beast? You mean one of the peak bloodlines in the universe? A star beast?"

Babata calmed himself. "Yes. Even among cosmic beasts, this one has an elite bloodline. I never expected to find a newborn on Earth. Luo Feng, you're unbelievably lucky."

Meanwhile, Ye Yun and A'long remained composed, watching the beast consume its shell. When it had finished, its body had grown from 12 to 16 meters.

Ye Yun signaled A'long, who reached out a massive claw and clamped onto the beast. The newborn struggled and roared furiously, but it couldn't break free.

Now that it was closer, Ye Yun observed its intricate golden markings. They spread from its horn across its body like an elegant, glowing armor. Even its wings and claws bore the mysterious patterns.

The Golden-Horned Beast was finally revealed.
