Strange Worlds

Chapter 35: A Short Time Skip

A month passed by quietly.

During this period of time, Aya suffered every night from drinking the mana increase potion. Even though the effect was remarkable as her mana pool continued to increase, the pain really made her want to scream.

She just didn't dare to scream.

If the elders were to know what she was doing, they would definitely stop her.

The elders were kind enough to give her a lot of money and Aya used them to buy more herbs, so it was enough for a month's consumption. After this, Aya had to stop because she knew that her physical strength would not be able to handle it if she were to drink more.

Her pocket money for the month could also be saved.

But the other problem that Aya faced was that she couldn't leave Wansu City. Whenever she went to the gate, there would be people watching over her. If she went to the wall or even climbed up, there would be someone from the White Family who came to her.

Aya: "..."

In other words, she was under heavy surveillance at all times.

Well, no one would pay attention to her when she was in the White Family Residence. But once she went out, there would be people who were paying attention to her.

For this matter, Aya expressed her dissatisfaction.

But she couldn't possibly say to her family members that she went to the war area, can she?

They would never allow a four year old child to go to the battlefield.

Aya sulked in her room and looked at her system's panel

[Automatic training system]

[slots 1: mana meditation and warming up, rank 7: 78%]

[slots 2: magic inheritance training, rank 1: 59%]

[slots 3: mind meditation, rank 5: 66%]

[slots 4: alchemy, rank 4: 37%]

[slots 5: formation magic, rank 8: 18%]

[slots 6: basic water control, rank 1: 99%]

[slots 7: basic light control, rank 1: 76%]

[slots 8: teleportation magic, rank 1: 4%]

There were a total of 8 slots in her system by now and the elder had already started to teach her the basic elemental magics. Since Aya already knew which one was her element, she chose to practice them directly. The four other elements of fire, earth, wind, and darkness were already mastered, so Aya didn't practice them.

What she practiced was the water and the light magic.

They were almost done and this was from Aya only using the system to practice and didn't practice on her own.

After all, Aya was busy practicing her physical skill and meditation. The skills could be thrown to the system after she had watched and used her mana to make her remember it.

The progress would be slower than when she actively practiced on her own, but she didn't have to waste her time practicing, so it was good enough. Moreover, this was practiced 24 hours a day while she could only practice a few hours a day.

So in conclusion… It was still faster to use this cheating system.

Hehehe.

As for the last one, it was the space magic.

In her previous life, she was nothing more than a genius from the branch family. She was not qualified to learn the most powerful magic and so on. If she wanted to learn, she would have to pay a huge contribution points.

So Aya worked hard until she vomited blood back then to develop her four elements.

Even with the system helping her, it was truly time consuming to study four elements at the same time.

And now, she even has six elements.

Aya wanted to curse out loudly.

And when she was reading the books, she asked to enter the library and managed to find some secret skills books. They were all copied by her and one of them was the teleportation skill.

it was a forbidden skill.

Magic skills were divided into 9 ranks. From the beginning to the highest was 1 to 9. The basic element control was naturally rank 1 magic because it was only for them to start out. After that, there would be more powerful magic for each element.

The forbidden magic was precisely a rank 9 forbidden magic skill.

Aya knew that teleportation was possible.

It was through the magic formation of space. In her era, that kind of formation was very common and she could also make one since she learned how to make it back then.

The main reason why she learned formation was because it could help her practice faster, though.

But later on, Aya realized that formation has many other uses.

One of them was this teleportation.

But formation teleportation was a fixed point teleportation and they could only build the two teleportation points. It was not easy to prepare and many people had to protect the formation point so that it would not be destroyed midway.

Otherwise, the teleportation would fail.

And there was also another type of teleportation, which was teleportation magic.

As long as one has the space magic talent, which couldn't be detected unless one tried it out, they would never be able to learn it.

And this teleportation skill was very convenient.

They could basically teleport from one position to another as long as they had recorded the node in their mind. Aya was not very clear how to record it yet, though. She needed to wait until the system's progress was higher or to learn it by herself through reading and experimenting.

Aya looked at the last line and sighed.

It was only two days and there were already 4 percent. If this kept going, she would be able to learn this teleportation magic soon and could teleport out of Wansu City and chase after her father and the others on the frontline.

But Aya would need a map.

She didn't know their exact location.

Besides, a rank 1 teleportation magic was not very strong. It could only teleport her in a short distance.

But if she had to wait until the teleportation magic reached high rank, it would be too late.

Lately, Aya had heard that the two armies had confronted each other. Right now, the situation was still more or less equal with Xunsu City.

But who knows whether it would be the same in the long run.

Aya didn't remember how long this war took place.

But she couldn't do anything when she was not allowed to go out.

As Aya was anxious and locked herself in her room to meditate and increase her mana as much as possible, Evan came knocking on her door.

"Aya, Aya, let's go out to play. You've been working hard for too long," Evan called out.

Aya sighed and exited her meditative state. She knew very well that if she continued, she wouldn't yield much.

It would be better to go out and have some fun with Evan.

Anyway, her daily training was done and Aya was somewhat stressed about going to the battlefield to help her uncle avoid his death yet she didn't know what to do.

The only thing that she could do right now was to train on her own so that she could become strong and then acted as what a child should be.

It was just that Aya couldn't really act like a child.

She's already an adult in her mind.
