Strongest Side-Character System: Please don't steal the spotlight

Chapter 10: On one condition

Suddenly, a panic voice cracked through the tense air.

"What did you do?!"

The round-faced man's words echoed like a gunshot across the ruined hell.

Vonjo slowly turned his head, the expression on his face unreadable, his eyes glowing faintly from the remaining afterglow of system light.

He looked at the man, then to George who was still writhing on the floor, cradling his arm, pale with pain.

Eugene stood frozen with his mouth half-open, still recovering from what he had witnessed—uncomprehending what was happening but still confused.

The tall man near him had unconsciously taken a step back and was now practically pressed against the cracked hell stone, staring at Vonjo like he was some kind of ancient monster that had just awoken.

Vonjo tilted his head, a smirk tugging lazily at the edge of his mouth. His eyes glimmered like obsidian touched by flame.

"Should I really explain it?" he said, his tone mockingly thoughtful, almost entertained.

The others remained silent, too afraid or too dumbfounded to respond.

Seeing their stunned expressions, Vonjo slowly walked forward, the sound of his boots soft but distinct in the hollow silence.

He spread his arms slightly in a casual shrug, the very gesture a taunt.

"At first, you didn't believe a word I said. I spoke clearly. I declared it aloud—openly, honestly. You all mocked me. And now, after I demonstrate it, after you've seen a fraction of what I can do… now you want an explanation?" His voice was smooth, almost amused. "Isn't that a little too late?"

In his head, Vonjo chuckled coldly.

Explain it?

Why would he do something so idiotic?

What kind of fool reveals his cards just because a few ignorant idiots beg him to?

Of course he wouldn't explain anything. That would be giving power to fools.

He already showed off. That should be enough.

But just as he turned his head, ready to walk away, something flashed to his eyes.

The system screen flickered again.

This time, a stream of glowing text suddenly erupted—bullet chats.

Bright, shifting, and brimming with rapid-fire chatter.

[???]: Explain!! You're too cool but I still want to know!!

[GamerBeauty44]: "Pleaseeee Vonjo, I'm begging! What was that system?!"

[MysticBoy777]: "Bro just broke the power scale. But explain, explain!!"

[Simp_King]: "HE'S TOO COLD 😭😭😭 but I need answers!!"

He paused.

Vonjo's eyes narrowed as the wave of usernames and glowing messages passed by.

They weren't talking to each other.

They were talking to him—as if they could see everything he was doing. More importantly, they demanded answers.

He scowled internally. These people... Really want him to tell his trump card? No way!

Even if they are loud and insistent, he ignored them—if he stayed silent—they'd lose interest.

But then—More bullet chats erupted.

[TrashTalker]: "If you're REALLY the strongest, you wouldn't be scared of explaining."

[PurpleLace]: "Right?! Like, he's strong, but what's he hiding? I wanna knowww."

[CrimsonRonin]: "Exactly. If he's that confident, prove it by saying it!!"

[ChaosEnabler]: "Expose yourself if you're not afraid! Only cowards hide their strength!"

Then the round-faced man scoffed loudly, voice shaking slightly but still carrying a trace of challenge. "I get it now… You don't want us, your family to know, don't you? You're scared we'll find out."

Something inside Vonjo snapped.

Veins bulged along his temples as his expression twisted into something dangerous. His eyes sharpened into knives.

On cue, the bullet chats exploded again.

[DarkMemeLord]: "OHHHHH HE MENTIONED THE FAMILY 😭😭 THIS IS GONNA GET GOOD"

[ZodiacQueen]: "YES YES YES PUSH HIM PUSH HIM HARDER"

[InfernalWatcher]: "Don't hold back, round-face! KEEP DIGGING"

Vonjo clenched his jaw.

"You think… I care about that pathetic House of Sutterfouse?" he said slowly, each word dripping with venom. "Do you honestly believe I'd be scared of you all? Scared that you'd all come crawling back on your hands and knees to beg me for forgiveness? That you'd all grovel, sniveling to take me back?"

He laughed.

A quiet, chilling laugh.

"Now that would be scary. Because the truth is… I don't want attachments to trash like the House of Sutterfouse . I don't want connections to that decaying house full of cowardly worms. I don't need all your names. I don't want their pity. I am done with the House of Sutterfouse. Forever. Now, call me only by my name, Vonjo!"

The round-faced guy says, "Hehe! You're still a Sutterfouse and you can't escape that!"

Hearing this, Vonjo scowls. "Huh?" He sneers, "Who said I want to escape?"

He rolled his shoulders, letting a slow, controlled breath out as he began to stretch his limbs, loosening the tension in his body.

His coat shifted with the movement, revealing the faint lines of muscles beneath his shirt—like a panther getting ready to hunt.

"But… if you really insist," Vonjo murmured. "Then fine. I'll show you. And explain it at the same time."

He raised one hand, curling his fingers, beckoning.

"On one condition," he said. "As long as you manage… to burn a single hair on my head," voice dropping into a deadly whisper. "I won't hold back and tell them all!"

BOOM.

The system exploded with messages.

[BulletCannon69]: "HE SAID WHAT?!? BRO IS DIFFERENT 💀💀"

[HotPotatoe]: "A SINGLE HAIR?!?"

[ThirstyFairy]: "I want him. I NEED HIM. Who gave him permission to be this hot???"

[MiladyVonjo]: "Guys… I think I'm in love…"

[Nightshade_Boyz]: "HELP. I can't even hate this dude. I just wanna see if he's serious!"

Vonjo ignored the storm of words, though a faint blush bloomed across his cheeks. He cracked his neck to the side, subtly trying to hide it, and grinned darkly.

He raised his hand again, palm open, fingers twitching in a taunting motion.

"Well?" he said, voice dripping with confidence. "Don't tell me you're scared."

The round-faced man and the tall one-armed man stared at him, their expressions hardening. They glanced at each other once. Then again. Then nodded grimly.

Suddenly, their energies flared—dense, corrupted, and absolutely toxic. The ground beneath them cracked from the surge.

Their auras turned pitch-black, the signature sign of Fallen Curse energy, and they didn't hold back.

No more playing. No more testing waters.

The tall man pulled out a large, almost military-grade pistol, while the round-faced one summoned two smaller firearms from cursed tattoos across his arms.

All three guns shimmered with writhing dark energy, the bullets within glowing sickly purple, infused to the core with malicious intent.

Vonjo watched them with absolute calm.

Behind him, the Lonely Scythe Maniken stirred—but before it could act, Vonjo raised a hand toward it without even looking.

"Don't interfere."

The Maniken froze. And obeyed.

Its black mist thinned, reduced to a trickle, hovering like a passive shadow rather than a threat.

The bullet chats lost their minds.

[VoidViewer]: "WAIT WAIT IS HE REALLY SERIOUS ???"

[AngelInDisguise]: "He's too cool, I'm screamingggg"

[CrossBones]: "Is he gonna really just stand there??"

[BlushQueen]: "He's so handsome when he's cocky… I can't take it…"

Vonjo stood still, arms by his side, smirk unshaken.

Then—

BANG!

The first bullet, laced with fallen curse energy, surged through the air toward his forehead—fast, accurate, deadly.

And then—

Pop. It disappeared.

An inch before it touched his skin, the bullet vanished into nothing.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

The two of were shocked and looked at each other. But they nodded again, and their faces were more grim this time. And so, they began shooting Sahin.

More bullets followed, two dozen at once, from all angles. Each coated in curse energy. Each infused with hatred and violence.

However, none of those attacks seemed to reached him.

Each one disintegrated just before touching his skin, dissolved like they were erased from reality.

The two cursed users gritted their teeth, sweat flying from their brows. They began screaming.

"ARRRGGHHH!!"

"RAAAAGGHHH!!"

They roared and poured more and more curse energy into their weapons, the metal glowing under the strain, almost on the verge of breaking.

Then—

They fired.

A full barrage.

Each bullet now pulsing like a star of corruption, howling through the air with compressed force.

And when they collided—

BOOM.

The entire arena exploded into fire.

The spot where Vonjo stood was swallowed whole in a massive, blinding eruption—flames, smoke, debris, shattered stone.

The shockwave flattened the surrounding chairs, cracked the ceiling, and sent dust billowing in every direction.

Everything vanished in the inferno.

And in the silence that followed… only the howling flame remained.
