Chapter 10: Strongest Gacha God ch10 A team of misfits pt1.
"Hel...."
Right as he raised his voice to announce his presence, three figured darted at him like arrows.
One claded in a dark cloak held twin dagger in a reverse grip stance, charging at him with both dagger slicing through the air with masterful precision.
Among the other two, one was dressed like a witch and the other raggely dressed.
The witch channeling red mana into her fingertip manifest a magic circle directly infornt of her and launched a condensed ball of flames at him.
The other in leather armor, formed a longsword out of pure ice and lunged right after the fireball.
"Shit."
With his perception increased by his physique, he couldn't keep track of the attack and excalty because of that he knew, he was several outclassed.
He wasn't just dealing with goblin...no these were human, residents of this forgein world and people whom had been moulded by it's rules.
Magic, strength and skill he was far behind them to do anything and yet his reflexes kicked in and he moved.
He first encased his blade in wind and performed a crescent horizontal swing.
[Wind blade]
A thin greenish slash shoot out his blade cutting though the fireball and towards the witch and along ragged adventurer.
"His a wave contraller." The ragged adventure panicked, displaying momentarily burst of speed which he used to placed himself between the incoming attack and the witch.
He then streched out his left hand, a chilling blue mist following before condensing and exploding into a cloud of cold mist that froze the windblade, solidifying it and allowing him to cut it down.
In the moments he was preoccupied with his attack, Felix lunged at the approaching dagger weilder.
In a matter of second they crossed blades, sparks igniting while his body was threw back from the impact.
"She's strong."
Trying to regain his balance, a shadow descended on him prompting him to arkwardly raise his sword up.
Filling it with mana at the last second, the two daggers of the cloaked woman struck his blade, the resulting impact sending ripples of shockwaves through his body.
His arms went numb and his feet bent, groaning under the intense pressure.
"I mean no harm!"
Forcing himself to speak, the cloaked woman furrowed, raising her right leg and ruthless plunging her knee into his guts.
"Then why resist." She said coldy as Felix collapsed on his kneel, gasping for air.
"You're trying to.....kill me. I was just... defending myself."
Dropping his sword and clutching the area he had been kicked in, he managed to string together enough words to sound convincing.
Evelyn while finding his words convincing wasn't willing to bulge. They had attacked first but just like him, it was out of defence for their mission.
The boy might be weaker than expected but whose to say he came alone and right now wasn't just stalling for time.
"Dorothy use you magic to scout around us. Marcus search the surrounding, Dorothy might miss something and Evelyn leave his interrogation to me."
Disturbing her thoughts was Diesel, her bountiful wine hair billowing in the wind while she approached with her spear resting on her shoulder.
"Tch."
Clicking her tougue due to to Diesel's sudden involvement, she stepped back unwillingly and made her take her place.
"Who are you?"
Her eyes a deeper green in contrast to Felix's glowed coldy as Felix shivered under her gaze.
" My name is Felix. I recently found myself in this desert without an ounce of memories."
" Came on now, you really except me to believe that." She chuckled but her gaze was still calculating, eagerly trying to decipher both his identity and intention.
" I'm not lying.. heck I don't even know where I am."
Swish–!
Right as he finished speaking a thin cut formed on his cheek causing his face to twist in horror.
" Listen here kid." Crounching to meet his gaze, Diesel took a tissue from underneath her armor and rought it to the cut to wipe .
" Lie to me again and my next target would be you right eye. I doubt I can clean that up."
"...."
Felix's breath was caught in his throat, his heart rapidly throbbing within his chest.
Just now he hadn't been able to react but she definitely drew get spear and slash at him.
The sensation of the cut was there and the evidence was the blood stained tip of her spear.
His mind began to race, his eyes reflecting the viciousness of the wine haired woman crouching before him and gently wiping the blood of his cheek.
She appeared gentle;her mannersim and her voice all gave of the feeling of an affectionate gentle sister, the kind that won't hurt a fly.
"I..." He gulped feeling the combined stares of the humans now surrounding him.
"...not lying!"
Diseal blinked and both Marcus and Evelyn drew their blades ready to kill him and yet....
"Okay!"
Redrawing her hands from his cheek, she drew back and with a wave, gestured for her teammates to hold on.
"I believe you." She said, her pink lips widening to reveal a haunting grin.
For some reason Felix knew she didn't but this would be the closest he would ever get to her good side so he pushed on.
"Please I need you help."
"In what way?" Diesel asked.
"The nearest settlement. I want to leave this place. Can you atleast direct me there?"
Clasping his palms together in a pleading manner, he even lowered his head in submission.
He was connered eitherway so he might away strip himself of pride and whatnot.
"Eh..."
A bit overwhelmed by his antics, Diesel's eye's grew warmer but she stepped back out of habit.
The boy while appearing innocent wasn't being too honest with her. So she didn't want to let her guard down around him.
" Yo Diseal why don't we take him with us!"
Making such a suggestion was Marcus clearly amused with Felix's actions.
" Are you stupid. What if his one of those enemies the boss warned us about?"
Before Diseal could even refute, Dorothy snapped and Evelyn nodded along.
" Well if he was he sure has balls of steel especially with Diesel being here."
" Marcus you idiot why the heck are we even arguing about this. We're no Samaritan let's just show him the way and be done with this."
" Hell no unlike you demon, I'm actually a good person."
" Stop stereotyping Demons you fucking bastard."
Dorothy said wacking Marcus on the head.
" Ouch!"Marcus groaned glaring daggers at Dorothy.
" Enough!"
With a sudden surge of black mana, Diseal stomped her spear into the ground causing a light earthquake that ashered forth her command by placing all eyes on her.
Satisfied with her results, she threw Felix a smile and continued," Be glad kid, I'm suddenly in a mood to do some good."
And just like that Felix found himself in the company of an odd bunch.
