Strongest Necromancer System

Chapter 261: Do You Understand?

Jason ran a hand through his hair and released a calming sigh. Jason knew that this wasn't actually a bad thing. The fact that Gina was now his subordinate would allow her to grow faster than any other superhuman in the world, since he could always boost her powers using his Upgrade Points. But Jason didn't know if there would be any other side effects from the new link. Gina looked perfectly okay, and there didn't seem to be anything different about her other than the fact that she was now his subordinate, but Jason couldn't help but feel worried.

Beside Jason, Gina was pulling up the collar of a long black coat with a wide smile on her face. Jason had given Gina his coat to wear, but since she was smaller than Jason, the coat was obviously too large for her. But Gina had insisted that she wanted to wear it, and she had a huge smile on her face as she inhaled Jason's scent from the coat.

Gina was holding one of Jason's hands in her own, and she looked down at the body of the Lich with a curious gaze as she asked Jason what he was doing. Jason blinked as he came back to reality and turned around to look at Gina. Jason smiled at her before he glanced up to see the blue screen floating just over her head.

——

[Gina Fey]

[Upgrade Points: 0/50]

[Upgrade Limit: Undefined]

[MP: 3000]

——

Jason let out a low hum as he narrowed his eyes at the screen, and Gina began to worry if there was really something wrong. Gina came closer and looked up at Jason while asking:

"Is everything okay? You've been silent for a while."

Jason nodded calmly as he finally looked at Gina. Gina gave him a loving smile, and Jason couldn't help but smile back as he felt some of his worry leave him. Jason leaned down to kiss her, and Gina hummed in surprise at his sudden action. Gina gently closed her eyes and leaned into the kiss as she raised her hands to his shoulders. She deepened the kiss and pressed her chest into Jason's body, and Jason had to struggle with his own desires as he pulled back hesitantly.

They would have more time to spend together later. For now, Jason needed to make sure everything was okay with Gina. Jason looked into Gina's eyes and asked a serious question.

"Do you feel any different, Gina?"

Gina was obviously surprised by this question, and she frowned while wondering what Jason was talking about. Gina shook her head and was about to tell him that she felt fine. But she suddenly stopped as a look of realization came over her face! Gina spoke up in slight surprise.

"My mana… there's so much of it."

Gina knew that her magic hadn't been very strong before she died. She was only a C Rank, and even with the Artefact Jason gave her, she could barely keep up with low-level B Ranks.

But now, Gina felt like she was bursting with mana!

Gina brought her hands up and looked at them in surprise as she finally focused on bringing out her mana, and a blue outline surrounded her! A gale wind suddenly burst through the air around her, and Gina quickly stopped releasing mana when Jason put his hand up to block the wind.

Gina had never felt this much power before, and she couldn't even believe that it was really her power! Gina turned to Jason, and the look on his face told her that he knew what had happened. Gina asked Jason what happened to her, and Jason put his hands in his pockets.

Jason debated within himself whether he should tell Gina the whole truth or not, and in the end, he decided that it would be the best way to make her understand. Besides, if Jason was ever going to tell anyone everything about him, then it would be Gina.

"Alright, I'm going to try to explain everything that happened. Just let me finish before you ask any questions, alright?"

Gina nodded while stepping closer to Jason and wrapping her hand around him with a loving smile. Jason felt himself smiling in return, and he quickly organized his thoughts before he began to explain things to her.

Jason told Gina everything. He started from when he got the system from his father's necklace to how he had been receiving messages from his father in the form of letters. He told her about the Primordials and how his father was the one who really saved the world ten years ago, and he gave her a basic rundown of how his system worked and what it meant for him to have a subordinate.

Then, when Jason was sure that Gina understood everything he had said so far, he finally explained how he needed to be the one to kill her to make sure her soul remained in this plane of existence, and how he had unknowingly made her one of his subordinates by resurrecting her from the dead.

Gina could feel a slight headache coming on from all the things that Jason had dumped on her at the same time. There was just so much information that Gina nearly got lost many times. But somehow, Gina was able to follow along with everything that Jason had said, and when Jason was finally done, Gina spoke up slowly.

"So… you weren't joking when you said the world was much bigger than I thought. That's a lot to take in."

Jason chuckled in amusement. Gina hadn't always been the most intellectual person. In fact, Gina hated school more than anyone Jason knew, but that didn't mean that Gina wasn't smart. Gina just never liked the concept of academia as a whole. Jason was sure that Gina was more than smart enough to understand everything he had told her, and after a few seconds, Gina nodded as she finally turned to him and said:

"You're afraid that resurrecting me like this took away my free will, aren't you? You think it will alter my mind like it alters all your other subordinates?"

Jason didn't need to answer for Gina to know that she was right. Jason truly loved Gina, and taking away her free will was the last thing he wanted. Jason didn't want Gina to become another one of his obedient—

Thonk!

Jason blinked as Gina suddenly flicked her finger into his forehead. Jason's head snapped back from the force of the flick, and he blinked in surprise before looking back down at the woman he loved.

What the actual fuck was that for?

Gina was giving Jason a hard look with her hands on her hips, and Jason immediately knew that he was in for one hell of an earful from her!

"Now you listen here, mister. I don't know everything about how your abilities work or how it feels for the rest of your subordinates, but I am more than capable of making my own decisions! You're an absolute blockhead if you think that some magic link is the only reason why I'm doing the things I do! I fucking love you, Jason! I love you so much that I was more scared about losing you than I was about dying! I would have sold my fucking soul if it meant I could stay with you! Do you know how happy I was that I finally saw you again!? Do you know what you mean to me!? You're everything to me, you idiot! So don't you even for one second think that this love I have for you is from some stupid fucking system or whatever the fuck you want to call it! It's me! It's Gina who loves you to hell and back! Look at me, Jason! Do you understand what I'm saying!? Do you understand how much I love you?"

Gina had grabbed Jason by his collar in the middle of her rant, and she was holding Jason down while glaring up at him! There were heavy tears falling down her cheeks, and Jason realized that he had unintentionally hurt Gina's feelings by acting the way he was. He was such an idiot.
