Summon of the Bloodline

Chapter 23: Chapter (23) The Dragon Queen's Bloodline Summons

When Zhen Chen returned to the medicinal herb plantation, Yu Xue Yin called him into the office and said:

"Ah, Zhen Chen, I need to go home for a while. Wait for me at your place. I'll come find you after I inform my mother. I'll be back soon to continue my cultivating."

Zhen Chen thought for a moment and asked, "Yu Xue Yin, are you not going to work anymore?"

"I've handed over the tasks to Xin Lan. Cultivation is more important to me now."

Zhen Chen, seeing Yu Xue Yin's enthusiasm for cultivation , could only nod in response. Just then, the door opened, and Xin Lan entered, handing over some herb inventory lists to Yu Xue Yin.

"Yu Xue Yin, everything has been checked. These lists are ready to be sent out."

Yu Xue Yin reviewed the files, signed them, and said, "Xin Lan, I'll need you to oversee things for a few days in my place. I have to travel for a bit. Don't worry, alright? I'll head home, inform my mother, and then set off. Bye!"

Before Xin Lan could respond, Yu Xue Yin had already left the office. Zhen Chen was about to follow when Xin Lan stopped him.

"Zhen Chen, where are you going?"

"I'm heading home too. I need to take a bath and rest. Besides, today's a holiday. See you later, Xin Lan. Bye!"

Zhen Chen quickly bid farewell to Xin Lan and dashed off, leaving Xin Lan standing there, puzzled. She couldn't help but feel that both of them were hiding something. Was there something going on between them?

Xin Lan laughed at herself and muttered, "Impossible! What kind of woman is Yu Xue Yin? Xin Lan, you're overthinking things again. You're going crazy... you're going crazy..."

Alone in the office, Xin Lan shook her head, muttering to herself.

The Sea of the God of Dragons

The Outer Realm of the Central Council

Floating in the air was a massive city. Directly below it, waves crashed violently against a towering sea. A sharp cape jutted out into the sea, and on it stood a grand, circular dome made of dark stone.

Inside the dome, a handsome middle-aged man and a tall, large-headed man were conversing. The tall man's voice was soft but carried an air of authority.

"East Palace Lord... it's been a long time since the Bloodline Summoning was last conducted. You know this. Although high-level bloodline clans are allowed to summon, most have failed. That's why the Central Council has relaxed its oversight. If the Palace Lord wishes to summon, an agreement must first be reached."

The East Palace Lord was surprised and asked, "Elder Shi, in the past, apart from offering bloodline sacrifices, no agreements were needed, right?"

The tall man poured some wine into a silver cup and replied, "Previous bloodline restoration attempts failed, and most summoned individuals were treated as mere slaves for breeding purposes. When the higher-ups in the Central Council's inner realm found out, they put a stop to it."

"Most of the summoned are from human and star-dust spirit clans. If a summoning is conducted, the summoned must be given a suitable position within the clan and recognized as an allied bloodline. Additionally, whether the bloodline restoration succeeds or fails, the summoned must be freed from the clan's pressure and allowed to retain their human territory."

"These demands have made the high-level clans hesitant to conduct summonings. Palace Lord, I suggest you discuss this again with the White Ice Dragon Queen. Honestly, it seems the higher-ups in the Central Council's inner realm don't want summonings to happen anymore. They seem to be planning something to revive the human race."

The East Palace Lord pondered for a moment before making a decision and said, "Very well. Thank you, Elder Shi. However, the Queen has already made her decision. Proceed with the summoning preparations. And please accept this small gift."

The East Palace Lord pushed forward a small box, which Elder Shi accepted while shaking his head.

"If that's the case, I can't argue further. The Queen is too eager to conduct the summoning. By the way..."

Elder Shi opened the box and was stunned. Inside was a glowing eye, radiating immense power. Elder Shi was shocked.

"This is..."

The East Palace Lord smiled and said, "This is the eye of the Blood-Sucking Demon King from the Sea of Destruction. I heard Elder Shi needed a blood transformation pill, so I arranged this as a gift. I hope you like it."

Elder Shi nodded gratefully and said, "Thank you, Palace Lord. This item is crucial for healing my wounds. It's extremely rare and hard to obtain."

The East Palace Lord smiled and thought of subtly hinting at Elder Shi's needs.

"Elder Shi, you must have heard about the rivalry between our White Ice Dragon Clan, the Green Vine Fairy Clan, and the Dark Magic Clan. That's why I need your help to ensure the other two clans don't find out about the summoning. Can you assist me?"

Elder Shi waved his hand and said, "Don't worry. I'm familiar with the White Ice Dragon Clan, and the Palace Lord has always favored me. I'll make sure no one finds out. However, the summoning must be conducted directly by the Central Council, not the White Ice Dragon Clan's branch. This way, no clan will know about the summoning. After the bloodline restoration, we can quietly bring the summoned to the White Ice Dragon Clan. Of course, we'll have to appease the human higher-ups in the Council."

The East Palace Lord nodded in agreement.

"Very well. Let's proceed accordingly. What preparations do we need on our end?"

"We'll pay for the necessary resources with energy stones instead of the clan's reputation points. We'll also need to submit a designated position for the summoned and an allied bloodline contract. Once the inner overseers approve, the summoning can proceed."

After a lengthy discussion, everything was arranged. The East Palace Lord then left the transportation council and returned to the White Ice Dragon Clan.

Upon returning to the White Ice World, the East Palace Lord immediately headed to the Crystal White Palace to meet the Queen.

The sparkling ice lotuses reflected beautifully in the pond, creating a breathtaking scene. In the middle of the pond stood a high-roofed palace connected by a golden bridge. Inside the palace, the Queen was gently playing a stringed instrument. The melodious tune filled the surroundings, creating a serene atmosphere. Just then, a guard approached and announced:

"Your Majesty, the East Palace Lord requests an audience."
