Supergirl Defender Of Love

Chapter 56: The Machine Gun Slap

The sound of fists slamming into flesh echoed through the alley as the Brotherhood leader unleashed every ounce of his rage on the two mutants who had dared to cross him. His blue energy sparked violently with each punch, illuminating the dark space in flashes of angry light. The beast-like mutant let out a guttural snarl as the leader's fist cracked into his ribs, a sickening crunch reverberating through the narrow alley as his chest caved under the force. He hit the pavement hard, wheezing and struggling to rise, only to be met with another brutal kick that sent him sprawling into a pile of trash bags with a muffled groan.

The metal-skinned mutant, dazed but trying to get back on his feet, staggered forward—until the leader stomped down on his head with a sharp crack that echoed off the walls. The armored man slumped over, unconscious, a thin line of blood running from his temple to the sidewalk.

Panting heavily, the leader straightened, rolling his shoulder as though the fight had been nothing more than an irritating chore. Blue sparks still snapped at his fingertips, but his expression softened when his eyes met Kara's. His posture relaxed, and for a moment, he almost looked proud of himself.

"You're safe now," he said, wiping blood from his mouth with the back of his hand.

Kara stepped forward, her delicate white dress fluttering gently as if she were some fragile flower caught in the wind. Her hands rose to her chest, her expression warm and grateful, though her eyes gleamed with something much sharper just beneath the surface.

"Oh… you saved us," she whispered, her voice soft and trembling just enough to sound sincere.

The leader nodded, his chest rising and falling as he tried to catch his breath. "Don't worry. You're alright now."

Kara tilted her head slightly, stepping closer. "Thank you," she breathed. "You're so strong. So brave."

For a split second, his guard lowered completely, a faint look of satisfaction crossing his face.

That was all she needed.

Without warning, Kara's hand shot up, a blur of motion faster than his eye could follow.

CRACK.

The sound of the slap echoed like a gunshot through the alley. The leader's eyes went wide in shock, his head snapping violently to the side. All 35 of his teeth exploded from his mouth in a rapid-fire barrage, clattering against the pavement like a hail of bullets—toot-toot-toot-toot-toot—the sound ricocheting through the dark like machine-gun fire.

His body jerked violently, spinning through the air in a wild, two full 365-degree spirals, before crashing face-first onto the ground with a gut-wrenching crack as his neck twisted at an impossible angle.

Silence fell over the alley.

Gwen clapped her hands together softly, a satisfied glint in her eyes. "And there's the finishing touch."

Kara shook out her hand, flexing her fingers as she looked down at her handiwork. "That was so satisfying," she said, her lips parting slightly as she took in the broken, limp form of the mutant leader.

Rogue stepped up beside her, eyeing what was left of him with an unreadable expression. Without a word, she placed her hand on his back. There was a sharp hiss of power as his body was sucked away, disintegrating into nothing but dust and scattered sparks, vanishing completely without a trace.

"And that's how you be a Green Tea Bitch," Rogue said casually, brushing her hands off like she'd just finished a chore, "and clean up the evidence."

Kara laughed, tossing her hair over her shoulder as she turned to Rogue and Gwen. "That was so much fun. I mean—wow. I didn't think it would be that easy to get him to turn on his own guys. And that slap!" She held up her hand, still admiring it like it was some newfound weapon of perfection.

Gwen leaned against the alley wall, watching Kara with a look that was a mix of amusement and something darker, something approving. "Told you. Manipulating people is way more fun when they don't see it coming."

"Especially when they think they're rescuing you," Rogue added, her tone light but sharp underneath.

Kara exhaled a soft laugh, her eyes still glowing faintly with exhilaration. "And the way he just spun in the air like that… That was beautiful. I didn't even know someone could spin that many times from a slap."

Gwen pushed herself off the wall and walked casually over to the two broken bodies still left on the ground. "Shame to leave such a mess," she murmured as Rogue stepped up behind her.

"Yeah," Rogue agreed. She reached out, laying a hand on the beast-like mutant first. His body shuddered under her touch before dissolving into nothingness, absorbed completely. Then she turned to the metal-skinned one, doing the same. Within seconds, both were gone, leaving only an empty alley where three dangerous men had stood minutes before.

Kara watched with wide, fascinated eyes as Rogue stepped back, the street now eerily clean and silent.

"And that's how you clean up a crime scene without leaving a trace," Rogue said simply, glancing at Kara as if teaching a final lesson.

"And leave behind a warm, fuzzy memory of your first Green Tea experience," Gwen added, her voice light but edged with humor.

Kara tilted her head, her expression softening into something thoughtful. "A warm, fuzzy memory of betrayal, manipulation, and a good slap." She let out a short, pleased laugh. "I like it."

The three of them stood in the alley for a moment longer, the quiet night around them carrying on as if nothing had happened. Somewhere in the distance, a car honked, and the faint murmur of the city filtered in—but here, in this space, they had orchestrated something perfect.

"Well," Kara finally said, adjusting the hem of her white dress, "I think I'm ready for the next lesson."

Gwen raised an eyebrow. "Feeling confident now, huh?"

Kara smiled as she began walking toward the alley's exit, her heels clicking softly against the pavement. "Confident enough to want to try that again."

Rogue fell into step beside her, glancing sideways. "Next time we'll up the challenge."

Kara looked ahead, her eyes gleaming with anticipation. "Good. Because I'm starting to think Green Tea Villainy might just be my new favorite thing."

Behind her, Gwen exchanged a glance with Rogue, her lips twitching ever so slightly, though her face stayed composed.

As they emerged from the alley into the dim glow of the city lights, the night seemed a little brighter, a little sharper—as though the city itself recognized that a new player had just joined the game.

And Kara couldn't wait to play.
