Chapter 421: The Season of Harvest
There was the first disagreement in the Qiao Family over whether to host a party for the two children's one-month celebration.
In general, both mothers believed that such an occasion must be celebrated. However, Su Lixing and Qiao Ze felt it was completely unnecessary and thought celebrating at home was enough, with no need for a big party.
As for Su Mucheng, she had a neutral stance, agreeing with both sides. She only wanted to celebrate her liberation from the constraints of the two mothers and the end of her postpartum confinement.
For a young and energetic girl, the various traditions concerning postpartum confinement were indeed too arduous. Her own mother was easier to deal with, but Su Mucheng didn't want to lose face in front of Lu Xiuxiu because of this, so she really just endured it.
Luckily, Lu Xiuxiu was only concerned about Su's health after confinement, not overly meddling with the daughter-in-law. So, the relationship wasn't too strained. Naturally, asking Su to pick a side was out of the question.
Thus, regarding the one-month celebration, although it was a 2:2 opinion split, they eventually listened to the two men.
Ultimately, it's the economic foundation that determines the superstructure.
Since neither man wanted to host a party, few people would join in the fun, and the two mothers had to give up.
Though a party for the one-month celebration could be skipped, names still had to be given.
On the children's birth certificates, Qiao Ze casually wrote the names Qiao Da and Qiao Er. He had checked that formal registration would allow changes, and usually, everyone just called them brother and sister, as their formal names hadn't been decided.
With both children about to turn one month old, it couldn't be postponed any longer.
Especially with Mother Su and Lu Xiuxiu lamenting, "It's one thing not to have a party, but how can they still not have names? What kind of situation is this?" It was enough to make the two surrender.
The delay in naming wasn't due to negligence but because everyone valued it, making it hard to reach a consensus.
Though Qiao Ze excelled in academia, his naming skills were clearly not on par with his academic abilities. For instance, he suggested naming the brother Qiao Yi and the sister Qiao Yi, simply wishing for an easier and happier life for them.
Su Mucheng liked these names, but Su Lixing found them too casual and vehemently disagreed. He then chose the names Qiao Zhenqian for the brother and Qiao Rushi for the sister, which were unanimously opposed.
Thus, the matter was put off.
In truth, Su Mucheng found it hard to understand Su's insistence on naming.
After all, it's an undeniable fact that Su Lixing is somewhat inept at naming, having caused Mucheng some trouble with her own name back then.
By comparison, she felt Qiao Ze's names were more grounded, easier to write, and clearly meaningful. You could even write their names faster in exams, giving them an unbeatable edge.
Fortunately, there was Dou Dou.
In the end, with artificial intelligence involved, opinions from all four were analyzed, resulting in two names that everyone found acceptable: Qiao Zhenxuan and Qiao Peng.
Not too bad.
After deciding on the names for the Qiao Family's two children, Qiao Ze's major paper on Q Theory was officially published in "New Discoveries in Mathematics and Physics": "Proposal and Exploration of Q Theory: Mathematical Entanglement and Particle Mass Generation in Three-Dimensional Space-Time."
With Edward Witten and Peter Schultz involved in the research, Q Theory had already made some waves in academia, but due to Qiao Ze's previous lack of preparation for publishing papers, little was known to the outside world.
Previously, it was merely based on sporadic thoughts Qiao Ze had proposed about a grand unification.
This paper systematically reviewed all recent research achievements.
From mathematical entanglement to Q Theory, and a series of explanations and proofs targeting the microcosm with this new mathematical theory. Unsurprisingly, the publication caused quite a stir in the mathematical world.
To be honest, compared to his previous efficiency, Qiao Ze hadn't published much for a long time.
Though in the realms of mathematics and physics, this is normal. Hardly anyone can publish multiple top-tier papers as the first or sole author yearly. Not to mention, despite the lack of publications, Qiao Ze's visibility remained high.
With Nobel Prizes, national awards, and hosting various applied technology projects, his lack of papers was understandable.
The sudden release of such a major paper indeed surprised many and kindled greater anticipation for Xi Lin Mathematical Research Institute's research.
For many mathematicians who read this paper, it offered insight into Qiao Ze's understanding of the mathematical landscape.
With Qiao Algebraic Geometry as foundational content, he listed the concept of the super entity on a series of super helix numbers, and the entanglement of spiral structures, eventually summing up to Q Theory.
For those who could comprehend the description of Q Theory, they could also discern Qiao Ze's ambition from this paper, to truly solve the grand unification problem and explain the micro and macro realms within a single theoretical framework.
Of course, this paper couldn't completely solve that issue, especially about the I(ϕ) compatibility, it stirred considerable debate in the mathematics and even the physics community.
