Yang Xiao felt gloomy as he rode the Flame Horse back to the Financial Building at full speed.

When he returned to the 68th floor, Yang Xiao stepped out of the elevator and saw the No. 25 woman at the service bar in the corridor.

Feeling down, he merely glanced at her and quickly passed by, heading back to his room, only to find it seemed to have been tidied up, with a new set of pajamas laid out on the bed and the quilt neatly folded.

Remembering Gong Yu's death made Yang Xiao's heart heavy; he momentarily lost interest in looking for Zhou Jian. After all, his feelings for Gong Yu ran deeper. He had spent a million to bring the Giant Eagle out of the desert intending to give it to Gong Yu.

Lying in bed and staring at the ceiling, Yang Xiao decided to have a good sleep and temporarily forget about Gong Yu.

After the No. 25 woman finished speaking, she turned and left, gently closing the room door behind her.

The Financial Building was the biggest point in Magic City, with both Magic City University and Dongli College having their Genetic Store points.

Yang Xiao decided to check out several Genetic Store points in the city center. These points were open to the public, whereas the Genetic Store points at Ice River Academy and Dongli College were inside the schools, more enclosed, and harder for outsiders to enter.

Yang Xiao mounted the Flame Horse, taking the Giant Eagle with him, and first visited the nearest Genetic Store point, about 5 kilometers away.

Near the Genetic Store point, two multi-story buildings were relatively well-preserved. Nearby the Genetic Store, Yang Xiao unexpectedly found a street market.

There were quite a few people here; everyone laid out a piece of cloth or a wooden board on the snow, displaying weapons, equipment, jewelry, Skill Scrolls, and other items they wished to sell, standing by waiting for someone to come and trade.

You could trade items or exchange with Crystal Coins.

Most of the items were salvaged from Ice Fish explosions but nothing special caught Yang Xiao's eye.

After walking down the street market, Yang Xiao suddenly realized this was a market economy. He decided to set up something similar back in Nanmu City and Shanyun City, allowing free exchanging as an auxiliary to the Genetic Store.

These free markets wouldn't greatly impact the Genetic Stores because purchasing Genetic Potions would still require a visit to the Genetic Store; moreover, many weapons, equipment, and jewelry items could only be found at Genetic Stores.

Leaving this Genetic Store point, Yang Xiao continued on to the next.

He couldn't help but praise the Flame Horse; it saved a great deal of time. Ordinary people could maybe walk 10 kilometers in an afternoon, but with the Flame Horse, Yang Xiao could visit several Genetic Store points.

The second Genetic Store point was much like the previous one, with a street market nearby. Many people browsed the stalls before entering the Genetic Store for purchases; after all, items were cheaper outside, and whatever wasn't available outside was sure to be in the Genetic Store.
