STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer

Chapter 326: Part 2: First mission (10th Zone)

City Hall:

"Don't look at them," Sinag said.

Hearing that, Jeremy nodded to her. Everyone is wearing armor suits here. He doesn't think their eyesight is better than his.

But somehow, they have recognized her. Jeremy's gaze fell on her armor suit.

"Maybe it's because of her armor suit," Jeremy thought.

Since they are showing open hostility, he can tell they might try to eliminate them during the mission or after it.

Jeremy doesn't want to take any risks before finding out about their strengths and weaknesses.

Caw!

The next second, a bird cry disturbed his thoughts. Then he saw a gigantic bird in the sky. Under their eyes, someone jumped from the bird.

The gigantic bird disappeared, and the middle-aged woman in a palace dress landed before us. She has fair skin and long blue hair.

Her gaze swept across everyone.

"My name is Amaira. I'm your employer. Recently, we have taken many missions in the city administration."

"We are short of hands, which is why the city administration has decided to seek outside help."

"Your job is to clear the lair of Tier- Black Scorpion Corrupted Beasts. They are extremely poisonous. Even if you get scratched by one, you will be poisoned to death."

"The rewards will be given directly after the successful completion of the mission. You guys can leave now," Amaira said in a serious tone.

Hearing that, everyone's expression turned solemn.

Jeremy was taken aback by this beautiful woman. He didn't expect she was from the city administration, but he didn't know about her identity.

"If you guys have any questions, you can ask me," she said.

Butch thought of something before asking, "We want to do it as a separate team."

Hearing that, Dalton, Cassidy, and Billy supported it.

The other four beast tamers from different organizations wanted the same as well, which left behind Sinag and Jeremy Night.

They had no other choice than to act separately.

Amaira frowned. She could see the division right here. She knew the rivalry was common in this environment.

So she said, "I only care about the results. I want the beast lair to be cleared. Otherwise, your organizations will receive complaints."

After saying that, she turned around and left the place.

Seeing that, Butch and his friends sighed in relief. They were worried that the employer could force them to act as a team.

"We are leaving," Butch said in a loud voice before leaving with Dalton, Cassidy, and Billy.

The other four beast tamers grouped together to form another team as well. After glancing at Sinag and Jeremy, they left the place too.

"Sigh," Sinag let out a sigh.

She turned towards Jeremy Night and said, "You will get used to it in the future."

"Let's go," she uttered.

Then Jeremy followed her. She made a call to the same staff again.

Shortly afterward, he arrived with a flying car.

Jeremy was surprised. He thought Sinag had anticipated the situation from the beginning to the end. There was no change in her facial expression.

She entered the front seat. Seeing that, Jeremy entered to sit in the back seat.

The staff started to drive the car. The flying car hovered above the ground before appearing in mid-air. Then it started moving towards the city gate.

"Are you surprised?" Sinag asked in the car.

Jeremy raised his eyebrows and nodded at her.

"We never did a joint mission with the Sun Wheel Organization," Sinag said in a cold tone.

"You can already guess that. They might be looking for a way to harm us. At the same time, we can also use the opportunity to eliminate them."

"As long as we can kill those three, Leader Gisela will reward us. Maybe she had known about this, but she didn't inform us," Sinag said while her eyes flashed with brilliance.

Jeremy Night also felt it was a good opportunity. He had been thinking about eliminating them as well. It's just that he didn't want to offend the Sun Wheel Organization and attract their hatred right away.

"What do you say?" Sinag asked, feeling more confident with Jeremy Night's help because he can slaughter Tier-4 beasts in seconds.

The three Tier-3 Beast Tamers were no match for him, so she thought with Jeremy Night's help they could easily take down the Sun Wheel Organization's Beast Tamers.

Jeremy thought for a moment before agreeing with her.

Sinag was happy. As long as they could eliminate the three people, Team Leader Gisela would be pleased.

About 10 minutes later,

The flying car flew over the gigantic city wall. Jeremy Night watched the amazing scene through the window, preparing to fight the enemies while wearing this armor suit.

Meanwhile,

Butch and his group had already gotten near the northern settlement. The northern settlement was like a human city.

It was huge in size, with a population of more than 100,000. Compared to City A, the number of powerful beast tamers was less.

They were governed by City A, but they had their own Beast Taming Association branches and branches of other organizations.

The Beast Tamers in the settlements could move to City A when they reached a higher tier.

Right now, Butch and his friends were moving towards the scorpion lair. It was not hard to find the lair of the scorpion beasts.

Their organization had information on every corrupted beast lair surrounding their city. They had a specific team for this kind of task, whose job was to find the corrupted beast lairs and report back to the organization.

So Butch knew the exact location from the organization's intelligence.

"Brother, should we kill them before or after completing the mission?" Dalton asked.

Hearing that, Butch's eyes turned cold.

He said, "I'm sure they will come for the mission. We will act according to the situation."

Hearing that, the other three got excited. They couldn't wait to kill those two and get their rewards.

Meanwhile, the other four beast tamers were following them from behind. Their organizations were not as strong as the Sun Wheel Organization and Shadow Moon Organization.

But their higher-ups were influential people, so no one underestimated them.

About 10 minutes later,

Butch and his group arrived in front of the Corrupted Beasts' lair. The lair was like an underground cave structure.

Butch frowned. According to the intel, the lair is a Tier-3 Beast Scorpion lair. However, he knew there were cases where Beast Tamers encountered Tier-4 Corrupted Beasts.

He wondered whether this beast lair contained a Tier-4 Black Scorpion inside.

"If the City Admin is playing with us, then it means the beast lair is not simple," Butch said to the others.

Dalton, Cassidy, and Billy were not naive. They also understood the risks of exploring the corrupted beasts' lair first.

"Brother, why don't we send others to explore the cave first?" Dalton asked.

Butch shook his head and said, "If we are thinking like this, then it's possible for the others to think like that too."

"Let's just explore the outer area. When others come inside, we can follow them," Butch said.

Hearing that, the other three nodded their heads. Then they followed Butch to the cave entrance.

Shortly afterward,

The four beast tamers from other organizations arrived at the location as well. They saw the flying car of the Sun Wheel Organization parked here.

Seeing that, they walked out and headed toward the cave entrance. While walking, they discussed the Sun Wheel Organization's Beast Tamers and the Shadow Moon Organization's Beast Tamers.

They didn't want to offend either of them, so they decided to mind their own business. Then they walked into the cave entrance.

About 10 minutes later,

Jeremy and Sinag arrived at the spot. After stepping outside, Sinag turned toward the driver and asked him to leave.

She would contact him after completing the mission.

Jeremy waited in silence until the staff left the place.

"Are you ready?" Sinag asked him.

"Yes," Jeremy replied.

Then they started walking toward the cave entrance.

Jeremy looked at the scabbard and hand case. He was ready to use them at any time. If necessary, he would kill them first.

Sinag took the lead. After entering the cave, she took out a device to scan the area. The footprints were visible.

"They were here before us," Sinag said.

"Follow me," she added.

Meanwhile,

Tier-3 Black Scorpions sensed the intruders. They frantically started running toward the cave entrance. The Scorpions' eyes were glowing with a green light.

In the blink of an eye, a horde of scorpion beasts moved toward the cave entrance.

Meanwhile, Butch and his friends were exploring one of the passages inside the cave structure while the other four beast tamers entered a different passage.

On the other hand, Jeremy Night and Sinag Clark had just come inside the cave. They came across different passages. Both of them knew the passages were dangerous.

The Corrupted Scorpion Beasts lived in any of these.

Butch and his group were the first ones to encounter the horde of Corrupted Scorpion Beasts. They were all taken aback by the surprise.

"Shit!" Butch cursed under his breath.

"Kill the beasts," he added.

In the next second, all four of them were ready to face the beasts.
