Chapter 12: Strongest Gacha God ch12 The Assassin pt1.
"Woah!"
Felix gazed at his reflection within the Oasis waters.
He was currently kneeling around it's banks to drink some of it's water and yet one's his appearance came into view, he couldn't help but exclaimed in surprise.
It wasn't that much had changed about him per say. He still looked the same; above average in look, platinum colured hair from the continuous dyeing in his hair back on earth along his green eyes.
It was just, he looked much older, more refined and his bangs along his hair had grown longer even though he had only spent a total of three days in the desert.
If not for the fact he had been keeping track of the night, he might have even mistaken how long he had lived here.
"I almost look like Rex from Cryptic academy."
The character Rex was from one of the early gacha games he had played. An important character and rival characters to the main character.
Strange enough he was a werewolf which was the kind of entity Felix was slowly becoming.
"Admiring you looks?"
A humorous voice echoced and the owner, Marcus knelted beside him, scooping a palm of water and drenching his face with it.
"No..." He shook his head,"...I was just surprised by how I look."
"Oh right you supposely have amnesia."
Felix didn't respond.
Masking his face with calmness, he placed both his palms into the transparent oasis, pulled back some water nested within his palms and threw them at his face.
"So how long have you stayed in this place?"
"Three day... could be more since I don't remember how I got here."
Marcus was probably interogating him but Felix had already played this scenario in mind and was prepared for all possible questions.
" So you don't know of the outside world."
" No."
" You're saying you currently don't know we're in the magi deserts within the country of Soloris?"
" Never heard of this Soloris." Felix shrugged.
" Noted."
Satisfied with his interogating, Marcus smiled and stood up.
"By the way Diesel says gets ready we'll about to move."
Felix nod, his gaze wandering towards the black cat hidden within the hills of desert sands in the distance.
[Don't get too close.]
He warned telepathically something he could only do with his Summon.
After washing his face he summoned a gust of wind to dry his wet hair before returning to the team now mounting a pair of camals.
"Guess I'm walking then." He sighed and Marcus noticing his dejection dismount from his position infornt of Dorothy and gesture for him to climb.
"Are you sure."
"You're dead weight kid. If we meet a sandworm, you're be easy prey. I on the other hand have fast legs. So use the camel and I'll use my legs."
"You're really kind." Felix said a bit wary.
"His not. His just finds you interesting. So play along."
Dorothy commented brushing strangs of misplaced hair back.
Felix not wanting to keep the team waiting arkwardly climbed his way to the top of the camel and right infornt of Dorothy whom now sat behind him.
When he tried grasping the neck rope to control the Camel movement, Marcus snatched it with a wink.
"How about you leave the navigation to me."
Felix wasn't brothered because he actually didn't know how to ride a mount be it a camel or a horse. He just thought it would look cool hence why he tried taking it.
Like that the team began their journey through the deserts sand.
It was quiet and eerie even more so than the nights.
Occasionally while bored he would glance at Diesel and Evelyn on the other Camel.
They both were displeased but he had a feeling it wasn't because of him.
Dorothy on the other hand had her eyes glued to a strange book which she scanned through with absolute focus.
Then there was Marcus leading the Camel while softly gripping the rope around it's head.
"His too friendly." Felix thought wondering what Marcus was up to.
The tanned young man whom seemed slightly older than him hadn't displayed even an ounce of hostile to him since he joined the group.
It was almost as if he had fully welcomed him in as one.
And there was also Dorothy's saying of Marcus finding him interesting.
What did that mean?
What had he showed that had interest him and what did he do to those he was interested in?
"Arg...my head hurts just thinking about it."
Would being interested in someone be enough of a reason to be kind to them.
He couldn't answer.
The only thing he had ever been interested in were games and those he played the heck out of them.
To be interested in another human that he couldn't understand.
It wasn't like he hadn't loved someone before.
He loved his parents back on earth but loving someone wasn't the same as being interested in them.
"For now play along. One's I get it the settlement and I'll ditch them."
Rubbing his forehead he formed a goal.
Now he was just bidding his time, trying to truly decipher what little of this world he knew.
He was in the country of Soloris in a region called the magi desert.
The world era, he didn't know much about and while he had originally suspected it was a typical medieval fantasy setting,he was beginning to doubt that after he had heard Evelyn speak fo a GPS.
"Look alive team. We got company.", Diesel said coldly interrupting his thoughts.
Confusion then formed on his face leading to him looking around for answer but he still saw nothing, just the wary expression of Evelyn who had her dagger's draw, Marcus whom had formed a sword from ice, Dorothy whom was channeling mana out her core and finally Diesel whom jumped over her month and spun her spear in a fluid motion.
"What is going on.."
A surge of orange mana bursted forth from the distance as dozens of dried up hand erupted from the ground.
With hunting murmurs, the hands clawed their way out the soil. Head followed and finally dozens of rotten corpses emerge from the ground, their hollow eyes reflecting murder.
