Strongest Soldier King

Chapter 212: Rival in Love Challenges

"""

A month quietly slipped away amid intensive training. Throughout this month, everyone felt the changes in Luo Zheng. The most noticeable was his aura, which had become much sharper, resembling a freshly honed sword, carrying an unstoppable killing intent. After a month of training to the brink of death, he could now hold his breath underwater for up to three and a half minutes, and that was after a high-intensity session of military boxing. If he were just quietly diving, he definitely could last even longer.

His strength and speed had also improved a lot. Ghost Hand and the others felt they were almost on par with him. A month of sparring had left no trace of excess fat on his body, which, when tensed, felt as hard as wood. This result greatly alarmed yet inexplicably pleased Lan Xue, which meant that Luo Zheng had the potential to reach the strength of an Ordinary Soldier King in three months.

In the second month, Lan Xue changed the training regimen. Mornings continued with diving training, as underwater exercises in an anaerobic state were very helpful for physical fitness and couldn't be neglected. Afternoon sparring became actual combat; at first, it was one-on-one with Luo Zheng, then it turned into two-on-one. After a week, Ghost Hand, Snow Leopard, and Mountain Eagle ganged up on Luo Zheng all at once. Lan Xue watched with heartache yet stayed strong, scolding them from time to time when she noticed they were holding back.

In the evening, they continued with firearms training. During breaks, the four of them discussed bombing strategies and imparted their knowledge of tracking, reconnaissance, infiltration, makeup, and the most advanced weapons from around the world to Luo Zheng. Realizing his foreign language skills were lacking, they switched to teaching in multiple languages, reverting to their mother tongue whenever he didn't understand. Lan Xue wished she could crack open Luo Zheng's head and pour in all the knowledge, experience, and abilities.

Luo Zheng knew time was pressing and did not want to let down the beauty or the brotherhood. Except for six hours of sleep and meal times, he devoted all his time to training. Halfway through the second month, Luo Zheng felt he could withstand ten minutes of being surrounded by Ghost Hand and the others without falling. However, Luo Zheng was not satisfied and asked Lan Xue to join the fray as well.

Ghost Hand was shocked beyond measure. After all, it was three Soldier Kings ganging up! Even an Ordinary Soldier King was still a Soldier King, capable of handling five or six Special Forces without a problem. Each of them, feeling the stimulus, also increased their training intensity. It was taking this long for three to fight one, and they couldn't afford to lose face.

Stimulated, Ghost Hand and his team intensified their bombardment on Luo Zheng, causing Wu Miao to become extremely nervous. However, he said nothing, observing from the sidelines and ready to administer emergency aid if needed. Since reporting to the battalion commander, Wu Miao had come to the beach daily to watch the training and continue gathering data, always ready to offer medical help. With professional care and Luo Zheng's freakish recovery ability, no injuries had developed, and Luo Zheng was starting to feel grateful to Wu Miao.

Time flew, and the third month arrived. That day, as everyone was discussing changes to the training plan on the beach, they had all tanned as dark as Africans from two months in the sun, and the high-intensity training had made everyone much leaner. Yet, their auras had all improved to varying degrees. Lan Xue was very relieved to find that Ghost Hand and the others had also significantly increased in strength.

"Next, we might have to train in driving, parachuting, and familiarize ourselves with various advanced weapons. Let's schedule that for the afternoon, and we can do all the diving and combat training in the morning. We could move the combat from land to water to increase difficulty, and at night, sniper training. What do you think?" Lan Xue slowly expressed her own ideas.

"Xue Er, I didn't expect to find you here. I came to look for you the moment I got back from the mission. Are you moved?" Before anyone could respond, a voice drifted over. As everyone turned their heads to look, their expressions grew odd. Lan Xue was icy as frost, while Ghost Hand, Snow Leopard, and Mountain Eagle looked at Luo Zheng with a peculiar gaze. Luo Zheng, puzzled, watched the newcomer, sensing that this person was very strong.

"Snow Fox, aren't you annoying?" Lan Xue coldly reprimanded.

"""

"Annoying? Why would it be annoying? Being with you is my lifelong pursuit and wish, how could it be annoying?" Snow Fox said with a chuckle, with a casual and nonchalant face, his eyes playfully falling on Luo Zheng, he said casually, "You're Luo Zheng, right? I've heard a bit about you. Let's have a match, and whoever wins takes Xue Er."

Luo Zheng was taken aback, looking towards Lan Xue, who gave an awkward and forced smile, wanting to explain. But Luo Zheng laughed, understanding that this was one of Lan Xue's suitors. However, he didn't feel any killing intent from the other party. Slowly getting to his feet, he said, "Alright then, let's have a match. Do you know why you haven't won Xue Er's heart?"

"Why?" Snow Fox knew that Luo Zheng was laying a trap, leading him to jump into it and lose the initiative in the conversation, but he still asked, becoming alert.

"Because a man like me would never bet his woman on anything. Come on, if you want to fight, let's fight; if not, get lost," Luo Zheng said disdainfully, not backing down at all in terms of momentum.

"Interesting, I'm starting to like you now. Come at me," Snow Fox said as he took a step forward and made a gesture inviting Luo Zheng to make the first move. Challenging Luo Zheng already gave off the impression of bullying the weaker, and if he were to strike first, how could he face others after it got out?

Lan Xue watched Luo Zheng nervously. Although his training results had been good recently, there was still a significant gap between him and an Elite Soldier King like Snow Fox. Luo Zheng smiled faintly, knowing that some things had to be faced head-on. Approaching Snow Fox, he wasted no time. He pushed off the ground with his foot and executed the first move of the third set of military boxing, a simple leading-right punch.

As an existence at the Elite Soldier King level, Snow Fox was naturally very familiar with this set of military boxing, so much so that it could be said to be ingrained in his soul. He immediately recognized its depth and floated a trace of annoyance on his face. Taking a step back, he said coldly, "What, you look down on me?"

Luo Zheng didn't respond but bent his body and pushed fiercely off the ground, surging forward like a bullet, with his fist as the arrow and his body as the bow, his momentum bursting forth. His attacking punch carried a whistling sound through the air, boldly pressing on.

"Now it's getting interesting," Snow Fox said with a faint smile, stretching out his massive hand and transforming it into a grasp, reaching for Luo Zheng's fist. As long as he got a firm hold and pulled back, Snow Fox was confident he could make Luo Zheng take a big fall. Facing Luo Zheng, Snow Fox believed he needed only one hand; using both would be an insult to himself.

But then, Snow Fox quickly realized something was wrong. With his terrifying speed, he should have been able to catch Luo Zheng's fist, and he did, even applying a pulling force. The problem was, Snow Fox felt like Luo Zheng's body was delivered to him voluntarily, requiring no effort to pull. Shocked inside, his nonchalant eyes saw that Luo Zheng had used his body's momentum to push forward, his shoulder aiming straight for his heart. If it hit, he would undoubtedly be sent flying.
