Lin Shen shared the same thoughts as Wei Shoucheng, regardless of whether these creatures were clones of Changhen Dongli or not, the best plan was undoubtedly to deal with them while they were still asleep.

The four of them could be said to be in perfect agreement—although their purpose in coming here wasn't to kill, in this situation, resolving the issue a minute earlier could potentially avert a disaster.

If even a portion of the clones of Changhen Dongli emerged from the black sphere, the Human Mother Planet would not be able to withstand them.

"You two get ready for battle. Shouxin and I will go up," Wei Shoucheng said, summoning the Carapace and climbing up along a chain.

Wei Shouxin closely followed him, also climbing up the chain.

Lin Shen similarly summoned his Carapace, while at the same time pulling out the Evil Ghost Blade from his back and tossing it to Wei Wufu.

Wei Wufu was currently using the Purple Crystal Hard Whip he'd found on the turtle's back. With Lin Shen giving him the Evil Ghost Blade, Wei Wufu now wielded blades in both hands.

With his martial skills and level, it was very easy to handle such weapons. Lin Shen, on the other hand, would face problems double-wielding blades.

He still hadn't fully adapted to the opposite attributes of this place. If it were completely opposite, it would be a bit easier to adjust.

But it wasn't completely opposite here; some things were reversed, others were not, which complicated the process of adapting.

Moreover, Lin Shen suspected that the reason for the reversals here might not be due to thought processes or the brain.

If it were a brain issue, Evolution Theory should have had an effect, or at least be triggered, but so far Evolution Theory hadn't reacted at all, leading Lin Shen to suspect that it wasn't environmental factors affecting the brain, but some other reason.

Lin Shen and Wei Wufu made their preparations for battle, in case the clones of Changhen Dongli inside the black sphere were to awaken; a fierce battle would likely ensue then.

Wei Shoucheng and Wei Shouxin climbed up the chain and quickly approached the black sphere, only to find it closed up as if it possessed intelligence as soon as they neared it.

After a brief discussion, the two climbed back down the chain.

"Wait here, I'll go get some beads and see if we can use them to lure the black sphere into opening," Wei Shoucheng said, returning to the Mushroom Forest and took two beads back.

He placed one bead cautiously below, and then he and Wei Shouxin climbed up again together.

After setting a bead at the top of the black sphere, it opened on its own after a while, revealing the figure of Changhen Dongli seated cross-legged inside.

With one hand holding on to the black petal-like substance, Wei Shoucheng summoned the Phoenix Plume Knife in his other hand and struck directly at Changhen Dongli's neck, the purple aura coalescing into an astonishing Blade Qi.

There was a clang, and to their surprise Wei Shoucheng's strike failed to sever Changhen Dongli's head or even harm him.

The purple Blade Qi shattered a foot away from Changhen Dongli as if it had hit something, completely disintegrating.

The Phoenix Plume Knife also struck the invisible object, making a sound like the ringing of metal on stone.

Wei Shouxin climbed up from the other side, his knife carrying Blade Qi as he, too, struck at Changhen Dongli.

The result was the same; when it was about a foot away from Changhen Dongli, it was blocked by something invisible.

The two gritted their teeth and slashed at Changhen Dongli from different directions, only to find that there seemed to be an invisible shield around Changhen Dongli's body that prevented all attacks from getting through.

After half a day of assaulting the shield without any success, the two could only come down from above in frustration.

"If we can't break the shield, that's a bit of trouble," Wei Shouxin said, frowning.

"It's not all bad news, at least we can be sure that these clones of Changhen Dongli can't leave the black sphere for now," Lin Shen said.

"We'll have to go back and ask the old master for help," Wei Shoucheng said.

"I have a Nirvana Level pet, maybe it could give it a try," Lin Shen pulled the Death Powder from his body and tossed it out.

Death Powder clung directly to the chain, crawling along it toward the opened black sphere.

"How are you able to activate a Nirvana Level pet?" Wei Shoucheng asked in surprise as he examined Death Powder.

"This pet is quite special; it's not that I can activate it, but that it can enter combat status directly from its capsule state," Lin Shen explained, though he didn't really know how else to explain it.

The four of them watched as Death Powder climbed up the chain; upon reaching the black sphere, the part of its body that rose up suddenly inflated, turning into a huge creature as thick as a water jar, with a mouthpiece containing numerous gears that resembled red gems, meshing and spinning.

Death Powder bit down directly, but the gears were blocked by the invisible shield, creating sparks as they grinded together with a disturbing sound.

Despite the strength of Death Powder's body Attribute, it couldn't break through the invisible armor, and its massive mouthpiece was blocked on the outside.

Just as everyone was becoming somewhat disappointed, they saw a sinister red glow emanating from Death Powder's mouth; the nearly indestructible invisible shield was instantly shredded by the glowing red gears.

The next second, Death Powder devoured Changhen Dongli, who was sitting inside the black sphere; Changhen Dongli's body was crushed by Death Powder's spinning gears in an instant, swallowed into its belly.

Wei Shoucheng and Wei Shouxin looked on, dumbfounded, before bursting with joy, "What a formidable pet, now there's hope."

After swallowing Changhen Dongli, Death Powder returned to its original form and crawled down the rope.

"We'll retrieve the beads to lure the black sphere open, and you'll have your pet kill those guys," Wei Shouxin said as he ran toward the Mushroom Forest.

Lin Shen and the others followed, cautiously carrying back some beads. They collaborated, with Lin Shen and Wei Wufu responsible for bringing the beads back, while Wei Shoucheng and Wei Shouxin climbed up the chains, using the beads to lure the black sphere open.

As soon as the black sphere was opened, Death Powder would crawl in, crush the Changhen Dongli inside, and swallow them into its belly.

The Changhen Donglis inside the black spheres, whether for a lack of full development or some other reason, didn't awaken even with such commotion, each one being crushed and devoured by Death Powder.

With the True Extreme Slaying Evil Death Light, Death Powder was like an all-destroying shredder; the incredibly hard shields crumbled under its gears, a force so destructive that it made Wei Shoucheng and Wei Shouxin feel a chill.

The appetite of Death Powder was like a mysterious existence; despite swallowing so many Changhen Donglis, it showed no sign of being full, its stomach seemingly a bottomless abyss.

Wei Shoucheng lured open another black sphere, but then let out a surprised exclamation, "This clone seems a bit different."
