Chapter 123: Against Thor III

As the clash reached its peak, the arena bore the marks of their titanic struggle—craters in the ground, shattered stone pillars, and an atmosphere charged with energy. Dave and Thor stood panting, their bodies battered but their spirits undeterred.

Thor glanced at Mjolnir in his hand and noticed a deep crack running across its surface. For the first time in centuries, his legendary weapon—the pride of Asgard—showed signs of wear. His eyes widened momentarily, but then a hearty laugh escaped his lips.

"You, Dave Garcia, are no ordinary mortal," Thor said, his voice booming. "To damage Mjolnir… it seems the legends of Midgard have yet to catch up to your might."

Dave smirked, wiping blood from the corner of his mouth. "Guess we're even now. But I'm not done yet."

Thor tightened his grip on Mjolnir, despite its fractured state. Lightning surged around him once more, his determination unwavering. "Neither am I!"

With that, Thor leaped into the air, bringing Mjolnir down with a ferocious strike. Dave, anticipating the attack, focused his haki into his fists, his entire body glowing with a fierce aura. As Mjolnir descended, Dave met it with a haki-infused punch, creating a massive shockwave that shook the entire arena.

The crack in Mjolnir widened further, and with a deafening sound, the hammer shattered into pieces, its fragments scattering across the battlefield. Thor was thrown back by the force, landing heavily on the ground, his hand trembling as he stared at the remains of his weapon.

The crowd gasped, stunned into silence. Even the Asgardian warriors who had been cheering were struck speechless by the sight of Mjolnir's destruction.

Dave stood tall, breathing heavily but still composed. His voice cut through the silence. "It's over, Thor. You fought well—but I have faced better. ANd Even gods can fell not to mention their Weapons."

Thor slowly rose to his feet, his hand still holding the broken handle of Mjolnir. Despite his loss, he grinned. "You're right, Dave Garcia. Even gods can fall. And today, you've proven yourself worthy of standing among them."

He extended his hand toward Dave, a gesture of respect. Dave hesitated for a moment before stepping forward and shaking it firmly. The crowd erupted into cheers, their awe turning into admiration for both warriors.

Frigga, watching from the royal balcony, smiled softly. "The strength of Midgard continues to surprise us," she said to Odin, who nodded solemnly.

Thor turned to the scattered pieces of Mjolnir, his expression bittersweet. "It seems I'll need to forge a new weapon," he said, his voice tinged with pride. "But this loss is not one I regret. You've shown me the strength of mortals, Dave. And for that, I am grateful."

Dave nodded, his usual calm demeanor returning. "You're strong, Thor. Stronger than most I've met. After you get another weapon, let's have another fight."

Thor laughed heartily, clapping Dave on the back. "You've got a deal, Midgardian."

As the arena began to clear, the Asgardians chanted Dave's name alongside Thor's, their voices echoing across the realm. It was a battle that would be remembered for ages, a clash of two warriors from different worlds, united by their love for the fight.

Back in his room, Thor looked at the shattered remains of Mjolnir and tears welled up in his eyes.

"Mjolnir…" he whispered, his voice heavy with sorrow.

Outside, Natasha and Diana observed the situation. Natasha raised an eyebrow and asked, "He seemed fine outside. Why is he crying now?"

Frigga, Thor's mother, gently patted his back and explained, "Outside, he has to maintain his image as a king. But here, he can grieve as a warrior who's lost a part of himself."

"It's okay," Frigga said softly to Thor. "Just take it to Nidavellir and have it reforged. It will be good as new."

Thor nodded, wiping his tears. "You're right, Mother." Standing up, he carefully collected the fragments of Mjolnir. He turned to Dave and said, "Dave, would you like to come with me? Perhaps you'll find a weapon worthy of you as well."

Dave considered the offer for a moment and nodded. "I'll come. I've been thinking about getting a weapon forged from Uru metal. Though I've broken weapons before, I could use something powerful to complement my abilities. A weapon forged in Nidavellir would be ideal."

'Not to mention,' Dave thought as he accessed his system inventory, 'I've been holding onto these.'

Within his inventory, Dave had six pieces of Eternium and Vibranium, valuable materials he had acquired through various gacha draws. He had often drawn consumables or common items, but now, with the right opportunity, these rare metals could finally be put to use.

Not to mention Vibranium which can absorb as well as Amplify Vibrations, the Eternium is from DC world and is like Uru metal, though unlike Uru metal which amplify magic, this metal can store and amplify souls, like how it is used to forge Crown of Sabbac holding the souls of Five Ancient Devils, and whoever wear that crown were granted the power of those Five Devils.

"Let's go now then," Thor said as he packed the fragments of Mjolnir. Dave gave a quick nod, ready to depart.

"What's Nidavellir?" Natasha asked curiously.

"It's a place where all gods have their weapons forged," Dave replied.

Frigga elaborated, "Even Odin's spear, Loki's scepter, and Thor's hammer, Mjolnir, were all forged there by the dwarves."

Natasha nodded in understanding. "Can I come along?" she asked eagerly.

Diana stepped forward as well. "Let me come too," she said firmly.

Dave shrugged and looked at Thor, waiting for his decision.

Thor smiled and said, "Your friends are welcome to join us."

With that, the group prepared for their journey to Nidavellir, the fabled realm of the dwarves, where legendary weapons were born.

The group boarded an Asgardian ship, its intricate golden and silver designs shimmering under the light of the Bifrost. As they entered the spacious interior, Diana's excitement was palpable.

"Woah!! This time we'll be traveling through space!" Diana exclaimed, her eyes wide with wonder as she darted around, examining every detail of the ship.

Thor chuckled, his deep voice resonating through the room. "She has the heart of both a warrior and a lively child," he remarked, watching her enthusiasm with amusement.
