SUPREME ARCH-MAGUS

Chapter 407: Please Spare ME!

High above the battlefield, in the skies, all the demi-gods and other god races watching the fight between Kent and Simon with curious looks.

The Space God moved close to Storm God to make a little teasing.

The Space God, draped in a cloak of shimmering starlight, gazed down with a mix of pride as he stared at Simon who is using the shadow orb of his.

"Simon has wielded the Shadow Orb well. I hope your divine disc protects that young man's life."

The Storm God, a towering figure, nodded solemnly. "Kent's strength is not just in his brute force but in his bravery. His inner spirit is a form of Three-Phased God. A legacy that even the gods respect. I hope your inheritor won't end up in Knet's arms." The Storm God rumbled, his voice like thunder rolling through the heavens.

As the two gods spoke, their conversation caught the attention of several demi-gods who had been silently observing. One, a demi-god of fire, grunted in approval.

"Simon is crafty, but Kent... there's something primal about him. He doesn't just fight—he dominates. If anyone is worthy of a divine legacy, it's him."

Another demi-god, one with an aura of wisdom, raised an eyebrow. "But Simon has shown great promise in his manipulation of space. The Shadow Orb is not to be taken lightly. It is equal in rank to the Divine Disc that Kent wields."

The discussion among the gods grew more animated, with opinions clashing over who would be the more suitable candidate to receive a higher god's legacy.

The tension in the air was palpable as they debated the merits of each warrior, but when the question arose of which god would offer their legacy to Simon and Kent, a hush fell over the divine assembly. No one spoke, each deity contemplating the weight of such a decision.

Back on the battlefield, Simon continued to exploit the Shadow Orb's powers, teleporting around Kent with frustrating ease. His attacks, though quick and precise, only served to deepen Kent's growing fury. Each time Simon struck, Kent's rage flared hotter, until it finally reached a boiling point. The onlookers watched in anticipation, knowing something was about to happen. Supreme Sword Magus, who had been observing the fight from the periphery of the blessed land, leaned forward in his seat. His eyes widened as he felt the shift in Kent's energy.

"Something is coming!" The sword magus muttered, his grip tightening on his sword.

Lily, standing beside him, felt a shiver run down her spine. "This power… what is this fellow cooking?!."

Ignoring the relentless barrage from Simon, Kent's eyes glowed with a fierce determination. He drew in a deep breath and chanted the ancient spell for Inner Spirit transformation of the Golden Body.

"Suvarna Deha Bhuta Prakasa Atma Vikara Rupa!"

The words echoed across the battlefield, resonating with a power that shook the very earth. In an instant, Kent's body began to transform.

Golden wings sprouted from his back, his skin hardened into a layer of unyielding gold, and his head morphed into the fierce visage of a lion with a mane of blazing golden hair. His claws gleamed like razor-sharp blades, and his entire form radiated a divine aura that made the air itself tremble.

Gasps of astonishment filled the battlefield. Even those who knew Kent well were stunned into silence by the sight of his transformation.

The roar that erupted from his lion-like maw sent shockwaves through the crowd, causing some to faint from sheer terror.

The onlookers could only watch in awe as the golden beast that was once Kent towered over the battlefield.

In the 7th realm, Jason, who had been seated comfortably in his throne-like chair, found himself slipping to the ground in shock. "Impossible..." he stammered, his voice barely a whisper. "Only one man in all the nine realms could perform that transformation…!?"

Beside Jason, Ryon stood frozen, his mouth agape as the glass in his hand shattered, forgotten. "Inner Spirit transformation... How did he learn it?"

Both Ryon and Jason muttered Tang Zi's name simultaneously as they stared at Kent on the glass orb.

Even some of the lower gods, witnessing the three phased god's spirit transformation, felt compelled to kneel in reverence. The beast form that Kent had taken was not just a show of strength—it was a manifestation of a power that was deeply respected, even feared, by the gods themselves.

On the battlefield, Simon felt the weight of Kent's transformation bearing down on him. The very air around him seemed to thicken, resisting his attempts to manipulate space.

The natural aura of the beastly form Kent had assumed was overwhelming, making it increasingly difficult for Simon to teleport or mend the space around him as he had before.

"This... this can't be!" Simon growled, sweat beading on his forehead as he struggled to maintain control over the Shadow Orb. Each time he attempted to teleport, the oppressive aura of Kent's beast form pushed back, disrupting his focus.

Simon teleported a few meters away, only to find Kent already there, waiting for him with a look of pure wrath. The golden wings were helping Kent to move at the speed of light.

Desperation crept into Simon's eyes as he realized the advantage he once held was slipping away. He attempted another teleportation, but this time, Kent was faster.

With a burst of speed that defied belief, Kent lunged at Simon, his golden wings propelling him forward. Before Simon could react, Kent's clawed hand shot out, grabbing Simon by the throat with crushing force.

The impact sent a shockwave through the ground, and Simon's eyes bulged in terror as he felt the iron grip around his neck tighten.

"K-Kent!" Simon gasped, struggling to breathe, his voice a mix of fear and disbelief. "You can't... you… you… you won't dare...

Kent's lion-like face twisted into a snarl. "It's time to end this drama…"

With a mighty roar that shook the heavens, Kent slammed Simon into the ground with bone-shattering force. The earth cracked and splintered beneath the impact, and Simon's body crumpled like a ragdoll, his internal organs shattered from the sheer power of the blow. Blood gushed from his mouth as he struggled to cling to life.

The battlefield fell silent, the onlookers too stunned to speak. Even the gods in the sky paused in their chanting, their eyes fixed on the scene below. The tension in the air was palpable as everyone awaited what would happen next.

As Simon's life hung by a thread, he desperately activated the last vestiges of the Shadow Orb's power, teleporting away from Kent's grasp just in time to save himself from certain death. He reappeared several meters away, barely able to stand, his body trembling from the exertion.

But the shadow orb is missing from Simon's hand. Before he teleported away, Kent intentionally let him slip to grab the orb without resistance. He knows that the orb will be connected to Simon like his divine disc. So, Kent decided to break it.

"No... no...!" Simon croaked, his voice weak and full of despair. "Not the Orb... Please..."

Kent stared down at Simon with cold, unyielding eyes. "You were never worthy of it," he said flatly.

In the divine realm, the gods resumed their chanting, but this time with a renewed fervor. The time of blessing had come, and as they placed their hands over their hearts, they began channeling their divine essence into the War God statue that stood as a symbol of power and authority.
