Odin's Dilemma

Odin is dumbfounded.

Having existed for millennia, constantly seeking new knowledge and women, he thought he knew everything to come. His sacrifice of an eye to Mimir to drink from the Well of Urd for unmatched wisdom, combined with stabbing himself with his spear and hanging from Yggdrasil for nine days and nights to understand the primordial runes, made him confident about the future—how Ragnarok would arrive and he would die to Fenrir if no other factions intervened.

Now, he's not so sure. His wife, Freya, wants a divorce—something he never foresaw. All because of a human. But this human is the Toad Sage, so Odin can't hate him. He doubts the poor lad knows the chaos he's caused. Still, this shouldn't be happening. Freya threatened war if he doesn't comply. His side would win—Thor is far stronger than he or Freya—but it would be a bloody, costly battle. For the first time in millennia, Odin is at a loss. The fate of the Norse Faction hangs in the balance.

"Why can't life go back to when my biggest worry was which brothel to visit?" Odin mutters, descending Yggdrasil's side. His hands grip the bark as he carefully lowers himself. One doesn't reach the Norns' home for advice without great hardship.

After 13 days of descent, Odin's feet touch soft ground, shrouded in mist. In near-darkness, his single eye adjusts. He steps cautiously—treading lightly in the Norns' domain, as they could kill him if they wished. Ahead, he sees the shrine he built for Mimir. With a tired smile, he approaches, and the preserved head opens its eyes.

"It's been a long time since you visited, Odin," Mimir says, noting the god's weary face.

"Indeed, Mimir. I need advice," Odin replies, glancing at the Well of Urd.

"You know you can drink from it again for the original price," Mimir says.

"My other eye? Hmm
" Odin strokes his beard.

"No, the *original* offer," Mimir emphasizes. Odin pales, hands instinctively covering his groin.

"No way I'd become a eunuch! There are things even I won't do for knowledge!" Odin shouts.

"Hahahaha, worth a try," Mimir chuckles.

"The knowledge I seek isn't in the well, friend. I must face the Norns for their counsel," Odin says gravely.

"They may demand more than I would. Are you sure?" Mimir asks.

"Yes. Freya's decision defies Ragnarok. I need to know if the future has changed and what to do. Should I allow this divorce?" Odin sighs.

"I heard shouting and arguing from them recently. It woke me from my long slumber, thinking someone came to bargain," Mimir says.

"No one else wants to lose an eye. Fools. See you later, Mimir," Odin says, walking away.

Five minutes later, as Mimir warned, Odin hears the Norns' bickering from a grove of roots ahead.

"
stupid thread
"

"We should burn it!"

"Tie the others around it?"

Odin raises an eyebrow. He never knew the Norns were so frustrated. Clearing his throat, he approaches, and they fall silent. A beautiful older woman with golden hair emerges, her face set in an unhappy scowl.

"Why are you here, traveler?" the Norn asks, eyeing the Allfather with irritation.

"Wise Norns, I seek your counsel. My wife Freya wants a divorce, which I never saw in the tales before Ragnarok. If I refuse, she'll declare war on the Aesir. What should I do?" Odin asks.

"How the hell should I know?" the Norn shouts, throwing her hands up in exasperation. "We were weaving the fates of gods and men when *all* the threads unraveled. ALL OF THEM! The cause? A golden thread never seen before!"

Odin's eye widens at the normally calm Norn's outburst. She storms back into the root grove, muttering. He follows cautiously, wary of attack.

Inside, he sees two other Norns, identical to the first, standing around a loom with countless threads strewn on the ground. Runes carved into Yggdrasil's roots are scratched out, rewritten, and scratched again. On the loom, a single golden thread radiates a terrifying aura, intimidating even Odin.

"Welcome, Odin. Forgive our sister's behavior. She's not herself—none of us are, thanks to this thread," a second Norn says, offering a smile.

"I understand you're busy with this issue, but I must ask: Is Ragnarok's future still true?" Odin asks seriously.

"What you see on the ground is all that remains of Ragnarok," the third Norn mutters bitterly. They spent millennia crafting it, and this thread ruined everything!

"What in Helheim
" Odin murmurs, shocked.

"It's almost like when the Biblical God died
" the second Norn adds.

Odin gasps. The Biblical God is dead?! Unseen for millennia, He stayed in Heaven, sending angels as emissaries. This changes everything.

"Honestly, we'll have to set this damned thread aside. Other mythologies' fates must be in the same mess!" the Norns agree, nodding to each other.

Odin begins backing out of the grove.

"Wait, Odin. You don't think you can leave without payment for our counsel?" the first Norn says dangerously.

"What counsel? I asked about divorcing Freya, and you said nothing about it," Odin retorts cautiously.

"You can divorce her. Now, about payment
" the third Norn says. Odin swallows.

"The memory of the Biblical God's death, your wisdom, or your manhood. Choose," the second Norn finishes.

It's an easy choice for Odin. He returns to the top, losing the supernatural world's greatest secret—unaware of its weight.

**Michael's Concerns**

Michael, Leader of the Seraphim and Ruler of Heaven, receives troubling news. Managing God's duties in His absence keeps him busy, but two reports catch his attention.

First, a potential civil war in the Norse Pantheon, which he hopes won't reach them.

More concerning: *Report from the Realm of the Dead. Cocytus was breached. 57 reapers killed. Samael unleashed and killed on-site. His curse appears removed or taken. Be alert for God's malice. No witnesses.*

Michael's hands tremble. Samael, the angel who betrayed God, corrupted Adam and Eve, creating Original Sin. In His wrath, God cursed Samael with a dragon's body and blood poisonous to all existence, condemning him to eternal pain. Who was foolish enough to steal Samael's curse? What could they gain? Michael, despite his wisdom, finds no likely culprit.

He considers two groups: those strong enough to breach Cocytus and those insane enough to take Samael's curse. Covering his face, he feels Gabriel, the Most Beautiful Woman in Heaven, appear beside him.

"You okay, Michael?" she asks.

Without a word, Michael hands her the report. She reads carefully.

"This is unfortunate. Want me to investigate?" Gabriel offers.

"Yes," Michael says, exhausted, slumping against the desk. "Thank you, Gabriel. This is the last thing I want to deal with."

"Anytime, Michael," Gabriel smiles, creating a portal and stepping through quickly to hide her room's state. If other Seraphim saw it, she'd be in trouble—possibly enough to fall and join the fallen angels.

Her room is covered in photos of Alexandre Ikuse, meticulously taken from various angles, some in states of undress. She doesn't call it obsession—her love for Alexandre is pure. If it weren't, she'd have fallen. She knows exactly when it began, but that's another story.

"Alex, you naughty boy," Gabriel sighs, burying her face in an Alexandre-shaped body pillow. "Stealing Samael's curse like that."

Gabriel has watched over Alex for years. Though he hides his aura and trains behind barriers, nothing escapes her. She's his self-appointed guardian angel, never sharing what she learns—not even with Michael.

She knows Alex dallies with many women, stirring an ugly emotion she's never felt before—unfamiliar, unnamed. But thanks to Alex, she experiences these new feelings. She laughs, dreaming of the day she can speak openly with him. She'll wait patiently.

**Underworld Gathering**

"Welcome, Lord and Lady Sitri. It's been a while," Patriarch Gremory greets his old friends.

"It has. I hope you're both well," Lord Sitri smiles, embracing his friend as their wives exchange greetings.

"I assume Serafall's already here?" Lady Sitri asks.

"Yes, she arrived early," Lady Gremory laughs, noting her friend's shy look.

"I hope she hasn't been too much trouble," Lady Sitri says, glancing at her husband, who looks away.

"Nonsense, she's always a delight. Unlike my lazy son," Lady Gremory sighs playfully, making everyone laugh.

They head to the Gremory mansion's private room, finding a nervous Sirzechs calming a pouting Serafall, with Grayfia by his side. Serafall leaps up, pointing accusingly at her parents. "You're late!"

"We're right on time. You arrived early," Lady Sitri replies calmly.

"Now, now, let's sit and relax. We're here for one purpose, right?" Lady Gremory chuckles. Serafall pouts like a child, making her mother sigh.

The atmosphere turns serious. Lady Sitri speaks first. "Sirzechs, you mentioned issues with our children's admission to Kuoh Academy."

Serafall's eyes narrow, her anger rising. Sirzechs forces a smile. "After the Belial clan fiasco, the city's ownership was taken by a human company."

"We should've gone, hypnotized or threatened them, and reclaimed it," Serafall grumbles.

"I considered it and sent people to gather info on the city's rulers," Sirzechs says, pausing as Lord Sitri interjects, "By your tone, the company's trouble."

Sirzechs nods. "Not your average company. Kuoh's under 'Ikuse Advanced Technology Company,' one of Asia's largest, dealing in IT."

"What does a human corporation want with owning cities?" Lord Gremory asks.

"It was founded two years ago," Sirzechs says dryly, the implication clear.

"The Youkai Faction's behind it?" Lady Sitri asks.

"Yes," Sirzechs confirms, prompting sighs of distress.

The incident two years ago remains vivid for demons. It began with one Nekoshou. Though later proven innocent, it didn't change the near-massacre of the Nekoshou by demons' warped justice. Sirzechs couldn't act, as high-ranking demons were involved. A lone figure killed about 200 demons.

Rumors spread that the Nekoshou used Senjutsu or that powerful Youkai aided them, sparking fears of war. Falbium used the surviving sister as bait, but the "fish" was bigger than expected. This figure defeated Falbium and partially erased his memory, leaving only the image of a "Demon of Light." The nickname "White Demon" spread like wildfire.

Sirzechs and Ajuka went to Kyoto, meeting Yasaka and Amaterasu outside the barrier. Yasaka, furious, refused them entry, citing danger to Youkai. She revealed the White Demon was a hired mercenary, sent to check on the Nekoshou after demons broke their promise to protect them. Of 600 Nekoshou, only 300 survived, many scarred.

When pressed about the mercenary, Yasaka and Amaterasu refused to share details. Ajuka argued they had a right to know, given 200 demons died and a Maou was injured—a war-worthy crime. Yasaka's response silenced them: "Was it acceptable to kill all Nekoshou for one's actions? Where do the actions of those 200 demons lead?"

Sirzechs and Ajuka backed off, realizing the Youkai Faction would fight if pushed. Other demons, defying orders, attacked Youkai villages outside Yasaka's reach. Yasaka allied with other Youkai factions, reforming the "Youkai Faction." But it was the White Demon, hired by them, who stopped the attacks. No demon returned.

"This complicates things," Lady Gremory says, concerned.

"I thought it might be a chance to reconcile with the Youkai Faction, so I sent a letter requesting Rias and Sona's peerages study at Kuoh Academy," Sirzechs says with a dry laugh.

"It didn't go well, did it?" Lady Sitri asks.

"We were rejected, but not as expected. The company's leader noted high-ranking Youkai children attend Kuoh, so it's off-limits," Sirzechs sighs.

"Then we sent a second letter requesting a meeting," Serafall adds.

"Isn't it risky sending our children there?" Lord Sitri asks.

Serafall bites her lip, emotions swirling. "Sona never asks for anything. This is the first time she's truly asked me to do something. She wants to stand on her own, learn about the world, and chase her dream. It's selfish, but I want to try for her."

"I can attest to that. Sona's always been mature for her age. This is her first request for herself," Lady Sitri says, smiling at Sirzechs. "I don't know what'll happen, but you should attend the meeting. Maybe we all should, though that's unlikely."

"Serafall's right. Try your best. If we fail, our children will understand," Lady Gremory says, her husband nodding.

"There's a small issue with the meeting," Sirzechs says. "They agreed but limited it to three people per side—representatives from each house and one escort. I'm thinking Grayfia as escort, Serafall for the Sitri."

"We all know who their escort will be," Lord Gremory laughs wryly.

"The White Demon."

**Unknown Location**

In a grand, dimly lit room, a man with black hair and glasses kneels. The lack of light suits the room's occupant, who exudes overwhelming power, charisma, and influence. He reads a report calmly.

"Alexandre Ikuse went to the Norse Pantheon, slept with Freya, who threatened war with Odin for a divorce. The war might proceed, but tensions have cooled. Alexandre may face consequences. He also invaded Hades' Realm of the Dead, killed Samael, the Dragon Eater."

A chair swivels, but the figure remains shrouded in darkness. "He never changes. Odin likely won't act, but Hades won't be pleased losing a trump card," a cold, monotone voice says, sending chills down the man's spine.

"With Odin, it's simple. But Hades
if he doesn't calm down, I'll annihilate the Realm of the Dead and kill him."

The man shudders, hearing her speak of killing a top-10 deity so casually.

"Inform everyone I'm stepping out. I'll visit Asgard and the Realm of the Dead," she orders.

"Yes, ma'am!" he replies, lifting his gaze to see two abyss-black eyes with glowing red "X" marks, surrounded by writhing shadowy creatures.

**Romanian Forest**

Alexandre Ikuse sneezes. "Someone's talking about me," the Hakuryuukou mutters, sitting on a rock in a secluded Romanian forest. Beside him is a black cat with golden eyes—Kuroka, a Nekoshou he saved years ago. Trained by Yasaka, she joins Alex and Cao Cao on missions, skilled in Senjutsu. She often flirts with Alex, wanting his "kittens," and he's claimed her.

Cao Cao, pacing nearby, sighs. "Alex, you sure about this plan? Invading factions and stealing is one thing, but this is
 dangerous."

"Don't worry, Cao Cao. It's under control. I know doing it alone would be tricky, so I'm calling reinforcements," Alex says.

"Reinforcements? Those guys?" Cao Cao raises an eyebrow.

"Who's he talking about, nya~?" Kuroka asks, transforming into a curvy woman with long black hair, golden eyes, and a black kimono.

"The Holy Sword Bearer, the Golden Dawn Witch, the First Darkness, and the Valet," Alex replies.

Before he can elaborate, presences approach. First, a young man with blonde hair, a strand over his face, wearing a business suit, adjusts his glasses.

To his right, a British woman in her twenties with black hair tied up, dressed as a maid, exudes elegance. To his left, a slender foreign girl with shoulder-length blonde hair and blue eyes wears a witch's dress, a large blue hat with a black ribbon and yellow stars, and a matching cape with pink flowers.

"We're the first to arrive. Those two are always late," the man says, fixing his glasses.

"Been a while," Alex greets, approaching.

"A year, I believe," the man replies, as the women wave.

"It's been some time, Lord Alexandre," the maid says. Alex sighs—he's tried to drop the honorifics, to no avail.

"First time you're all meeting, right? Come on, Kuroka," Alex nudges the cat-girl, who lifts her head.

"Arthur Pendragon," the man introduces himself courteously.

"Le Fay Pendragon, Arthur's younger sister. Nice to meet you," Le Fay says cheerfully, making everyone smile.

"Elaine Westcott, maid of the Pendragon House," Elaine says with a polite bow.

"Arthur's *cough* lover *cough*," Alex mutters, audible to all, making Elaine blush and Arthur sigh.

"Kuroka, nya~," Kuroka bows slightly, reverting to cat form and resting on Alex's shoulder.

"May I?" Arthur asks. Alex nods. "You meant what you said on the phone?"

"Of course, Arthur. You're my friend and comrade. It's no trouble," Alex replies.

"What're you two talking about?" Le Fay asks.

"Well," Alex scratches his chin, "I know what's happening in the Pendragon House and Arthur's decision to leave to protect Elaine." Le Fay and Elaine gasp, but Alex continues, "I offered a simpler solution. Elaine can live at my place—it's one of the safest in the world."

"Is that true, Lord Arthur?" Elaine asks.

"Yes, I trust Alex. His place is secure," Arthur says, smiling briefly before his face hardens. "But I still plan to leave the Pendragon House. They're getting too arrogant."

"Then I'm going too," Le Fay says, looking down. "I don't want to be left behind."

"You're both welcome at my humble home," Alex says, waving.

"Understood. After this job, I'll return to the Pendragon House to grab what I need. We'll move soon," Arthur says, earning a nod from Alex.

"So, Alex, still chasing women?" Arthur asks with a playful smile.

"You know me well," Alex grins.

Cao Cao snorts. "Hope you don't hit on Elaine or my sister."

"Brother!" Le Fay squeaks, embarrassed, as Elaine blushes.

"Don't worry, friends' sisters and girlfriends are off-limits," Alex says, smirking. Arthur chuckles, but Cao Cao notices Le Fay's slightly disappointed look.

"How'd you all meet, nya~?" Kuroka asks, still in cat form.

"It was
chaotic," Arthur says with a smile.

"That day, I was trying to steal something from the Fairy Realm
" Alex begins.

Cao Cao sighs—most of their adventures involve theft.

Alex ignores him, diving into the story.
