Their kiss was chaste since they were both inexperienced, but when they pulled away, Gina felt lightheaded. Her breaths were coming out in short puffs, and it was as if she couldn't get enough air into her lungs.

There was a massive blush across her cheeks, and she pressed her face into Jason's chest to prevent him from seeing how embarrassed she was.

Jason smiled gently as he buried his nose into Gina's hair. It smelled like his shampoo, and he knew she had used all of it again. He chuckled at the thought and spoke.

"That was surprising."

Gina's hand tightened against Jason's shirt. Her blush was growing all the way to her ears, and Jason could hear the embarrassment in her voice when she spoke up again.

"So uhm… I like you, Jason."

Jason laughed.

"You know you're meant to say that before the kiss, right? Or were you trying to make sure I couldn't say no?"

Gina slammed her fist into Jason's chest angrily, and Jason laughed. If he was still the same as before, then that would have hurt like hell, but now he could barely feel it. Gina spoke up again.

"Give me an answer already! This is embarrassing!"

Jason pulled back and brought Gina's face up so he could see it. Her cheeks were bright red from a heavy blush, and she averted her eyes from him with a pout! Jason felt a sadistic pleasure shoot through him once he saw the way she was so shy at that moment. Jason always knew Gina to be tough and strong-willed, so seeing her react this way because of a confession did crazy things to him.

He leaned down and kissed her, and Gina leaned into the kiss. She wrapped a hand around Jason's neck and put her hand through his hair to deepen the kiss! And when Jason pulled back, Gina bit his bottom lip and pulled at it so she could savor as much of him as possible!

Jason spoke up with a grin.

"Of course, I like you, Gina. I'd be a fool not to see how amazing you are. But let's talk about this later, when things settle down."

Jason looked toward his mother, and Gina realized that she couldn't have chosen a worse time to confess! She literally confessed to a man while his unconscious mother was lying on a hospital bed beside them! What an idiot!

She quickly nodded as she felt even more embarrassed, and Jason's grin widened.

"If I knew you liked me this much, I would've said something sooner. After all those times I caught you staring at me, I should've known."

Gina gasped and pulled back with a scandalized look on her face!

"I don't stare!"

Jaso rose a brow.

"Really?"

"W-Well, maybe I do! But you stared at my chest too!"

Jason's eyes trailed down to Gina's large boobs, and he scratched his chin with a perverted grin. He thought he was more subtle about those times he stared at her. But could she blame him? Her chest was an absolute work of art!

Even though Jason always tussled with Gina and teased her whenever she tried to boast about her beauty, he couldn't deny that she was beautiful! She had a figure that most women would kill for, and her face had a mature big-sister look that could drive any man into telling her all his secrets!

Jason knew that Gina didn't use a lot of makeup. She had slept over at his house many times, and she was still beautiful even after a long night's sleep! She had every right to brag!

Jason was about to say something to Gina when the door suddenly opened again. Jason's eyes narrowed, and he turned to glare at whoever was there, but his glare turned to a frown once he saw who it was.

It was a young man wearing a black suit. He had an air of authority around him as he stood at the door, and his eyes had a sharp glint to them that would have made anyone else nervous but only irritated Jason.

Gina's eyes widened once she saw who was at the door, and she quickly began to untangle herself from Jason's hold while standing up! She couldn't believe they were caught like this!

"Sir…"

The man's sharp eyes turned to Gina, and he smiled! He obviously knew what was happening in the room, but he was mature enough not to comment on it.

"Miss Gina Fey, I presume. I saw your actions on the news recently, and I must say you have a very heroic spirit. There aren't many who would stand up to their superiors the way you did."

Gina smiled in mild embarrassment and thanked him.

The man standing in front of them was the Head of Superhuman Correspondence in the Superhuman Management Department, one of the highest-ranking members of the Superhuman world! The fact that he was here showed that Jason's stunts had finally reached the upper echelons!

The only reason Gina knew this man was because she had seen him on television as well as in the various times she caught glances of him when her guild went to the Superhuman Department building.

He was an A-Rank Supporter-type superhuman, and although no one had ever seen him inside a Gate before, there were rumors that he could increase a superhuman's strength and agility by nearly 40%!

To put things into context, most A-Rank Supporter superhumans couldn't boost strength beyond 20%, and those in the lower ranks were even worse! The fact that he could boost people's stats by up to 40% meant that he was nearly an S-Rank! He was practically a celebrity in their world!

The man came in and extended his hand to Jason.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Jason Marc. My name is Liam James. I'm the Head of Superhuman Correspondence of the Superhuman Management Department here in Riverdale."

Jason took the man's hand in a firm handshake, and the man smiled. Jason was still wary about what the man could possibly be playing at here. He said he was one of the heads in the SMD, but was it normal for a Head to come around and meet with a fledgling superhuman?

No, it wasn't. It was obvious that the man had an ulterior motive for coming here.

Jason hadn't been online all this while, so he still didn't know the trouble that his emergence was stirring in the world! Awakening as an A-rank was something people hadn't seen since the Five Rulers who fought against the Green Gate emergence!

Most people who awakened were somewhere in the F to D ranks, with only very few who were extremely lucky awakening in the C rank. Awakening as a B-rank was already regarded as an impossible feat, so seeing an A-rank was like finding gold in the dirt!

Right now, there were so many people interested in Jason that the Head of the SMD had to come here himself to make sure none of the other guilds tried to get to Jason first. People respected Liam that much.

Even now, there were more than a hundred people outside the hospital building, both reporters waiting for Jason to come out so they could interview him, as well as guild representatives waiting to try and recruit Jason!

Liam knew that Jason was going to be the hottest topic for a while, and that was why he came here first so he could get a head start over everyone else.

"Please, can we have a talk in private?"

Liam spoke to Jason as he stretched his hand out toward the door, and Jason turned to look at his mother. Jason didn't like the idea of leaving his mother alone, and Liam immediately noticed this and spoke up.

"We'll only be outside the corridor. I promise, no harm will come to your mother."

Jason gave the man a once-over before he turned and walked over to Gina and spoke.

"Take care of her for me. I'll be back soon."

Gina nodded, and she quickly reached into her pocket and handed Jason his phone. She had gotten it back from one of the reporters earlier.

Jason thanked her and she blushed slightly when Jason kissed her forehead. She then watched him leave with Liam, and she wondered what was going to happen from then on.
