At that moment, Bright instantly sneered.

He realized exactly what was going on.

Those people must have been from the loan company, coming to collect their debts.

Since the previous owner had fled, they were planning to scam the new owner of the restaurant.

Maybe if the new owner were anyone else, they might have succeeded.

Unfortunately, however, the one they encountered was Bright.

There was no way Bright would succumb to them.

Bright clenched his fist. "Everyone, hand over your phones to me, scurry off to the kitchen and squat in the corner!"

Bright didn't plan on letting this slide easily.

Bright's fist hit the wall.

Immediately, there was a crack in the tiles. They spread out in a web like pattern.

Then, their bodies shivered as they gulped.

At that moment, the man in the lead obediently handed over his phone and scurried off to the back kitchen.

After all, he had some sense.

Deep down, he understood what kind of person Bright was. He was not someone they could afford to offend.

After confiscating the phones and locking everyone in the kitchen, only then did Bright take out his phone.

He called Louis, the general manager of Grand Oasis Hotel.

"I will give you twenty minutes, bring a few head chefs from the hotel and some of the security staff, come to Devie's Restaurant immediately." He stated.

Bright had given then twenty minutes, but Louis and the others arrived there in ten minutes.

Right after Bright said that, Louis quickly nodded and replied, "Yes, Mr. John!"

Then, he started giving instructions to everyone so they could prepare.

After they waited for a few minutes in the hall, Louis came over with a bottle of wine in his hand.

Even though Bright hadn't ordered him to do so, he took the initiative as the general manager of the hotel.

However, when Louis showed up, Fred was taken aback.

He exclaimed, "Huh? Aren't you Mr. Louis, the general manager of Grand Oasis Hotel? What are you doing here? From the looks of it, you became a waiter!"

Once he said that, the other rich kids spoke up as well.

"My goodness! Is it really you, Mr. Louis? I was wondering why you looked so familiar!"

"Mr. Louis, why are you here instead of Grand Oasis Hotel?"

Following the discussion, Louis replied, "Well, actually, I came because Mr. John asked me to."

"Mr. John?"

Upon hearing that, everyone was taken aback.

Then, they looked somewhat bewildered as they turned their gazes toward Bright.

With their mouths wide open, they asked, "Could the Mr. John you are talking about be…"

All of the rich kids stared at Bright with looks of astonishment on their faces.

Louis smiled and nodded, confirming their suspicions. "Yes, exactly, I'm talking about Mr. Bright John."

The moment that statement was made, everyone gasped in surprise, exchanging amazed glances.

"Bright, does Grand Oasis Hotel belong to you?"

Bright chuckled and replied, "Well, it's not quite accurate to put it that way, it's just that i hold a portion of the shares in Grand Oasis Hotel. As of now, I am barely the second largest shareholder."

The moment he said that, the others mouths twitched as they replied, "What's the difference between that and owning the hotel?"

"Damn! Cartmel Sports Center belongs to you, and so does Grand Oasis Hotel?"

"Wait! Bright, since you called the people from Grand Oasis Hotel over to Devie's Restaurant, does that mean something happened to Devie's Restaurant?"

In response, Bright did not hide anything and simply told them what happened.

After the story unfolded, everyone was taken aback.

"What?! So that's what happened?"

"So you are saying that the people from the loan company are now after you, Bright? Isn't that a bit too much?!"

"Yeah! The previous owner was the one who borrowed the money, but now that he's gone, the loan company is after you instead! Aren't they crossing the line?"

"I can't stand it anymore! Just wait until I get home tonight, I will have my dad investigate this loan company!"

Listening to their heated rants, Bright only chuckled.

He then responded, "It's fine, this isn't a big deal."

He waved his hand dismissively and continued, "I have my own plans in mind on how to deal with it, it's just a mere loan company, after all. If they stop bothering me after this, then it's all good but if they dare to mess with me again… well, I have my ways to deal with them."

As he spoke, there was a chilling look on Bright's face.

As his words sunk in, everyone in the room shuddered involuntarily.

That was because Bright's words were brimming with murderous intent.

That was especially true for Fred, who knew about Bright's background.

Feeling a sense of dread deep down, they silently mourned for the loan company.

They could already foresee its sorrowful fate.

"Sigh, why did they have to offend Bright of all people…"
