Staying Alive Cautiously in the Celestial Realm and Becoming the Strongest

Chapter 849 Core Formation (Part 1)

Wang Chen settled down in Qinglan Valley.

The area of the valley was only about twenty or thirty mu, surrounded entirely by undulating green hills. In addition to waterfalls and ponds, the valley was filled with all kinds of exotic flowers and rare herbs, creating an extremely elegant environment.

Next to the pond, there was a thatched cottage. Although very simple, it was very clean and tidy.

Although the time had come, Wang Chen was not in a hurry to form his Golden Core.

He had just returned from the Foggy Mountain Realm, and after over a decade of trials in the Lower Realm, he felt a sense of unfamiliarity with the Haotian Realm.

Including his main Cultivation Technique.

If not addressed, this could potentially become an obstacle in the Solidifying Pill process.

Wang Chen wanted to form a top-tier Golden Core, and thus could not afford any mistakes or flaws!

Therefore, in the following days, Wang Chen would rise early each morning to climb to the nearby highest peak to absorb the first whiff of morning's purple qi.

Then, he would sit on the rocks by the pond, gradually refining his own mana.

Although his cultivation had reached its limit, such cultivation practice progressively elevated his state to the peak.

In the afternoon, Wang Chen would go to the Scripture Pavilion to read.

The Green Hill Scripture Pavilion was located on a mountain peak near Qinglan Valley, consisting of seven floors, each housing different tiers of Taoist Scrolls and various texts.

Interestingly, the Scripture Pavilion was unguarded. Though protected by strong prohibitions, Wang Chen could enter and leave freely.

It felt as though the Scripture Pavilion was built just for him.

However, he could only enter the first and second floors, exploring books below the Golden Core tier.

Then, Wang Chen discovered that the treasured Taoist Scrolls within contained only methods related to the human race, unrelated to the Monster Race, and their quantity was astonishing.

Because of this, Wang Chen spent more and more time in the Scripture Pavilion.

He greedily absorbed the knowledge in these Taoist Scriptures, gaining deeper insights and understanding towards refining the Golden Core.

From this, Wang Chen decisively suppressed the restless True Qi inside his body, delaying the time for Core Formation.

This move was quite risky.

Because the majority of peak Purple Mansion cultivators would make all preparations for Core Formation in advance and as soon as they sensed the right moment, they would immediately enter a Cave Heaven and Blessed Land to begin.

Unless absolutely necessary, they would never delay.

The reason being that opportunities were rare, and Core Formation also depended on the right time, location, and people. Missing this chance could mean never being able to replicate the same feeling again, only to force the core formation.

And forcing the Core Formation not only drastically reduced success rates but even if they luckily succeeded, the quality was often poor.

Wang Chen did this because, besides wanting to perfectly form his core, he also had a false core, giving him inherently higher odds compared to others, possessing the strength and foundation to take this gamble.

That afternoon, while Wang Chen was browsing the Taoist Scriptures on the second floor of the Scripture Pavilion, he suddenly heard rustling sounds at the doorway.

Turning his head, he saw a little girl with double buns stealthily poking her head inside.

As soon as she met Wang Chen's gaze, she immediately withdrew.

Wang Chen couldn't help but smile.

After a moment, the little girl stretched her head out again, curiously sizing up Wang Chen.

Putting down the Taoist Scripture, Wang Chen waved at her, "Hello."

This little girl had big eyes and a sharp chin, her skin white as jade, and she even had a pair of pointy ears – clearly a transformed little fox, looking particularly adorable.

"Who are you?"

The little fox, bold as well, darted in front of Wang Chen and tilted her head, "How come I have never seen you before?"

As she spoke, she wrinkled her little nose and sniffed, revealing a puzzled expression, "Your scent, why is it different from everyone else?"

Wang Chen smiled and said, "My name is Wang Chen, and I am from the human race."

"Human race?"

The little fox was shocked and instantly paled, "Human race!"

She leapt like a frightened rabbit, three feet high in an instant, fleeing outside with a speed that left one dumbfounded.

Wang Chen was speechless.

He shook his head and picked up the Taoist Scripture to continue reading.

A short while later, the little fox came back, cautiously looking all around as she approached Wang Chen again.

This time, Wang Chen couldn't read anymore, so he simply went eye to eye with her, in a staring contest.

The little fox scratched her head in confusion and said, "The sisters all say that humans are villains, and we shouldn't talk to them, so are you a villain?"

Wang Chen couldn't help but laugh, "What do you think?"

The little fox's eyes swiveled, "Do you have anything tasty?"

"Uh…"

Wang Chen searched through his Sumeru Ring and then laid out a bunch of Spirit Fruits, jerky, and snacks in front of her.

He was used to storing large amounts of food and daily necessities in his Sumeru Ring for any emergency.

He even had candies!

"Wow!"

The little fox's eyes sparkled instantly, "So much food?"

She looked at Wang Chen with hopeful eyes and asked sweetly, "Is all this for me?"

Wang Chen smiled, "Help yourself if you like."

These items were not cheap, but to him, they were nothing.

"That's great!"

The little fox cheered immediately, hugged the snacks on the floor into her arms.

She clearly had storage equipment too and, after stashing all away, she pulled out one item, smiling from ear to ear, blissfully nibbling.

Just like a rabbit munching on a carrot, with puffed cheeks.

Wang Chen found her amusing and couldn't help asking, "What's your name?"

The little fox, softened by the treats, obediently answered, "Hu Feifei, Feifei like a flying bird."

Wang Chen nodded, "Do you know Hu Jiaojiao?"

"Of course I know Sister Jiaojiao!"

The little fox rolled her eyes exaggeratedly and suddenly realized, "Now I know, you're that stinky man who seduced Sister Jiaojiao!"

The little fox sniffed hard, "No wonder there was a smell."

Wang Chen couldn't help but laugh, "I am a man, but I'm really not stinky. Never mind."

What was he doing arguing with a little girl!

Hu Feifei struggled to swallow the food in her mouth, then made an incredibly cute face at Wang Chen.

She darted off in a flash!

Wang Chen didn't mind and put the Taoist Scriptures he had read back on the shelf.

Interestingly, after chatting and joking with the little fox, his mind had become much lighter.

A tense string that had been tightly wound inside him suddenly vanished.

The moment Wang Chen stepped out of the Scripture Pavilion, his mana surged within him like a tidal sea, unstoppable!

Wang Chen's complexion changed, and he soared into the air with a long howl.

In just a few breaths, he landed firmly on the rocks beside the valley's pool.

At this moment, Wang Chen's Qi Sea Dantian was roaring and tumultuous; the acupoints of heaven and earth opened automatically, and the Spiritual Energy from the outside poured in.

Unceasingly!

It meant that the real moment had arrived, leaving no room for delay.

Wang Chen steadied his mind and decidedly began Solidifying Pill!
