Strongest Soldier King

Chapter 208: Wu Miao's Anger

Luo Zheng had chosen a type of ocean training that included hypoxia endurance, physical training, stamina training, martial arts training, deep water training, sprint training, and heat exposure training. Lying on the beach to recover in the sun was hardly pleasant; it was a brutal regime that a normal person could not withstand. Luo Zheng sustained himself purely on a belief and the family's Breathing Skill, but by dusk, he could no longer hold on and collapsed on the beach, having just recovered from an injury, subjected to such intense physical activity, it was more than anyone could bear.

Ghost Hand, who had been hiding in the dense forest and observing, noticed that Luo Zheng had been unconscious for half an hour, which was inconsistent with previous conditions. Sensing something was wrong, he hurriedly rushed over to check and found Luo Zheng had fallen into a coma due to exhaustion. He hastily fed what was left of their water to Luo Zheng, as much as he could consume, and then carried Luo Zheng on his back, running frantically back to the base.

Upon entering the base, curious onlookers turned their gaze towards the anxious Ghost Hand. Some approached offering help but were rejected by Ghost Hand, who rushed into the medical room. The medical staff immediately came to provide aid, leaving Ghost Hand waiting outside. Mountain Eagle and Snow Leopard, hearing the news, hurried over and learned of the situation, smiling bitterly. Thinking of Lan Xue's admonition before she left, they felt their scalps tingle, unsure how to explain the situation to her.

"What happened?" Captain Wu hurried over and asked with a somber expression.

Ghost Hand frankly relayed the situation. The Captain's expression dramatically changed, but he didn't blame the three. He looked worriedly towards the medical room. Just then, the attending physician came out, removing her pristine mask to reveal a beautiful visage. Wu Miao, one of the "three beauties" at the base, known as "Water Beauty" for her gentle, mild temperament towards everyone, was highly respected by everyone at the base.

However, this time, "Water Beauty" Wu Miao did not have a pleasant expression; her face was icy cold, rivalling the frosty "Ice Beauty" Lan Xue. With ominous eyes, she sharply questioned, "What were you thinking, training soldiers like this? This is practically killing them; I'm going to report your excessive actions."

"How is the person inside? Is it serious?" Captain Wu advanced and asked.

"You're just in time. I'm warning you, this training method won't work; it's unscientific. The patient is severely dehydrated, weak, has major deficits in qi and blood, and his muscles are in severe strain. He won't recover anytime soon, and even if he recovers, he might be disabled. He can't see anyone right now and needs to rest. Please, leave," Wu Miao said without hesitation, issuing a clear order to leave. In the medical facility, the doctor is the highest authority, and Captain Wu could only leave with a wry smile.

After sending everyone away, Medical Officer Wu Miao entered the sick room to re-examine Luo Zheng and prescribed medication, instructing the nurse to administer an IV. After documenting the medical situation in detail on the medical record, she told the nurse, "Keep a close watch on his condition. Inform me immediately if anything changes. I'll be on night duty tonight," she said, before going to rest.

Early the next morning, Wu Miao was surprised the nurse hadn't sought her out overnight, so she went to the nurse's station to inquire and learned that the patient had no adverse reactions throughout the night. He had woken up at three in the morning, claimed he was hungry, had some food, and now was resting in the sickbed. Wu Miao breathed a sigh of relief but still felt uneasy. When she arrived at the sick room, however, there was no sign of the patient on the bed, which shocked her. She immediately turned to the nurse.

The nurse's face turned pale. Not knowing what to do, Wu Miao didn't blame her but instead asked the security at the door to pull up the footage. At around five in the morning, the patient had left. Wu Miao was furious; his injuries had not yet healed, and he had already slipped away. She immediately ran to Captain Wu's office to ask for personnel.

Upon hearing this, Captain Wu was also startled and immediately called Ghost Hand and the others to inquire. They all said they didn't know where he had gone. Surprised and somewhat suspicious, Captain Wu said, "Alright, take me to the beach. I bet that bastard has gone to train again."

"Beach training, what's that about?" Wu Miao asked anxiously.

Captain Wu had no choice but to briefly explain the situation, a bitter smile forming on his face. The team members were training recklessly, and the commander was unaware, leaving no one able to intervene. However, Wu Miao didn't see it that way. Hearing how Luo Zheng was training, he immediately became annoyed and said, "This is unacceptable, it could be fatal! Quickly, go and stop him."

The group hurried to the seaside only to find that, aside from some food and clear water stacked on the beach, there was no sign of Luo Zheng. Captain Wu looked to the Ghost Hand trio, who wore bitter expressions. Ghost Hand, feeling helpless, pointed to the ocean and said, "He must be underwater right now, he'll surface soon."

No sooner had he finished speaking than a figure popped out of the water, gasping for air—it was none other than Luo Zheng. Wu Miao immediately became furious, trotted over, and shouted, "You idiot, do you have a death wish? Get up here right now, you can't train anymore!" Captain Wu and the Ghost Hand trio exchanged glances and quickly followed.

When Luo Zheng, who was still training, saw it was the military doctor, he was startled. Quickly noticing Captain Wu and the Ghost Hand trio behind the doctor, he hurried onto the beach and exclaimed in surprise, "What are you all doing here? Did you need something from me?"

"You are now my patient, and without my approval, you cannot continue training," Wu Miao said angrily, his face turning pale with rage as he glared at Luo Zheng.

"You are?" Luo Zheng looked at Wu Miao with surprise, then turned to Captain Wu.

There was nobody at the base who didn't know Wu Miao. Luo Zheng's disregard made Captain Wu and the Ghost Hand trio smile bitterly. It almost drove Wu Miao to the edge, who angrily retorted, "I am your attending physician. Now, come back with me for treatment immediately. Without my permission, you are banned from any training."

Luo Zheng glanced at Wu Miao and then focused on the captain, asking, "Did you need me for something?"

"Uh? The doctor—" Captain Wu started to smile bitterly. When it came to medical issues, even he dared not offend Wu Miao and awkwardly did not know what to say.

"If there's nothing else, I'm going back to training," Luo Zheng replied, heading toward the ocean.

"Stop, you are not allowed to go," Wu Miao finally lost his temper, shouting loudly, berating the patient for not caring about himself. It was simply outrageous.

"Don't you see me hopping around? Where am I injured?" Luo Zheng retorted discontentedly. Time was pressing, and not a minute could be wasted. In his quest to become the Strongest Soldier King, Luo Zheng was fully committed and nothing could hinder his training. Impolitely dismissing Wu Miao with a comment, he took big strides into the ocean and once again dived underwater.

Wu Miao, being the most well-liked at the base, had never been spoken back to loudly before. Luo Zheng's comment almost choked him. By the time he regained his composure, Luo Zheng was nowhere to be seen. Fuming with pent-up rage and having no outlet to vent, he glared fiercely at Captain Wu, then turned and walked away.
