Summon of the Bloodline

Chapter 2: Chapter 2: Awakening of the Lost Power

The moment Zhen Chan woke up, his entire body felt weightless, as if an invisible shackle had been removed. A strange sensation coursed through him—something had changed. Something extraordinary.

The night before, he had desperately tried to remove the mysterious tether wrapped around his neck. He had clawed at it, pulled at it, but just when he thought he was close to breaking free, the tether had disappeared. It was no longer visible, yet he could still feel it pressing against his skin, its presence undeniable.

As he stirred, his fingers brushed against the invisible chain once more. This time, he took a closer look. What had once seemed like a simple tether was now a delicate silver chain, engraved with intricate patterns that pulsed with light. Tiny sparks of energy swirled within the translucent crystal links, shifting between vibrant colors, almost as if the chain were… alive.

"What… is this?"

"Could it be… from beyond the stars?"

His breath caught in his throat as he stared at the mesmerizing lights. Just then, the world around him blurred, dissolving into a thick, swirling fog. The chain in his hand began to glow brighter, its colors spinning faster and faster, forming a single point of concentrated light.

A piercing silver beam erupted from the chain, shooting straight into his eyes.

Zhen Chan's entire body stiffened. Terror gripped him.

"Am I… going to die?"

His vision went black, yet his eyes remained wide open. His body was frozen, trapped in an abyss of nothingness.

Then, the pain struck. A sharp, searing agony radiated through his skull, as if something was drilling into his brain.

"Is this… X-ray radiation?"

No—X-rays didn't cause pain like this.

"Gamma radiation? Or some kind of energy wave?"

Before he could form another thought, a wave of heat surged through his skull, flowing outward like ripples in a pond.

His brain felt like it was melting.

A horrifying realization dawned upon him.

"My mind… is breaking apart!"

Yet, as the unbearable sensation continued, something changed. The pain didn't consume him—it transformed.

A flood of knowledge poured into his mind.

The overwhelming flow of information should have driven him insane. Yet, instead of fear, a strange clarity took over. His thoughts sharpened. The world around him… expanded.

This wasn't just random information. It was ancient knowledge—secrets of the cosmos, of power, of things humanity had long since forgotten.

At that moment, Zhen Chan realized…

His mind had surpassed human limitations.

The Lost Power of Humanity ...

His consciousness stretched beyond its normal boundaries. It was as if his brain had become a supercomputer, processing vast amounts of information at an inhuman speed.

He now understood the fundamental laws of energy—its sources, perception, storage, and control.

One concept stood out among them all.

Spiritual Energy.

Unlike ordinary energy, spiritual energy was the very fabric of existence. It flowed through the universe like an unseen river, concentrated in living planets. Those who could harness it became stronger, lived longer, and transcended mortal limitations.

Ancient civilizations had mastered this power, rising to incredible heights. But those who failed… crumbled into oblivion.

And humanity?

Humanity had once possessed this knowledge. They had touched the divine, reached for the stars. But something had gone terribly wrong.

The human race had lost its connection to spiritual energy. Their civilization had stagnated, regressing into a forgotten corner of the universe.

Earth… was nothing more than a discarded remnant of what once was.

But now, Zhen Chan stood at the threshold of rediscovery.

He alone had glimpsed the truth.

He alone could reclaim what humanity had lost.

The journey had begun.
