Superman's Saiyan little brother

Chapter 561: Chapter 561: The Unlucky One's Second Arrival

Before the Avengers could react, the now stronger vampire leader charged headfirst into the telekinetic barrier. The werewolf leader and the remaining vampires and werewolves followed closely behind, mistakenly believing he could break through the barrier. The force of their collision was immense, leaving the vampire leader relatively unscathed, but the others were dazed by the impact.

If this were an animated world, little stars and birds would be circling the heads of the vampires and werewolves.

"Hahaha! These vampires and werewolves don't seem too bright!" The Avengers couldn't help but mock them.

The Avengers had been prepared for a fight, with silver weapons and UV equipment at the ready. But the vampires and werewolves showed no will to fight, only to escape.

It wasn't entirely their fault for being so timid. Seeing the Avengers slaughter so many superhumans had already shaken them. Now, seeing the Avengers pull out weapons specifically designed to counter them, they had no courage left to fight.

"These don't seem like local vampires and werewolves!" Martian Manhunter noted as he observed the vampire leader glaring at them. "When we dealt with the vampires in Gaul, one of them had a similar ability, though we killed them before they could show much."

"You mean the ones who tried to kill their own kind?" The Avengers remembered the vampires who had turned on each other when the battle turned against them. They hadn't given it much thought at the time and had simply wiped them all out.

Now, seeing this vampire leader grow stronger by consuming the blood of his fallen comrades, they understood what those vampires had been trying to do. They realized that this vampire leader and his followers were likely the survivors from Europe.

"With your current strength, it's still not enough?" The werewolf leader, recovering from his dazed state, looked at the vampire leader with a hint of disbelief. "How much more do you need to break through?"

"It's difficult..." The vampire leader's face was tinged with bitterness. "It looks like we won't make it out alive. Without us, there's no hope for a resurgence of our kind."

"No! We can't give up! If we do, there will be no more vampires or werewolves left in this world!" The werewolf leader shook his head resolutely. "You must carry on our legacy and continue to fight."

"You..." The vampire leader was momentarily stunned by the werewolf leader's words, unsure how to respond.

Historically, aside from a period of uneasy peace between Alexander's line of vampires and werewolves, most other origins had been enemies. But with the threat of extinction looming, these two leaders had found common ground.

Now, the werewolf leader was willing to sacrifice himself to help the vampire leader escape, ensuring that their kind had a chance to survive a bit longer. The idea of defeating the Avengers and thriving again was no longer in their minds.

"Are we just going to stand here and watch?" Johnny Storm scratched his head, feeling like they were playing the villain waiting for the heroes to power up and fight back.

"If we don't push them, how can we draw out the bigger fish? This method of gaining strength by consuming comrades will eventually cause his mind to collapse. Otherwise, he would have used it to increase his power earlier..." Martian Manhunter's eyes glinted. He and Robert, who remained hidden, shared the same strategy.

"So, when his mind collapses completely, it might attract the dark dimension's consciousness. That's when we can catch the big fish."

"Got it. I thought we all went dumb for a second... Ow!" Johnny Storm hadn't finished speaking when Susan Storm smacked him on the head, making him shut up.

The vampire and werewolf side lived up to the Avengers' expectations of a tragic atmosphere. The surviving vampires and werewolves offered their blood to strengthen the vampire leader. The last werewolf leader even tore out his own heart to give to the vampire leader, collapsing from blood and energy loss.

Seeing this, Moon Knight felt a pang of frustration. After hunting werewolves for so long, his moon-shaped throwing weapon was nearly saturated with their power. He had hoped to complete his task with these werewolves, but they had sacrificed themselves to the vampire leader.

He considered intervening but decided against it. After all, he had been following the Avengers' lead for a while, benefiting from their support. It would be ungrateful to interfere now.

"You will pay for this!" The vampire leader, feeling the surge of power, glared at the Avengers.

"Aaaaaaaah!" But as soon as he spoke, his body began to tremble and tear apart, unable to handle the excessive power he had absorbed.

"Is it happening?" The Avengers watched with anticipation. They had been waiting for this moment. If the vampire leader wasn't valuable, they would have eliminated him when they arrived.

Meanwhile, in the distant dark dimension, Hecules had taken control, mobilizing the entire dimension. Sevis was now the scout for their efforts to invade Earth.

An underling approached Hecules with respect. "Lord Hecules, I've detected my power reaching a peak in the Earth dimension. Should I send my consciousness there?"

Previously, such a situation would have seen the dark entity send its consciousness to Earth without hesitation. But with the current power dynamics, they couldn't risk disrupting Hecules' plans.

"Oh? Such an opportunity shouldn't be missed. Sevis, you've been to Earth before and failed. This is your chance to redeem yourself," Hecules said with a smile.

"I hope you won't disappoint us again."

"Lord Hecules, I'm not confident in my success. Last time, I didn't even reach Earth proper before being destroyed in the mirror dimension. Perhaps you should send someone else," Sevis protested, dreading another encounter with Robert or Clark.

"Do you think you'll be that unlucky every time? Or do you not want to follow my orders? Are you defying the will of our lord?" Hecules' eyes bore into Sevis.

"Uh..." Sevis bowed his head, pressured into accepting the task. "Yes, my lord. I'll send my consciousness to that host."

With a hum, the dark entity transferred power to Sevis, whose consciousness quickly left the dark dimension. Nearly all the dark entities watched, curious about his progress.

"No!" On Earth, the vampire leader felt a terrifying consciousness taking over his body. He shouted, unwilling to let his hard-earned power be used by another.

"I see your memories. I will avenge you. Your power comes from me, and only I can use it to seek revenge," a voice echoed in his mind, quickly quelling his resistance. He accepted the promise of revenge against the Avengers.

With another hum, the vampire leader's consciousness dissipated. Martian Manhunter and Robert, hidden, both noticed the change in the vampire leader.

Martian Manhunter didn't recognize the new consciousness, but Robert, who had fought Sevis multiple times, identified him immediately.

"It's him again! Does the dark dimension have no one else? Or is he specifically tasked with Earth? This time, we can't let him off easily. He must pay a price!" Robert thought, recalling Mephisto's bribe to Earth, and formulated a plan. He communicated this to Kara and Martian Manhunter.

"This time, I've finally made it to Earth! No more mirror dimension!" Sevis, now in control of the vampire leader's body, felt the surroundings, elated.

Despite the Avengers watching him intently, Sevis didn't care. Without Robert, Clark, or the sorcerers, he feared nothing.

"So, you're the ones who pushed vampires and werewolves to this point. Impressive... Hmm? You have someone with our power among you?" Sevis' eyes focused on Morbius and Blade, recognizing their unique nature.
