Chapter 442: Dangerous...

An eighth circle spell. Not many were capable of doing so in the Britannia Empire. That was the sole reason why the ALA, Azure Lightning Academy of Sword and Magic, was the number one academy in the Britannia Empire, on par with the royal family was precisely because they possessed two eighth circle mages and three eighth star aura knights, a force no one else had.

The ancestor was a secret they held deep among themselves, but it wasn't like the assistance of the ancestor was needed. Their own forces were enough to deal with any threats that came their way, even if they were cultivators. Of course, that didn't mean they could take cultivators lightly because at high levels, cultivators could ignore mana penalties to great degrees.

Right now, one such attack on the academy was underway. No one would have expected that ten or some people would be able to reduce the academy to that state. The only reason they were able to do so was because of the sole person who was slaughtering the knights of the academy left and right.

The academy was certain that if it were the lunatic of the empire or the hidden emperor, things wouldn't have gotten to that point. Yet for a nobody who wasn't even known to the entire world a few years ago to reduce them to that state was a straight-up humiliation.

The fact that their headmaster was currently trying to research a way to strengthen his circle was just an excuse. Even if he was there, it wouldn't have made much of a difference, and that fact was proven soon enough when...

"Will of Thunder!"

An eighth circle lightning spell that was so complicated that even Clarissa, an eighth circle mage, had difficulty using it to its full potential. She couldn't connect the circles and the circuits in those circles in a proper way to complete the spell fully.

But it was different for the headmaster of the academy, Karl Williamson. He could cast the spell fully to its great potential and could even enhance its lethality.

Yet, such a spell from such a person had struck the main reason of the academy's current predicament head-on as a surprise without any defensive measures, and the response to that great and lethal attack was...

"Ow..."

~~

'Fu*k. Where did that attack come from?' Wei Jun asked in annoyance before it suddenly struck him.

'Right. He's gone.' Wei Jun thought, a sense of loss striking his heart. He never thought he would feel anything that resembled sadness over someone leaving him.

'Well, he was handy for sure.' Wei Jun thought as he stood up. In the distance, he looked at the shocked people, his allies and enemies alike. He had stood up without much problem, even though all the bones in his body were shattered.

That much pain was bearable. He looked at his left ribs where the attack had struck. He felt as if his heart had stopped for a second due to the strong electrocution. Still, due to the [Death Veil] and [Qi armament], not to mention the current amount of his INT stat, he managed to get away with only shattered bones and a paralysis for a few seconds, which wasn't that harsh for Wei Jun anyway.

Wei Jun stood up and turned to look at the man who was floating in the air, with a somewhat astonished expression on his face that was well hidden as if he wasn't surprised by the feat Wei Jun had displayed, but Wei Jun managed to spot the hints of surprise behind his stoic expression.

Wei Jun smiled and began to walk forward slowly. Both sides had stopped and were waiting for the leaders of their respective sides to make a move.

"If you stop here, we shall not hold it against you anymore." The headmaster said. Wei Jun looked at the old man who had appeared out of nowhere. Without the overseer, Wei Jun had very little knowledge when it came to spells and magic.

That chance to call it a truce was a good one considering he lacked knowledge severely, but looking behind the old man's magnanimity, Wei Jun could clearly see the hints of desperation, being the master of negotiation he was. It wasn't just him; the old man had drawn a conclusion about this current battle as well.

They would lose. Wei Jun would win.

'Hah! I'd be a pushover if I agreed.' Wei Jun smirked and simply asked, "Then give me Clarissa's head."

"What?" The headmaster's expression soured upon hearing Wei Jun's demand.

"Look at this. Don't you think you have done enough?" The old man looked around at the litters corpses and the flowing streams of blood.

"So what? It was she who started it." Wei Jun said unreasonably like a five-year-old, "She kidnapped my wife first and then tried to bind me to the academy by threatening me with her life. If anything, I'm the victim here."

"..." Not just his enemies, even his allies couldn't help but admit how much of a shameless person Wei Jun was being. Even the person who was kidnapped in the entire scenario never even once thought of Wei Jun as the victim.

"..." Wei Jun looked at the headmaster in confusion.

"Was he a swindler or something?" Xing Xiaomei asked, and the rest couldn't help but nod in agreement.

"That would be an incorrect term." Lin Ruan, a businesswoman, said, and Yue Peng nodded in assent, "That's not swindling. He's not asking for any monetary benefits."

"Then what is it?" Xing Xiaomei asked.

"He's just shameless and pushing the blame on them." Lin Ruan replied with a stoic expression.

'I can hear you all.' Wei Jun couldn't help but think so in annoyance. Still, his stance was the same. He looked at the headmaster, who was floating in the air, and the headmaster looked back at him.

"Let us discuss this among the top brass." The headmaster said.

"Haha." Wei Jun chuckled before he asked while gazing in the direction far away from their left, "Tell me honestly. You think I'm an idiot, don't you?"

The headmaster looked in that direction and was aware that his plan was seen through in an instant. The incomplete draconian was dangerous, and even two strong opponents weren't able to overwhelm him even now.

Given enough time, the outcome of that battle was decided. The incomplete draconian would win. If that happened, there was no chance of Wei Jun winning.

"Decide now. In five seconds." Wei Jun said as he took a few steps forward and was now only a few meters away from the headmaster. The master looked at him for a few seconds before he simply sighed.

[Fireball]

A giant flaming ball engulfed Wei Jun almost instantly, and a massive wave of Qi emitted from Wei Jun that struck the headmaster's mana shield but didn't manage to damage it in any way.

"I'll take that as a no." Wei Jun commented before he launched himself at the sect master, the diamond sword clutched in his both hands and backed by a proper stance and deliver, with the added factor of the [Qi discharge] and the [Death Veil], Wei Jun was pretty sure he would be able to make it through the barrier but...

Clang!!!

Sparks scattered as his attack force dispersed almost instantly, evenly in all directions without leaving significant damage behind.

"So your attack is not as significant as your defense." The headmaster said that before eight magic circles as once appeared behind him, and out of those peeked spears of different attributes such as fire, ice, water, light, and lightning.

"Two can play that game." Wei Jun said with a smirk.

Almost instantly, hundreds of spears made of death appeared behind him, their shape not a crude stick but proper lances that seemed as if they were crafted by an expert artisan.

But, as much as Wei Jun would have thought, his attack force was indeed not that great. Even his defense was only amazing because he was fighting mages. Fighting a cultivator on the same rank as the headmaster would have yielded an entirely different result.

The spears from both forces collided, and the spears from the headmaster easily managed to shatter the spears made by Wei Jun, but the redeeming quality in Wei Jun's spears was their numbers. Even if one spear from the headmaster managed to cut through ten of Wei Jun's spears, they were still too much for eight spears as once.

'Why does he have so much Qi?' The headmaster couldn't help but be confused by that sole fact, and not just him, many enemies who had fought Wei Jun in the past were confused by Wei Jun's immense Qi pool.

If they were fighting a simple Qi commander right now, the same cultivator would have run out of Qi ages ago, yet Wei Jun was using it like he still had a lot of it in spare.

'I should finish it before I run out of mana.' The headmaster determined himself before deciding. One thing he and all his allies had to admit at this point without no chance of refusal.

'This boy is dangerous.'

Wei Jun was dangerous.
