Superman’s Saiyan little brother

Chapter 218: The Peacemaker

Clark's formidable psychic power probed the surroundings, causing every inch of space to tremble under this force. Clark, now serious, was terrifying. Even though he was not familiar with this level of extraordinary power, he still managed to find a clue by relying on his own formidable strength. The trembling space fully exposed the hidden dark aura, and a dark cloak appeared within Clark's psychic perception, brightening his eyes.

With a "whoosh" sound, Clark punched through the dark space that Robert thought was hard to destroy with physical energy, revealing Robert and Batman fighting inside.

"Hmm?" Both Robert and Batman sensed the change in the dark space almost at the same time. Robert forced Batman back with a punch while suppressing Batman with a series of Qi waves, mentally asking, "How did you get here?"

"You suddenly disappeared, shouldn't I come looking for you? How come there were no traces left this time?" Clark's dissatisfied voice echoed in Robert's mind.

"Uhh... I didn't know you couldn't see through this dark space!" Robert scratched his head, looking around the dark space. He didn't know the limits of Clark's X-ray vision, especially since this dark space clearly wasn't as peculiar as the barriers created by Ganthet and Lucifer.

"Next time something like this happens, leave a message. I thought you were taken away by some mysterious force again!" Clark shook his head, giving a serious reminder.

"Got it. You're not going to steal my opponent, are you? Although he's a strong fighter, there's still a big gap compared to you, who can tear open the dark space with your strength!" Robert continued to suppress Batman with his Prince's Battle Technique and asked through mental communication.

"Stop fighting, you two!" Clark's voice echoed around, his sunny and warm tone carrying a unique brightness, making the power of the entire dark space retreat slightly as if the darkness was unwilling to contend with such bright power.

"Superman? How did you get here?" After Robert stopped the Prince's Battle Technique, Batman looked at Clark with a serious gaze. He knew how difficult it was to break the dark space from the outside, especially judging from General Icarus's reaction, the power Superman just displayed was even more terrifying than Robert's. This made Batman's heart heavy. Before, he didn't know whether Superman or Robert was stronger. In his plan, if one of them lost control, it would be best for the other to stop the one who lost control.

But now, it seems Superman's strength might have surpassed Robert's. And with Robert already making it so difficult for Batman, who possessed dark power, to fight, adding Superman to the mix, if any conflict arose among the three, Batman really couldn't predict how the situation would develop...

"I didn't plan to come, but you two, you've gone too far!" Clark's expression remained unchanged as he looked at Batman and Robert and said, "Look at what you've done. What have you turned this place into? Even the destruction caused by demons isn't as bad as yours, right?"

"Umm..." Hearing Clark's words, Batman instinctively glanced at the outskirts of Gotham. He was familiar with this place, although he hadn't bought a house here. Most of Gotham's land belonged to his family, and importantly, Arkham Asylum, which housed the Joker and a host of Gotham's lunatics, was originally located here. Batman's concern for this area was naturally high...

During his fight with Robert, Batman hadn't had the time to think about these things. But now, as Clark's words settled, Batman saw the area was pockmarked and ravaged as if by war, possibly even more severely destroyed than war-torn areas. This was something Batman, who had intended to protect Gotham, couldn't accept!

"...Robert glanced at Clark, understanding his act of pretending not to know him. Otherwise, Robert wouldn't have used mental communication when Clark appeared. But now, Robert suddenly felt that, with Clark's words, the fight between him and Batman seemed to have come to an end.

Fortunately, Robert and Batman had enjoyed a satisfying battle in the dark space. Although they couldn't continue fighting, the exhilarating battle was somewhat acceptable.

"So, what were we here to do again? The problem you wanted to solve seems to have been resolved, right?" Thinking this, Robert turned to Batman and said, "That demon, comparable to a devil lord, was defeated by me and died by your hand. The power controlling the shadow troops is now in your hands. There seems to be no other crisis in Gotham, right?"

With a "hum" sound, Batman dispelled the dark space, took a deep breath, and said to Robert, "It's only partially resolved. There's still a key figure that hasn't been dealt with!"

"The master of that voice? What's his purpose? And how did you get the mask?" Robert, whose fighting spirit gradually subsided, reverted from the Giant Ape Power: Rage state back to Vegeta's appearance and asked Batman.

"He probably wanted to make me lose control! But what comes next has nothing to do with you. Thanks for your help. I'll compensate you..." Batman waved his hand, directly dismissing Robert.

Batman didn't want Robert to stay in Gotham any longer. He was concerned that once Superman, the third party's threat, left, Robert would be eager to resume their battle. From Robert's reaction to Superman's words, Batman deduced that Robert must know Superman and might have even fought him before. There must be a significant gap between them, otherwise, Robert, who loves to fight, wouldn't have reacted this way.

"Thank you for stopping our fight, Superman. Maybe we could have a chat if you're willing?" Unlike Robert, who had most of his fighting power explored, Batman was more curious about Superman because he knew almost nothing about Clark's abilities and limits. Thus, he invited Clark.

"No need. There are still too many demons ravaging Earth. I'll try to deal with them as much as possible!" Clark glanced at Batman indifferently. He didn't want much interaction with Batman, especially this Batman filled with dark power.

"I hope, after I leave, you won't continue fighting and destroying this planet. After all, you said you came to solve problems, not create them!"

Clark's words fell, and he soared into the sky, disappearing from Robert and Batman's view.

"Alright, since you don't want to fight anymore, let's have a rematch some other time!" Robert shrugged at Batman, leaving a word behind before vanishing.

"If you had this attitude earlier, we wouldn't have needed to fight the second half..." Batman watched Robert disappear, a thought flashing through his mind. He then touched the mask on his face, sighed while looking around, and disappeared from the spot.

Gotham was now back to peace. After failing to find the Joker, Batman gave up the plan to continue causing chaos in Gotham with the shadow warriors. He would have to find another way to locate the Joker.

But, based on Batman's understanding of the Joker, he would eventually return. Batman even thought that simply rebuilding Arkham Asylum might lure the Joker and other lunatics back to their most familiar place.

Why did Batman understand a group of lunatics so well? Because Batman himself is... cough, cough, because Batman has contingency plans for every enemy and knows them well!
