Chapter 298: Oh shit!
Arabel, who had been flying non-stop for some time, felt that she was approaching her destination. Coco, trembling on her shoulder, also confirmed her suspicions, signaling that they were already close.
Some time ago, Arabel was weakened due to Idan using the System's unique ability and taking away half of her stats. However, now she felt her strength recovering.
"System, how is Idan?" — she asked immediately after she felt that her stats had returned to normal.
[The other Host is fine, except for the excruciating headache], the System replied, informing Idan's condition.
"Phew..." Arabel breathed in relief.
"A headache? Well, he'll bear with it," she thought, unaware of how Idan was suffering at that time and barely holding back tears.
[Host...] — soon, the System shared with her all the information about what happened to Idan, and detailed the abilities of their enemies.
After Arabel listened to the information from the System, she slowed down the flight a bit and stopped rushing.
From what she had learned, it was clear that the enemies were very dangerous, and without proper preparation and a plan, she shouldn't go there alone.
"I'll have to thank Idan for this information later. Otherwise, I do not know what would have happened if I had faced these enemies without preparation," Arabel muttered. Patting Coco, she continued flying, but not so fast, thinking over her plan of action.

In the sky, not far from the city of Rumbus, a jet aircraft was flying at high speed. Inside it, in addition to the two crew members, there was a group of six awakened ones.
One of the girls addressed the leader:
"Hey, leader, could you repeat for what purpose we are heading to Rumbus?"
Their leader was a Gold-ranked awakened one, who underwent significant changes after each breakthrough. She became a real beauty with long brown hair and heterochromia — her right eye glowed red, while the left had the usual brown hue.
All six of them were wearing identical combat suits with a fox head emblem on their left chests.
"The leader of the Queens Guild" Irene personally made a request to us," the girls' leader said calmly.
"According to her, something is wrong at the border. She received information about a group of unknown women in Rumbus who pretend to be members of her guild. Irene asked me to check these rumors, as well as find two of her trusted people," the leader continued.
"Is it difficult for her to come and check on herself?" — one of the girls asked with some indignation.
"She said it was urgent, and it so happened that our group was the closest to Rumbus, so she contacted us," the leader replied calmly.
"Hmm..." the girl mumbled, a little displeased with this answer.
"In any case, Irene will owe us," the Leader said, closing her eyes and concentrating. The other girls also stopped asking questions, calmly waiting to arrive at the Rumbus.
Soon they approached the city and established contact with the control room. The pilots received disturbing news that a state of emergency has been declared in Rumbus due to a wave of animals. All long-range communications were blocked, and access was only to the local network and some frequencies, so the outside world did not yet know about the attack.
The six awakened girls, upon hearing this news, immediately changed and began to prepare for battle.
"Specify the location of the battle and fly over the battlefield," the Leader ordered, addressing the pilots. They nodded, accepting her order.
"Well, girls, it looks like we're going to have a long night," the Leader said with a smile, but for some reason the others didn't share her joy.

The effect of the "Explosive Force" pill taken by Idan was not long in coming.
As soon as it was in the stomach, it immediately dissolved, and along the walls of the stomach, its active substances quickly penetrated into Idan's body, filling it with strength.
Even the excruciating pain in his head had subsided slightly, allowing Idan to think and reason more clearly.
The temperature around him increased by several degrees, and the air began to blur slightly.
"Ahh..." groaned Idan, feeling a surge of unearthly strength and relief that the headache had receded.
However, Idan understood that this was only a temporary improvement. As soon as the effect of the pill is over, his headache will return with renewed vigor. Idan wasn't an optimist, so he expected the pain to be even more excruciating than before. After all, as he had read in the stories, such pills should have a side effect. And since the pill gave such a powerful surge of strength, then after its action, Idan should have weakened greatly, and then the headache would have become unbearable.
If it wasn't for the current situation, Idan would never have taken this pill. But right now, he had no choice. After that, he will have to suffer a little.
Idan, looking at his new sword, noticed that it had some minor damage from a recent battle. These damages reminded him of the effects of the madness energy.
This made him realize that even a sturdy sword like this was unable to withstand the fusion of three different types of energies without consequences.
However, unlike his old sword, the damage wasn't that severe. If Idan does not abuse the energy of madness, this sword can still serve him for a long time.
In this short time, the defenses of all three sides were partially restored, but they were not as reliable as they were before the three outsiders attacked.
Idan was not an optimist and understood that he alone would not be able to contain the entire wave and prevent casualties. There will be victims, and there will be many.
All he could do was try to minimize their number.
Nico and his group retreated outside the defense to give themselves time to rest before the beasts reached the border and engaged in battle.
Idan was left alone on the battlefield, waiting for the incoming wave of beasts. Soon, the first beast emerged from the forest and ran out into the open field. It was followed by a second and a third.
In a matter of seconds, more than a dozen beasts appeared in Idan's field of vision, and their numbers continued to grow.
However, what surprised and greatly frightened Idan, despite his readiness for battle, was that all the animals, seeing him as if he were their sworn enemy, rushed towards him with great fury, ignoring everything.
"Oh shit!" — Idan blurted out, looking at all this.
