Stellar Sync: BTS in the New Era

Chapter 15: Emotional Reboot

The Rhythmic Star was unlike any ship flying through the stars. Its walls hummed with quiet tones that changed based on the moods inside. Its engine pulsed not with fuel but with harmony. Yoongi had worked on the sound-reactive core with Jungkook for days, and though it still hiccuped at times, the ship moved through the galaxy like a ripple in a song.

Jin had chosen the name. The Rhythmic Star. It felt right. Not just a machine, but an echo of their journey.

Their first stop was a floating trade station called VELOS-9, hidden along an old mining route. It was neutral territory. No Federation scouts. No cameras. Just traders, smugglers, ex-scientists, and quiet citizens pretending not to feel too much. The moment they docked, the crew split up to gather supplies.

"Let's be quick," Namjoon reminded them as he adjusted the hood of his jacket. "We don't want to stay too long."

"Got it," Jimin replied with a nod. "I'll check the medical station with Tae."

Yoongi headed to find parts for their next ship upgrade. Jin and Hoseok looked for food rations, while Jungkook followed Namjoon toward the archive towers to find old maps.

At first, everything felt normal.

But then the air began to shift.

In the centre of the market plaza, Jimin stood in line near a vendor selling nutrient packs. A small child stared at him, eyes wide. The child didn't say anything, just tugged at their mother's sleeve and pointed.

"He's glowing," the child whispered.

Jimin smiled politely, confused. Then the air around him began to warm. People nearby began to stop talking. One man dropped a crate. A woman clutched her chest.

Then someone started to cry.

It wasn't loud at first. Just quiet sobbing from the far side of the market. Then another. And another.

Within seconds, the silence was filled with emotion.

Tears. Laughter. Gasping breaths. One old man fell to his knees, clutching a small locket. "She's here," he whispered. "I remember her face now."

A trader whispered, "What is happening?"

Taehyung looked around in alarm. "Jimin," he said softly, "you're doing something."

Jimin held still. "I didn't mean to. I just… I felt a little sad. That child reminded me of our fans."

The tears kept coming. Not from pain. From release. From something inside the people that had been locked away for too long.

"They've forgotten how to feel," Jimin murmured. "And now… it's flooding back."

Across the galaxy, others began to feel it.

In the snowy domes of Celara-3, workers on a hydro-farm froze in place when one of them began humming an old lullaby. In the underground halls of Lyron Prime, a young girl heard music in her dreams and woke up singing. On an abandoned listening post orbiting Astelune, a radio technician picked up an unknown frequency. It sounded like a concert. A familiar voice. And millions listened.

Within hours, the news spread.

A masked journalist from the outer rim released a short clip of the trade station outbreak. The screen flickered with images of people crying, hugging, laughing, holding their chests like they had found something they didn't know they lost. The voiceover was simple.

"The Lost Song has Returned."

It went viral faster than any Federation alert could catch.

The Council of Silence scrambled to control the message. Warnings were broadcast. Threat levels raised. "Contain the Emotional Contagion," one headline read.

But it was too late. The feeling had already reached the hearts of too many.

Back aboard The Rhythmic Star, the crew sat in stunned silence.

"I didn't mean to cause a scene," Jimin said softly, sitting cross-legged on the floor near the viewing window.

Taehyung sat beside him. "You didn't cause a scene. You reminded them who they are."

Yoongi added from the corner, "That's why they're afraid of us. Not because of our voices. But because we make people remember they can feel."

Jungkook stared out at the stars. "Then what happens next?"

Namjoon answered quietly. "Next, we follow the map. We find the first relic. And we keep singing."

Jin nodded. "Because it's not just about us anymore."

Their ship drifted silently into the next sector, but inside, the hum grew louder. Not from fear. Not from tension.

From hope.

Hope in harmony.
