Chapter 130: Back to Earth

Dave and the others returned to Asgard, having concluded their exploration.

"We're back," Thor declared as he turned to Dave with a mischievous grin. "Shall we have another go?"

Dave, however, shook his head and said, "We should return to Earth. We've been gone for too long."

Thor sighed but nodded. "Okay, but at least stay for a day. You should let Natasha and Diana explore; they still have their weapons to pick after all," he suggested.

Dave nodded in agreement, while Natasha and Diana's eyes gleamed with excitement at the mention of Asgardian weapons. They were eager to see what treasures they could find there.

"Okay then, you guys go and get it while I play with Thor," Dave said with a grin. "Until then, I'd like to test my new sword."

Thor grinned in return. "That's the spirit!" he said, leading the way.

The two Asgardian pilots then escorted Natasha and Diana to the Asgardian armory, eager to show them the legendary weapons housed within. Meanwhile, Dave and Thor made their way to an open area where they could test out their new weapons.

Natasha and Diana followed the guards into the armory, where a gust of wind seemed to close the door behind them. "Lord Odin has given permission for you two to choose any weapon from here," one of the guards said, gesturing to the vast collection of weaponry.

"One more thing," the guard added. "You should let the weapons choose you. You don't choose them."

Natasha and Diana exchanged confused glances before nodding in understanding. They stepped deeper into the armory, their eyes scanning the array of weapons.

"What does he mean by letting the weapons choose us?" Natasha asked, her curiosity piqued.

Diana, observing the mystical surroundings, responded, "It's like when the Kamar-Taj trained me in the mystical arts. Some weapons, like some magic, choose their wielder."

Natasha's eyes brightened as she sensed something calling to her. Diana followed her gaze as Natasha reached for a weapon. She found a stunning sword with a red gem at the hilt and a silver blade. "Mystic Heart Sword," Natasha read aloud as the name appeared in her mind, learning that it was a blade that amplified one's magical abilities.

"Well, it works with me," Natasha mused, testing its weight and swinging it lightly. The sword felt perfect in her hands.

Meanwhile, Diana wandered, searching for a weapon that resonated with her. She eventually came across a sword unlike any other. It had multiple blades, each interlocking with the other like a fan. "What... is this?" she murmured, examining the intricate design.

"A Warwind Sword," Diana read aloud from a plaque beside it. "A powerful weapon meant to inflict massive destruction on anyone it strikes."

As she carefully examined it, she noticed it was not just a weapon of destruction. "It has healing properties as well," Diana said, noting the red glow running along the edges of the blade. "It can heal user wounds while delivering devastating cuts."

Natasha smiled as she saw Diana's weapon of choice. "I think we've both found what we need."

Diana nodded in agreement, gripping her Warwind Sword. "It came to me, so I'm taking it."

Both of them stepped away from their chosen weapons, satisfied with their new tools. The guards, noticing their choices, nodded approvingly, and the doors opened for them to leave the armory.

"These feel... right," Natasha remarked, giving her Mystic Heart Sword a testing swing. The blade hummed with latent magical energy, and she could feel its connection to her own inner power. She could tell it would only grow stronger as she wielded it.

Diana, gripping her Warwind Sword, nodded. "It's almost as if it's become part of me already. I've never felt a weapon like this before."

As they walked back toward the main courtyard, they noticed Dave and Thor waiting for them. Thor grinned as he saw their new weapons, and Dave gave them a nod of approval.

"Looks like you two found something special," Thor said, stepping forward. "Are you ready to test them out?"

"Ready as we'll ever be," Natasha replied with a smirk. Diana simply nodded, her Warwind Sword resting at her side, radiating a quiet power.

"Let's head to the training grounds," Dave suggested, motioning for everyone to follow. "It's time to see what these new weapons can do."

The group made their way through the halls of Asgard, and soon, they arrived at the training grounds. A large, open space filled with obstacles and dummies made of various materials stood before them. The perfect place to test out their skills.

"Remember," Thor warned, "these weapons are more than just tools. They will amplify your abilities. Use them wisely."

Diana and Natasha took their positions, both feeling the weight of their new weapons. They each raised their swords, the glow of magic surrounding them.

Natasha was the first to strike, her Mystic Heart Sword cutting through the air with a precision she had never known before. The sword seemed to hum with power, cutting through a training dummy with ease. The red gem at the hilt glowed brighter as if feeding off her energy.

Diana followed, swinging her Warwind Sword in a wide arc. The multiple blades of the weapon flashed with power, and a gust of wind followed her strike, tearing through the dummy and leaving behind a trail of destruction. The weapon's ability to destroy and heal was evident as she felt a sense of calm flow through her even as the damage to the target was severe.

"Impressive," Dave said, watching with interest. He could see how well the weapons suited both women. "You're both getting stronger."

Thor nodded in agreement, looking at the results of the strikes. "You two might have finally found your partners."

With a final swing, Diana and Natasha stopped, both weapons glowing with a soft, magical light. They exchanged a glance, both silently agreeing that they had found their place in Asgard and among the new allies they had gained.

"Alright," Dave said, turning back to Thor. "We've tested the weapons. Now, it's time for us to return to Earth. We've been gone long enough."
