Super Gene Ⅱ: Evolution

Chapter 736: You Just Keep Moving Forward, Leave the Rest to Me

Lin Shen hadn't been able to find a method for Nirvana, but his attitude had always been fairly good, and he passed each day very leisurely.

An incoming message from Ouyang Yudu, however, made Lin Shen's good mood instantly vanish without a trace.

After reading the message, Lin Shen dialed Ouyang Yudu's number, "Ouyang, are you sure about your news?"

"Accurate," Ouyang Yudu replied. "Since the appearance of the Ultra-Burn Tribe on Realm King Planet, our family has been keeping an eye on them. At that time, however, our capabilities and resources were limited, so our understanding was based solely on other's information. Since I took over the Special Service Department of the Celestial Master Institute, I have utilized its resources and privileges to conduct several studies on the Ultra-Burn Tribe and have even implanted some spies within them..."

Here, Ouyang Yudu's expression darkened slightly, "The spies just sent back news that the Ultra-Burn Tribe has discovered the teleporter entering our human home planet, and there are no restrictions; any level of life form can use that teleportation array to access our home planet."

"How strong is the Ultra-Burn Tribe overall?" Lin Shen asked pensively.

"On the surface, the native Ultra-Burn Tribe combined with those affiliated with other great families sum up to more than two thousand, but I estimate there are at least three thousand or more Nirvana Beings in hiding, and the number of Ascenders is countless," Ouyang Yudu considered before replying.

"Five thousand Nirvana Beings, that could indeed be troublesome," Lin Shen frowned.

"That's just a conservative estimate. However, there aren't many native Nirvana Beings on the Ultra-Burning Star since their local resources are limited. Thus, similar to most human families, once they leave their home planet, they serve other great families in exchange for resources; the vast majority of their Nirvana Beings are actually on alien planets, and the natives could very likely be just a few hundred."

Lin Shen understood Ouyang Yudu's point, his eyes lighting up as he asked, "Does the Ultra-Burn Tribe have any Immortals?"

"There were some long ago, but they died in the 'death calamity' and there haven't been any new Immortals for a long time," Ouyang Yudu said, squinting.

"So, the best solution to our problem is to go to the Ultra-Burn Tribe and take back that teleporter," Lin Shen smiled.

"Perhaps we can even collect some interest," Ouyang Yudu also smiled.

"We need a plan," Lin Shen said.

"Leave it to me," Ouyang Yudu paused and added, "You need to inform Wei on your end. Since the Ultra-Burn Tribe knows our human particulars, they probably won't send too many Nirvana Beings over; however, only the Wei Family on the home planet has the capability to stop them. Unfortunately, our Nirvana Beings can't enter the home planet, so the Wei Family will have to continue bearing it."

"We can eventually go back," Lin Shen's eyes shone.

The discovery of the teleporter that could freely enter and exit the home planet was both a crisis and an opportunity.

With this teleporter, human Nirvana Beings could freely move to and from the home planet without being confined by it.

Lin Shen had always been troubled by how to get Wei Wufu out, as that guy was stubborn like a mule and basically unmoved by persuasion.

Now, as long as he obtained the teleporter from the Ultra-Burning Star, this problem would no longer be an issue. Stay tuned with My Virtual Library Empire

"I'll talk to Wei; you keep an eye on the Ultra-Burn Tribe," Lin Shen said.

"Rest assured, with me here, I won't give the Ultra-Burn Tribe any chance," Ouyang Yudu replied.

"Ouyang, having you here, is really great," Lin Shen sincerely exclaimed.

He was naturally playful and could never focus on the full picture and strategize from the details like Ouyang Yudu.

Without Ouyang Yudu, they probably would still be unaware of what was happening, and their homeland might very well have been stolen by the Ultra-Burn Tribe.

Lin Shen truly didn't know how much Ouyang Yudu had silently accomplished.

Ouyang Yudu smiled and said, "You just keep moving forward; leave the rest to me."

A seemingly light-hearted remark, as if a joke, yet Lin Shen didn't find it funny at all because he knew the amount of blood, sweat, and effort Ouyang Yudou had put into making that casual statement a reality.

Having turned off the communicator, Lin Shen prepared to return to his home planet.

The situation might not be something Wei could handle alone, necessitating the collective effort of the Wei Family to withstand the invasion of the Ultra-Burn Tribe.

Lin Shen couldn't return to help them, as he had to go to the Ultra-Burn Tribe's home planet, take advantage of the Nirvana Beings' absence, and snatch back the teleporter from the Ultra-Burn Tribe's lair.

That was even more perilous than guarding the home planet, so only he could personally undertake the mission.

Lin Shen teleported to Sea Corn Base once again; recently, the staff there had become quite familiar with him, greeting him with smiles as he arrived.

On the home planet, the Lin Family was not very well-known, but beyond the human home planet, every family knew exactly what kind of force the Lin Family represented.

Now, as the Dean of the Celestial Master Institute and greatly favored by Emperor Tianshu, Lin Shen was a significant reason the human race rose in the cosmic rankings, chiefly because of Lin Shen's elder brother, Lin Xiangdong.

Though the Lin Family was obscure on their home planet, they had become the most prominent voice for humanity in the universe.

As Lin Shen was talking to the staff, he noticed a familiar and stunning figure walk in.

"Goddess Consort?" Lin Shen, slightly surprised at recognizing her, didn't expect to encounter Bai Shenfei here.

Seeing Lin Shen, Bai Shenfei's expression turned slightly complex; she obviously had heard of the numerous exploits Lin Shen now had in the cosmos.

"Why are you back?" Bai Shenfei asked emotionlessly.

Lin Shen smiled, "Just some matters to attend to in Tiancheng, where are you headed?"

Lin Shen knew Bai Shenfei was here to teleport into the cosmos, but he was curious whether she had made any breakthroughs with "Gift Theory."

Like Ouyang Yudou, Bai Shenfei was practicing "Gift Theory," though she had not yet made any breakthroughs.

This time, as Bai Shenfei prepared to teleport from the home planet, she probably had made a breakthrough.

"I'm heading to Donifili Star," Bai Shenfei replied indifferently, as if nothing could touch her.

"Did you make a breakthrough with 'Gift Theory'?" Lin Shen couldn't help but ask.

"Yes," Bai Shenfei nodded slightly, her expression slightly odd.

"That's good," Lin Shen felt happy for Bai Shenfei.

"Gift Theory," purely a human creation, could even compete with top cosmic evolution skills.

Naturally, it would be wonderful if it could be more widely adopted, and Lin Shen was pleased to see it succeed.

Of course, he primarily felt happy for Bai Shenfei; after all, the two were quite familiar and had a good relationship.

"What about you? Nearing Nirvana?" Bai Shenfei, uninterested in discussing her breakthrough, looked at Lin Shen.

"Almost." Lin Shen took out a notebook, wrote down his communication number, and handed it to Bai Shenfei, "I'm doing quite well now. If there's anything I can help with, don't hesitate to contact me."

After talking a bit more with Bai Shenfei, Lin Shen then left the teleportation station.

Bai Shenfei watched Lin Shen's departing figure, her expression growing even stranger, "He hasn't achieved Nirvana yet. I still have a chance to catch up, not in vain that I took that path."
