Chapter 140:Being Commissioned _1

"Commission him?" Edwin repeated.

"Yes, commission him! Contact him and commission four paintings for me." Hinsley replied.

After hearing that, Edwin hesitated a bit, but still nodded in agreement.

Then, he prepared to give Niamh a call.

Meanwhile, at Bahamas View Villa, Niamh glanced at Bright with a trace of resentment while sipping her tea.

"You tricked me earlier, saying you don't pay attention to any art exhibitions. You made me worry for no reason." She grumbled.

At that, Bright only nodded and replied, "I didn't lie to you. I genuinely don't keep up with these exhibitions."

In response, Niamh rolled her eyes and retorted, "As if! If you don't keep up with them, how could you be so good at traditional painting? That horse painting you did was almost at Master Wilson's level, wasn't it?"

Bright was left momentarily speechless for a while.

Then, he began to speak. "Don't compare me to him!"

Bright pursed his lips and pointed out, "Besides, whether or not i go to art exhibitions has no correlation with my skills in traditional painting, right?"

Niamh wasn't exactly sure what to respond.

"That is true…" she muttered.

Niamh let out a long sigh.

"Sigh… But you really offended the Cartmel Art Association this time, Bright, especially Master Wilson.

He is the chairman of the Art association! If you offend him, you might face some minor troubles in the future…"

Hearing that, Bright flashed a smile and shook his head.

"So what? Besides, if that old man has any common sense, it won't take long before he reaches out to me personally!" He remarked.

Hearing Bright's words, Niamh was in utter disbelief.

However, before she could say anything, the phone placed beside her suddenly rang.

After taking a look at the caller ID, Niamh's expression was filled with surprise.

The person calling was none other than Edwin.

At that moment, Niamh seemed a bit baffled.

What? Was Bright's prediction actually right? Edwin had personally called her!

Right then, Niamh's expression seemed a bit complicated.

Bright glanced at her.

The corners of his mouth raised slightly, revealing a faint smile as he said, "Answer it."

"Okay." Niamh nodded.

Then, she picked up the call.

The line connected.

"Hello."

The moment Niamh spoke, she heard Edwin's respectful voice echoing from the other end of the line.

"Niamh, is supreme master who was with you earlier still with you now?" He asked.

Upon hearing Edwin's tone, Niamh was utterly baffled.

After all, Edwin was no ordinary person. He was the chairman of the Cartmel Art Association.

Even masters in the Cartmel Art Institute had to show him respect when they met him.

Right then, however, Edwin was being so respectful.

On top of that, he even addressed Bright as supreme master.

That was…

Immediately, Niamh was shocked.

There was disbelief in her eyes. He had called Bright supreme master?

The way Niamh saw it, the title 'master' had nothing to do with Bright.

However, that was exactly what Edwin had just called him.

Despite being taken aback, Niamh only nodded and replied, "Bright is beside me, Master Wilson."

After saying that, she vividly heard Edwin letting out a sigh of relief.

However, the next moment, what she heard was a burst of hearty laughter.

And then, he said, "Haha! Well, since Mr. John is there, could you tell him that I would like to commission him, Niamh?"

With that, Niamh was absolutely flabbergasted.

What…

What had she just heard?

Edwin…

Edwin wanted to commission Bright?

Uh…

Was he really not joking?

Niamh did think that the painting Bright made earlier was incredible, but even so, was it really to the point that a big shot in the Cartmel Art Industry like Edwin would want to commission him?

Not to mention, the word commission' implied that Edwin's skill level was inferior to Bright's.

At that moment, Niamh wondered if she was going crazy.

Was Bright really better than Edwin at traditional painting? How was that possible?

Swallowing nervously, she asked, "A-Are you joking, Master Wilson?"

She felt a bit stunned as she questioned him in a trembling voice.

"Why would I joke about this? Don't worry about it, Niamh. Just help me ask Mr. John." Edwin said without hesitation.

Even as a supreme master, Edwin had no shame in commissioning Bright.

"Oh, okay." With that, Niamh pulled the phone away from her ear.

Covering the receiver, she looked at Bright.

"Bright, it's Master Wilson, he said he wants to… commission a painting from you."

Niam hesitated a bit before settling on the term 'commission'.

At that, Bright merely smiled.

Then, taking a sip of his tea, he squinted and asked, "A commission?"

With a grin playing at the corner of his lips, Bright casually replied, "Tell him that he can, but it's ten million for one painting."

At that, Niamh was completely taken aback.

"Ten million?! B-Bright, don't you think that your price is a bit too high? After all, Master Wilson was once my mentor. He's basically my teacher, isn't that… a bit too high of a price?"

"It's too high?" Bright questioned.

Bright tilted his head and said, "I think it's fine! Tell him the price, if he still wants to commission me, then he can."

"Um…" Niamh was speechless toward Bright's attitude.

She could only nod and say, "Okay, I will tell Master Wilson about the price."

Then, she picked up the phone again, "Master Wilson, I just asked Bright. He said he will take the commission, but the price will be… ten million for one painting."

After dropping that piece of information, Edwin was completely dumbstruck.

Ten million for one?

That price…

Even if he knew that Bright had the skills of a supreme master, it wasn't like Bright was famous.

The price was just outrageously high!

In fact, it was even more expensive than paintings by a few modern supreme masters of traditional painting.

Eventually, Edwin took a deep breath and asked, "Niamh, are you sure you are not joking with me?"

"No, that really is the price." Niamh replied with a shake of her head.
