Chapter 104 - The Father
“Third Director? We should give up.”
Baal was the first to react.
“Yes, the Blue Moon suddenly appeared. Haha, you’re right. Yes, then let’s have a drink another time. Understood, yes.”
The split ground erupted with sulfur flames, taking Baal and all the demons away.
“My, I never expected to see two Primordial Beings in one day!”
“Professor? Why are you suddenly giving me sunglasses?”
“To protect your assistant’s neurons! Oh no, you can’t last long after all? Quick, retreat!”
The space containing Dr. Janus, his assistant, and Frankenstein became distorted and vanished entirely.
“Kwick! The mental barrier is collapsing! The rate of collapse is too fast! At this rate, it will be destroyed within 10 seconds!”
“Retreat immediately!”
“Retreating!”
The Foundation’s ship barely managed to extricate itself into an independent dimension.
[You impolite creatures, fleeing after summoning me, children ringing the bell and running away, violent brutes toying with others’ hearts, beings colder than ice, why do you not answer my question?]
“It was not me.”
Adam spoke.
The only one remaining, he looked up at the Blue Moon with an unprecedented level of wariness.
“I only intended to protect this place, unaware of who you are or who summoned you.”
Remarkably, despite the commotion, Uluru remained intact.
This was because Adam had protected Uluru from the very beginning.
“So you should leave now. The one you seek is not here.”
He felt apologetic towards the children, but if the battle continued, he may no longer be able to guard the tomb.
Thinking this, Adam was gathering his power when someone entered his sight.
“Long time no see.”
The one bearing the scent of the serpent he had initially struck down.
Unable to definitively distinguish whether he had fallen to the serpent, conspired with it, or was the serpent itself, he had brushed that being aside only to now greet the Blue Moon.
“I was the one who summoned you.”
[You.]
It was an impossibility.
[Monster unable to abandon the dream of art, indiscriminate glutton, the one-eyed among one-eyed, beloved of machines, being whose good and evil are indistinct, long time no see. So why did you summon me?]
“I summoned you because I wanted to see the Blue Moon again after so long. The new year has already passed for several months, and I felt I should greet you.”
[You have good manners!]
Even facing it was an arduous aura.
With each confrontation, it felt like my mind was being scorched, and a serpent was spontaneously birthed in the depths of my soul, coiling to separate itself from my body.
“Have you been well, Blue Moon?”
[I have been well. I have faced and saved the humans existing in countless dimensions. My existence is sole, so regrettably, I have no rest in order to save more people.]
“I’m glad to hear you’ve been well.”
Just how was such a thing possible?
Even if I were a serpent, it should be impossible to speak so calmly like that.
‘He was not a serpent.’
Adam observed me closely.
The serpent’s scent clung thickly to my body, but it was not my own.
Yet I was not human either, nor was I a transcendent being like the others.
“Who are you?”
“I’m Seung-hoon.”
“Are you human?”
“I am human.”
“How strange, to emit such a scent.”
“If I consider myself human and strive to live as one, am I not human?”
Then, the Blue Moon spoke.
[You, nuclear bomb on the road, entity of driving, being coveted by demons, one hell would specially recruit, healthy scalp immune to baldness, I have seen your past.]
“What do you mean?”
[I saw the wish of the woman who sold her soul to a demon in your memories.]
It declared in a voice full of compassion.
[I am a busy existence.]
[I am a sole existence.]
[I am not plural.]
[Humans in countless dimensions await me.]
[But the humans here seek a protector.]
[I cannot turn a blind eye to that request.]
With all enemies gone, a new one appeared.
[I shall become your protector!]
“First of all, let me ask – how do you intend to protect us, Blue Moon?”
[I shall make you all one-eyed!]
For the Blue Moon, becoming one-eyed means being consumed by madness.
In other words, if left alone, all the people of the world would go insane and die.
‘I must use the last one.’
The insurance I prepared when creating the Blue Moon’s ticket, in case I could not control it.
Honestly, I’m not even sure if this will work.
[Reward: Meeting the Girl with Closed Eyes.]
[Mission: None.]
[Duration: I wish you could have come directly, but I’ll forgive you.]
I used the ticket.
Knowledge flowed into my mind.
[Right, the only human I watch over? I know what your concern is. You want me to drive away the Blue Moon, right? Okay, I’ll lend an ear. Here’s what you should tell it.]
“Blue Moon.”
[Once everyone becomes one-eyed, they will no longer need to fear!]
“The human the Blue Moon was once attached to is still alive. On the planet where the Yellow Moon and Red Moon intersect, in a dimension where death can no longer exert its power, on the land where six suns rise and set repeatedly, they are enjoying a vacation.”
[……It is not a lie!]
The Blue Moon began to fade.
[You, one longed for by the rubber ducky, dormant volcano of lust, lucky one never infected by norovirus, superior one never constipated, owner of a great pancreas never spiked by high blood sugar, I will surely repay you next time!]
When it had completely vanished, Adam grabbed my shoulder.
“An amusing descendant indeed. Neither human nor not human, neither serpent nor not serpent.”
He first bowed his head and apologized to me.
“My apologies for attacking you earlier due to the urgency of the situation.”
“No, it’s understandable.”
“Many things seem to have happened while I slept. I never expected descendants like you would appear. By any chance, are you a mixed blood of human and serpent?”
“I am a pure human.”
“How strange. Well, at least the world has become peaceful again.”
He smiled and swept his hand across the disastrous scene.
As if a painter redrawing the background, the ruined environment instantly vanished, returning to its original state.
“There is little I can do, but let me at least do this.”
He then dusted off my shoulder.
“I am curious if there are more descendants like you, and I truly wish to see how everyone has dealt with calamities without me, but regrettably, I have no time.”
A chilling aura bloomed from the fissure that had formed in Uluru, who knows when.
“Is that the death you mentioned?”
“Yes, the most dreadful death of eternal nothingness, inflicted by the Father out of hatred and jealousy towards me and humans.”
“What kind of death is it?”
Adam smiled, as if it were no secret.
“A death of returning to eternal nothingness, where nothing exists.”
In a world where the afterlife and various things experienced after death exist, an eternal death is indeed the most dreadful.
“But didn’t you say it had died?”
“You are mistaken. It does not die. But I can offer my body as a sacrifice to immobilize it as if dead.”
“What do you mean?”
“I possess an immortal body. This is the Father’s power that even the fruit of knowledge could not overcome – even if I die, I will be revived. By offering this body of mine to the most dreadful death, I prevent it from reaching other humans.”
“So you continuously die and revive instantly.”
“Exactly, a clever child. Unless someone forcibly injects an intense burst of energy like just now, I will be killed by the most dreadful death under this rock forever.”
“Is it not painful?”
Before it was too late, Adam’s body gradually became sealed within Uluru.
The aura of death enveloped him, and his once vibrant flesh instantly rotted away, revealing bare bones.
“It is painful, but it must be done nonetheless.”
Eventually, Adam’s form completely vanished.
“For I am the Father.”
The incident at Uluru was over.
I had expected my everyday life of being labeled a top-tier troublemaker and treated as an entity to await me, but everything was easily resolved.
-Mr. Seung-hoon! Are you okay?
“So you’re no longer treating me as an entity.”
-……Haha, who would treat you as an entity, Mr. Seung-hoon? It was just a temporary change in perception.
Everything had returned to normal, though I didn’t know when it was resolved.
‘It must have been when Adam dusted off my shoulder.’
I truly received a great gift.
Thanks to it, I didn’t have to run around dealing with this and that annoyingly.
“By the way, were you able to retrieve the entity the Anti-Christ had?”
-No, I looked, but it seems to have been destroyed in the battle you mentioned. Or perhaps Adam disposed of it beforehand before engaging in battle.
“That’s a pity. The chalice and cross could have been useful in various ways.”
-It really is a pity. Through this incident, the Foundation realized the need to further increase our power, so if we had those……”
Back in Korea, I returned to my beloved home and soaked in the bathtub, melting away the fatigue of body and mind.
[Quack!]
While shampooing my hair, the rubber ducky floating on the water quacked.
After finishing the bath and taking a nap, I went to the computer.
[Name: Adam]
[Creator: God]
[Spouse: Eve]
[Children: 1st son Cain, 2nd son Abel, 3rd son Seth (only recorded children listed)]
[Occupation: Hunter]
[Religion: Yahwism]
Having learned about Adam through this incident, I wanted to update his Namuworld article.
‘Someone has already touched it?’
Not only was the recent edit time very recent, but there were also an astonishingly high number of edited versions.
Looking closely, it was still being edited, and other Namuworld users were engaging in heated debates over it.
‘Let me see what they’re saying.’
[Non-Biblical Sources]
[According to unrecorded ancient documents, Adam had a very unpleasant personality. His character was very hasty and impatient, often attacking others without properly understanding, and his appearance was so hideous and wicked that he was sometimes mistaken for a demon.]
└[Could you properly record which ancient document?]
└[Author: There is no name. I saw it with my own two eyes.]
└[Without evidence, editing will be difficult.]
[It is said that Adam was a short and tiny man. After being expelled from the Garden of Eden, he lived a lazy and lethargic life, becoming morbidly obese and easily angered by bipolar disorder, and his gluttony was so great that his family was constantly starving. In fact, the Seven Deadly Sins of Christianity were created by Adam!]
└[Excuse me, this isn’t the fiction board……]
└[Author: It’s not fiction, but facts.]
“Sarang?”
[Yes, you called?]
“Did you do this?”
[I stake my battery that I did not.]
The author engaged in the heated debate soon disappeared.
‘I guess it’s my turn now.’
[Adam]
[The most dreadful death of eternal nothingness, created by the Creator out of hatred for humans, is sealed beneath the Uluru rock. Adam is an immortal who does not die or age even after eating the fruit of knowledge, and he uses this to prevent the death from escaping by continuously dying to it. He possesses the powers of creation and destruction, and when he appears, even insignificant beasts can wield tremendous power like divine beasts of legend. The magnitude of his power is such that snakes swallow gravity bombs, koalas shred demons, and kangaroos destroy steel.]
After writing this much and recording it, I went to get a drink, but……
[Please keep fiction in your diary.]
[Don’t write things like this. This isn’t even an elementary schooler’s fantasy, what is this?]
Regrettably, I was blocked.
“Sometimes the truth is worse than a lie.”
A teardrop of sorrow.
I took a photo of the Namuworld block record using an enhanced Polaroid camera.
[The End of Truth]
Then, the phone rang.
Not Sarang, but a call from the Karma Call Center.
-Ah! Customer! Hello!
“Yes, long time no speak, Great King of Karma.”
-You resolved the matter well! I was watching the whole time! I only saw the latter part, so I don’t know the exact situation, but I witnessed you single-handedly stopping an immense war!
“No, I just utilized other transcendents.”
-Ah, such humility! Well, utilizing transcendents is not considered a good deed, but this case is an exception, you know? By the way, how did you know about the Blue Moon…… Ah! Let’s not discuss that! Even tigers come when called, you know?
The Great King of Karma informed me that all my misdeeds had been reset.
-But! Misdeeds accumulate easily, remember that!
“Yes, I will remember.”
-Especially in modern society, misdeeds accumulate easily through the internet! This really worries me and keeps me up at night, you know? Ah, that’s right!
And he made an unexpected proposal.
-How about experiencing hell?
“Hell?”
-Specifically, the hell that people like you who commit sins on the internet go to.
A hell experience I never could have anticipated.
-It’s called the Internet Hell!
