Chapter 378: Revealing the Gun
Nathan couldn't help but recall the continuation of their conversation regarding the plan.
"That's my condition," said Fenrir.
"Alright." Nathan smiled wryly.
"Still, she is much stronger than you, right? How are you planning to defeat her? Do you think you have enough strength to defeat her?" Fenrir asked.
"Are you going to use the soul contract to utilize the power of elements? But this is not taught until the second year. I thought you were going to hide the element unless it was necessary." Anubis frowned.
"No. All eyes are on me. If I use elements, they will become crazy. Hence, I'm planning to use something else. Something that is effective against her but not visible to others," explained Nathan.
"And that is?"
Nathan raised a finger. "Who has an instinct that I can borrow? Something that I can unlock or borrow?"
"I have the Beast True Nature ability." Fenrir raised his paw. "Unfortunately, it's not something I can use yet."
"I have Dragon Instinct. It's still locked, but it's an ability that will be useful in battle." Nidhogg raised his finger.
Anubis and Jinwu exchanged looks before shaking their heads.
"Which one is closer to being unlocked?" Nathan asked.
"My Dragon Instinct is the one I used to scan Niflheim, so it's a powerful ability. Maybe not mine…" Nidhogg lowered his finger.
"In that case, mine. Beast True Nature will increase my ferocity as a beast, which includes amplifying all my senses."
"It's Fenrir then." Nathan nodded. He formed a contract as an assurance, but it seemed his worries came true.
After all, Nathan saw the message from the Dragon King.
'Although I have given you the information about her familiars, my daughter is still the strongest of all. She has learned six out of eight Dragon Martial Arts. I'm just worried that she will use the two techniques from the other half of the martial arts. Their powers are simply on a whole different level. So, I have to warn you about this.'
Nathan took a deep breath, circulating his breath.
Filia couldn't help but ask, "Is this Alavenya's true power? I can follow her movement, but barely. This kind of speed is abnormal. No, this is simply too much. I don't think anyone in the second year is faster than her. Does this mean if Alavenya unleashes her full power, she might be able to defeat the other top three students in the second year?"
The people didn't expect such a display of power.
However, their attention returned to Nathan right away.

"Limit unlock." Nathan muttered in a low voice. "Instinct."
"!!!" Fenrir could feel his senses increasing for a second. He realized Nathan had finally activated his trump card.
[In exchange for 1,000 Ena, Fenrir's Beast True Nature Skill is unlocked for 30 minutes. This contract will be active once Nathan says, 'Limit Unlock.']
[In exchange for 100 Ena, Fenrir will lend his Beast True Nature Skill for 30 minutes. This contract will be effective once Nathan says, 'Instinct,' in less than a minute after saying, 'Limit unlock.']
In that instant, Nathan's senses were strengthened multiple times. In the end, Fenrir's senses were much sharper than his, so the effect was much greater when Nathan had it.
He could even hear what the people were talking about from his position, albeit he acted as if he couldn't.
Nathan's stance slightly changed to a more natural one.
'He is…' Sullivan noticed the slight change. '…like a beast now. Is there another trump card that he hasn't shown? Still, will that trump card be enough? His uniform has been enhanced, but Alavenya's attack is so powerful that it can even injure him that much with just a single kick.'
For the first time since the battle began, Nathan reached out to something in his blouse.
He took out his gun, a new weapon that the world didn't know of.
"That's… Is that Nathan's weapon? Does he actually have a weapon other than his gloves? No. "Are his gloves even a weapon?" Filia asked out loud.
Sera, Selena, and Flora smiled. This was the secret weapon Nathan had been creating. They didn't know how effective it was, but Nathan wasn't someone who made a useless weapon.
"What is that weapon?"
"It looks like a crossbow at first glance, but it's not."
"The design is unique. It's simple, but elegant."
The pistol was white in color. The surface looked smooth, but the inside contained all sorts of enchantment. The barrel was quite long, and the material would be able to withstand a much stronger force. This would be his weapon for at least a few years.
Alavenya examined the pistol, unable to move carelessly. She had learned how much she suffered after underestimating him.
Alavenya once again made some light jumps, as if she was ready to disappear once again.
Nathan pointed his pistol toward her.
It felt like there was a sudden tranquilness between them for a split second. And that was when Alavenya disappeared.
"Here she comes…" Nathan muttered. With Fenrir's skill, his eyes could barely follow her. However, his instinct managed to react perfectly.
Alavenya once again kicked his head, but Nathan suddenly bent his knees, avoiding the kick.
"Huh?!" Alavenya was dumbstruck. She had moved this fast, but Nathan was able to avoid it? How?
Before getting that answer, Nathan had already corrected his aim and pulled the trigger.
The pistol drained his Ena as a light came out of the nozzle. That light expanded to a size two times bigger than Alavenya.
"!!!" Alavenya hurriedly put both her arms in front as the bullet, or more like a cannon, pushed her back.
"Kh." Alavenya gritted her teeth. She rotated her arms a bit so that her palms were facing the beam. After that, her arms began to make a circular motion.
Dragon Grappling.
Her Ena created a torrent that actually bent Nathan's beam, deflecting it to the left.
"Huuu…" Alavenya sighed in relief. However, both she and Nathan noticed there were wounds on her arms as though they were almost shredded.
This was the price she had to pay because her Iron Body was not strong enough to withstand the torrential force of Dragon Grappling.
Still, both of them knew that the battle had just begun.
