Under Coco's guidance, Idan reached the outer walls of the city without any difficulty.

Now all he had to do was overcome this high wall to get outside the city. However, as Idan approached the wall, he felt a powerful restriction that prevented him from using his powers, especially the abilities that allowed him to fly.

Idan was amazed that such a large city could have such a strong defense.

"How did you get into the city, Coco?" asked Idan, turning to the fox cub. Coco just tilted her head, and then gestured as she tore through space and jumped inside.

"This is really cheating," Idan grumbled, realizing what Coco meant. "The ability to travel through the void is really cheating!"

After examining the high wall, Idan immediately abandoned the idea of flying. Climbing the wall was also risky—someone might notice him, and Coco couldn't distract attention because of the intense suppression.

There was only one way left — to go through the official gate.

Finding a secluded spot not far from the gate, Idan carefully looked around to make sure that no one was around and no one was watching him. He then took out a Secret Concealment Sphere from his spatial storage, and then one of the two guards of the Trading House they had captured.

Once free, the guard tried to raise the alarm, but the Sphere quickly suppressed his attempts. Looking at this strange humanoid creature, Idan doubted if he could copy its appearance with a Ghost Mask.

"Oh, it wasn't," he thought, and, grabbing the bound guard tightly, he applied the Ghost Mask to his ugly face.

To his surprise, everything worked flawlessly.

Releasing the guard, Idan turned his attention to the mask in his hands. Even without using the "Identification Eye", he somehow understood that there was still one free slot left to copy the appearance of any creature.

"So there are only three copy slots," Idan muttered. "When all three free slots are full, I can delete one of them and use it again to copy a new one."

"Besides, the number of slots will increase as my rank increases. I currently have a Golden rank, so there are only three free slots. Once I break through to the Platinum rank, their number will increase to four!"

This thought, which Idan had not known before, suddenly appeared in his mind after he successfully copied the second appearance.

Having dealt with the Mask, Idan, despite the screams of the guard, undressed him and, opening the Access Door, threw him back inside, covering his strange and ugly causal spots with a piece of cloth.

"Well, shall we try?" asked Idan, glancing at Coco. She nodded and jumped off his shoulder, landing neatly on the ground.

When the Mask touched Idan's face, just like last time, not only his face, but his entire body began to change. His height increased to two meters, just like a real guard, and his wiry build began to shrink, turning into a lean one.

His handsome face became ugly, with a protruding jaw, sharp teeth, and inky eyes. All the hair fell out, leaving a smooth bald spot, and bizarre holes of various sizes appeared in place of the ears.

His very aura changed, taking on the aura of this ugly bizarre creature of darkness.

"How's it going?" — Idan asked in a hoarse voice, looking at Coco. As if sensing something unpleasant, she shrank back, and her face contorted in disgust.

"It seems to have worked," Idan nodded, watching Coco's reaction to his new disguise.

"Okay, let's go," he said, awkwardly putting on the strange guard's clothes, and walked awkwardly towards the gate.

Less than ten minutes later, Idan, in the form of a guard, was already standing outside the gate, peering with great interest into the wild and dangerous nature of the World of Darkness.

"Damn guards," he muttered to himself, but then, remembering that he had to hurry, he quickly strode away from the gate.

Idan did not expect that the guards would be the same creatures whose appearance he had assumed.

He almost got caught, and only the incredible disguise of the Ghost Mask helped him avoid this difficult situation.

To get through the gate faster, he had to spend a significant amount of local currency. You could say that Idan, even though he was in another world, had to pay a bribe to get through.

"Even here, in another world, money solves most problems, — Idan thought ironically, handing the dark coins to the guards.

"Woo-woo-woo, — Coco purred, drawing Idan's attention.

"Yes, Coco, I know, — Idan replied to the fox, who still did not dare to climb up to his shoulder while he was in this form.

When Idan walked far enough away from the gate and disappeared from sight, a dark figure appeared in front of him from behind a large dark strange local tree. Clad in dark clothes that hid his entire appearance, a figure stepped out from behind a tree. It was difficult to determine who he was or what race he belonged to.

"Shi-shi-shi," there was a strange laugh coming from the figure in black.

"Shi-shi-shi," another similar laugh was heard from the side, and another figure appeared out of the darkness.

"Shi-shi-shi," and another one joined them.

One by one, eight figures appeared around Idan, dressed in identical dark robes.

After hearing this unusual laugh eight times in a row, the annoyed Idan decided to try to reproduce it.

"Shi-shi-shi," he laughed, and to his surprise, he did no worse than the other eight.

Coco stared at Idan, almost wide-eyed, in disbelief at her small ears.

Powerful fluctuations of strength corresponding to the platinum rank emanated from the first figure that appeared. The other seven radiated fluctuations of gold-ranked power.

Idan, using his Soul Power, plunged into the spatial storage.

"Belle," he called through the mental link.

"Dan?" Arabel replied instantly.

"I need help," Idan said bluntly.

Idan could have taken on all the opponents on his own, but he didn't want to test his strength because of the rush. He was eager to deal with this problem as soon as possible and get away from the city.

When Arabel heard that Idan needed help, she left the spatial storage without hesitation and suddenly appeared next to him.

Her gaze fell on the eight dark figures that surrounded her, and on a strange creature that she immediately recognized as Idan.

"You're so ugly," she said with a smile, looking at Idan.

"Shi-shi-shi, — Idan replied with a strange laugh that silenced Arabel.

Then, in front of the eight dark figures who were surprised by Arabel's sudden appearance, Idan returned to his true and familiar form.

"Let's go!" he said through a mental link, pulling out his sword, and rushed at the dark figures, while Arabel hurried in the opposite direction, joining the battle.
