STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer

Chapter 253: Dean Carolyn's swift response

Central University 14:

Soon, the students were caught. They were quickly questioned by their department instructors in front of Elder Derek. Instructor Jacob was present inside the room as well.

The heavy-built student and the others were terrified. They didn't expect to get such reactions from the instructors and elders.

The heavily-built student was especially in a panic. He was concerned because of the promise made by the senior student. Then they quickly confessed everything.

The instructors and Elder Derek knew the senior students behind this situation, but they were shocked to learn that even the 3rd-year students were involved as well.

"It's getting serious," Old Man Derek commented.

"You guys are first-year students, so I'm not going to give you severe punishment. But if the same thing happens next time, then you guys will be kicked out of the university," he said to the students.

Hearing that, six of their faces paled with fright. At that moment, they realized they had really angered the elders. Their punishment would be decided by their department instructors.

Elder Derek and Instructor Jacob left the place. Soon, Elder Derek returned to his office with Jacob. He had a lot to discuss.

After entering the room, they sat in their seats and looked at each other.

"I think things are getting out of hand. The Dean wanted to redevelop the STRIKER Department, yet there are so many external forces trying to stop it," Derek said.

"Elder, do you think the families are behind the killer mercenaries?" Jacob asked.

Elder Derek's expression was serious; it was the most worrisome thing.

He said, "I don't know, but today everyone saw the fight. If the students learn about Jeremy Night's case, they will be alarmed, which is not good for the university."

"So for both our university and Jeremy Night, we need to stop the senior students. If they don't learn, then I'll ask the Dean to kick them out of our university," he added.

Hearing that, Jacob sighed inwardly.

Then Derek informed Dean Carolyn. After learning about the names of the senior students, Carolyn confirmed her earlier suspicions.

She then ended the call before looking up the senior students' families' contact information. She called the first family and decided to warn them about their son.

Time passed.

She made one call after another. The parents of the senior students were completely clueless. Some of the families could pressure the Central University 14 and the Dean, but they didn't want to do that.

The Central University 14 is a university under Zone 14. There are other Central Universities in different zones. They really didn't want to offend her.

So they agreed to discipline their sons. Even the parents of Billy were contacted as well. After learning about his actions, they weren't surprised. They knew their son and agreed to warn him as well.

She then made a last call to the parents of Timothy, the third-year student. His father worked under Governor Elton. Seeing the background information, she frowned.

But she still chose to make the call. When Timothy's father, Simon, answered the call, she revealed what his son had done. However, Timothy's father didn't respond properly at all.

Out of all the calls to the students' parents, he was the one who did not respond at all. His attitude pissed her off.

Dean Carolyn couldn't contain her anger. She warned Simon, saying, "If your son Timothy causes another problem, then I'll report it to Governor Elton."

Hearing that, Simon got angry, but he was not stupid. So he gave up in the end and agreed to warn his son.

By the time she finished these calls, it was already evening. Earlier, she didn't want to interfere too much, but the things that were happening lately forced her to draw a line right now.

She knew there was also the case of Jeremy Night. She was worried that families could be suspects, but she didn't want to get involved because the city police were handling the case.

She then informed Elder Derek of the news. She didn't want any panic to spread among the students.

Shortly afterward,

A statement was released from the administration stating that six first-year students were punished for their behavior. It was also mentioned that if they broke the rules next time, they would be expelled from the university.

This statement served as a warning to others. The first-year students were shocked. Recently, they had been pressured by their senior students to target the STRIKER Department.

Everyone knew that targeting the STRIKER Department might anger the Dean of the University, yet the six students' eyes were blinded by greed. Now they were going to be punished.

Meanwhile,

The news reached the senior students as well. Those who were behind the six students were rattled. They hadn't expected the university to take such action.

Now they were exposed. It would be a matter of time before they got punished as well.

...

Dorm Room:

Jeremy was in his dorm room when he received a call from Instructor Jacob. Instructor Jacob revealed the Dean's actions and the statement from the administration.

Jeremy raised his eyebrows in surprise. He had never thought the Dean would be so decisive this time. Then his eyes flickered with understanding.

He then thanked the instructor for informing him before ending the call.

"The series of events forced her to act," Jeremy thought.

He knew that others thought the senior students' families could be behind the mercenaries who were after him; perhaps this could have forced her to warn them.

Sigh!

A sigh escaped from his mouth. To be honest, he didn't care. As long as the killers were not Tier-5 Beast Tamers and above, he could deal with Beast Tamers below that.

Especially after becoming a Tier-2 Beast Tamer, he was confident about protecting himself.

On the other hand, Instructor Jacob informed the other two members as well. They were relieved. Especially Daniel Stone, who was more happy than before. He had been worried earlier, but now he was at ease.

Since the Dean had taken action against them, he thought the other first-year students wouldn't dare to break the rules next time.
