SUPERMAN: THE MAN OF STEEL

Chapter 26: chapter 26

The 1st of every month marks the beginning of the Spirit Realm, a globally unified event!

Due to time differences, Western countries enter in the evening, while in America, the time to enter the Spirit Realm is around 11:11 AM.

Early Morning

When Ben got up from the sunbathing device, he noticed his attributes had changed again.

Race: Human

Constitution: 300

Spirit: 98

Strength: 300

Agility: 300

Talent: Kryptonian Bloodline

Spirit Energy Points: 0

His Constitution, Strength, and Agility had all reached exactly 300, while his Spirit attribute was nearing 100!

Meanwhile, his classmates hadn't even broken 100 in total attributes, with the highest single attribute being only around twenty or thirty.

Clenching his fist and feeling the surging power within him, Ben was very satisfied.

Glancing at the time, he saw it was still early, so he went downstairs to his apartment building for breakfast, then came back and played mobile games for a while.

He procrastinated until 10:30 AM before finally heading to school.

At the School Playground

When Ben arrived at the playground, almost all the freshmen had gathered.

Fortunately, most of the sun in this world was blocked, with only a faint light shining on Blue Star, making it unlikely for students to suffer from heatstroke in this season.

Not only were the freshmen present, but so were many teachers.

Seeing Ben arriving so late, some teachers frowned.

However, Ben was thick-skinned and didn't care.

"William said before 11 o'clock, and it's only 10:59 now. I'm not late," he thought to himself.

After arriving, Ben scanned the crowd and realized that only freshmen were present.

"It seems the senior students have their own venue," he thought.

At 11 o'clock sharp, a vice-principal arrived.

"Students, you are about to enter the Spirit Realm soon. This is your first time facing its challenges. On behalf of the school, I wish you a good start…"

After a brief speech, he quickly left the stage.

Then, the students split into teams.

When Ben and Leo stood together, the entire audience turned their heads toward them.

Even though many people already knew they were teaming up, seeing it in person felt unreal.

One was the most talented freshman with the best attribute growth.

The other was the worst student…

The most outstanding and the worst!

These two shouldn't have even crossed paths, yet here they were, standing together.

Not just the students, even the teachers were stunned.

Teachers' Reactions

"What's going on? Is there no one else willing to team up with them?"

"That girl looks familiar… Oh! That's Leo, the specially recruited powerhouse seed. She has the Natural System·Burn-Burn Fruit ability!"

"Wait, why does she only have one teammate?"

"Quickly assign two more top-tier students to their team!"

"It's too late! They're about to be teleported!"

The teachers were in a heated discussion, while William and Teacher Arwan had complex expressions…

Final Countdown

At 11:10, a teacher raised a loudspeaker and announced:

"One minute left! Everyone, get ready!"

Upon hearing this, the freshmen held their teammates' hands.

As long as they were holding hands when entering the Spirit Realm, they would be recognized as teammates, forming an alliance contract and sharing benefits.

Seeing this, Ben reached out and held Leo's small hand.

Her hand was white and slender, soft like a piece of jade.

"Not bad," Ben thought.

He turned to glance at Leo, noticing that even though she was trying to maintain her composure, a faint blush slowly spread across her pretty face.

A smile appeared on Ben's face…

Teleported into the Spirit Realm

The next moment…

All the freshmen instantly disappeared.

They had been forcibly teleported into the Spirit Realm.

Back at the School

Once the students vanished, the vice-principal turned to the teachers.

"Teacher Arwan, Leo is in your class, right?"

Teacher Arwan nodded helplessly. "Yes."

"Then why does she only have one teammate?"

The vice-principal's question left Teacher Arwan with a headache.

He turned to William instead.

"What about the boy who teamed up with Leo? Is he in your class? What's his talent?"

William had a constipated expression.

After a long pause, he stammered:

"His name is Ben, and his talent is… Kryptonian Bloodline."

The vice-principal's voice rose by several decibels:

"Kryptonian Bloodline?!"

Inside the Spirit Realm

A flash of white light.

When Ben regained his vision, he found himself in a completely unfamiliar place.

The sky was dark and oppressive, with no sunlight.

He was in what seemed to be a wilderness, surrounded only by the other freshmen who had been teleported with him.

In the distance, a city wall stood.

"Is this the first level of the Spirit Realm?" he wondered.

It didn't look like there was much here.

As Ben observed his surroundings, Leo whispered beside him:

"How long… are you planning to hold my hand?"

"Huh?"

Only then did Ben realize he was still holding her hand!

"Haha, sorry," he said. "It felt too nice, I didn't even notice."

As he let go, Leo's face turned slightly red.

She probably hadn't expected him to say that out loud…

The Freshmen's First Impressions

All around them, students began to talk.

"Is this really the first level? It looks like a different world!"

"This place feels… eerie."

"The teacher said each level of the Spirit Realm is an independent world."

"It's so gloomy here… I wonder what challenges we'll face?"

"Wait… why are there so many foreign students?"

Among the freshmen, there were blond-haired, blue-eyed foreigners, as well as others from different backgrounds.

Ben already knew why.

William had explained that the teleportation process of the Spirit Realm was highly random.

The only fixed thing was that teammates stayed together.

Glancing around, Ben silently counted about thirty freshmen in total.

Out of all of them, the only one he knew was Leo…
