Chapter 19
Chapter 19: The Heavenly Grade Auction Room of Langya Auction House
“Look, it’s Miss Feifei, slurp~ what a perfect figure.”
“Isn’t Miss Feifei the auctioneer today? Why is she here at this time?”
“Maybe a big shot has arrived. This has happened before; after all, Miss Feifei is the face of this auction.”
“The last time it was the Grand Elder of the Sword Sect, right? I haven’t heard of any ministers or big shots from the sect coming.”
“If I could spend a night with such a perfect woman, I would be willing to die.”
“Just think about it, don’t act recklessly. The last guy who tried to make a move was dead before he could even enjoy one night.”
…
As Qin Bei was about to step into the auction house through the normal entrance, he caught sight of this woman.
I have to say, although Feifei’s face isn’t as perfect as Mu Zhaoxue’s or the others’, her figure is top-notch. Dressed in that fiery red cheongsam, not many men can resist sneaking a few more glances.
“What are you looking at? Is it beautiful?”
Mu Zhaoxue’s cold voice broke through from Qin Bei’s side.
“Uh, cough not as pretty as you.”
“Then why are you still looking?”
“Who said I was looking at her? I was admiring her cheongsam; it’s very nice.”
“Don’t stare, Xiao Bei. This woman is no simpleton; it’s better not to provoke her.”
Qin Zhen chimed in.
He had also taken a few extra glances at Feifei, but he knew this woman appeared warm and gentle, yet her methods could rival any man—if not surpass them in ruthlessness.
“Looks like she’s coming over to us.”
Ji Zhuyue remarked mildly.
Sure enough, Feifei approached the group with a smile on her face.
“Prince Bei, this way, please.”
“Miss Feifei, what’s this all about?” Qin Bei asked, puzzled.
“My subordinates weren’t diligent enough, and the invitation didn’t reach Prince Bei, so I can only come personally to escort you to the Heavenly Grade Auction Room.”
Feifei spoke gracefully, but even a simple sentence carried a hint of allure that captivated men.
“The Heavenly Grade Auction Room? Isn’t that reserved for second-rank ministers or powerful sect elders? Why can Prince Bei enter?”
“Does Prince Bei have some undisclosed special status?”
“Of course! The news from Langya Pavilion is highly reliable. Prince Qin Chen can only enter the Earth Grade Auction Room, while Prince Bei gains entry to the Heavenly Grade. Doesn’t that mean, in the eyes of Langya Pavilion, Prince Bei is even more valued than Prince Qin Chen?”
“That’s true; after all, Prince Bei has married the Saintess. Even if there’s a slight gap in cultivation talent compared to Prince Qin Chen, because of that relationship, Prince Bei is also held in higher regard.”
The crowd buzzed with discussion. Langya Pavilion is an absolutely neutral sect; the news they disseminate and the lists they create are unquestionably accurate.
So even though many found it absurd that Langya Pavilion had ranked Qin Bei above Qin Chen, no one contradicted it—everyone was just speculating what else Qin Bei might be hiding.
As the central figure in the discussion, Qin Bei couldn’t help but frown. There were four types of VIP rooms at Langya Auction House, listed as follows:
Human, Earth, Heavenly, and Emperor.
The Human Grade is generally given to the offspring of nobility. Those who can access the Earth Grade are usually talented young individuals, some sect elders, and ministers below the second rank in court.
The Heavenly Grade is exclusive to those with significant power within major sects or the Great Xia Dynasty.
As for the Emperor Grade, that’s reserved specifically for the Emperor of Xia. Others, even the Lord of the Beast Taming Sect, can only enter the Heavenly Auction Room.
Clearly, what he had shown was insufficient, yet they still invited him; Qin Bei was quite surprised. Unless the people of Langya Pavilion knew he possessed the Undying Phoenix Body.
However, this possibility seemed minimal. Perhaps, as everyone said, it was entirely because he married Mu Zhaoxue.
“Xiao Bei, then you can follow Miss Feifei. I’ll head to my own auction room. I’m all set with a million spirit stones just waiting to be spent.”
Qin Zhen knew that Qin Bei lacked his own auction room and initially wanted to invite him to the Earth Grade, but it seemed unnecessary now.
“See you later, then.”
Since Qin Zhen had his own items to auction, Qin Bei didn’t insist he join him in the Heavenly Grade.
“Miss Feifei, please lead the way.”
Qin Bei smiled.
“Please!”
Feifei led the way, with Qin Bei and the others following behind.
Her swaying figure danced before him, and Qin Bei swore he was definitely not a lustful person, but who could withstand such temptation?
“Don’t you have anything you want to ask me, Prince Bei?”
Feifei suddenly turned and asked.
“No!”
Before Qin Bei could respond, Mu Zhaoxue had already interjected.
As she spoke, she stepped forward, linking arms with Qin Bei. The softness of her arm made Qin Bei’s imagination wander.
Feifei paused, then smiled.
She hadn’t expected the supposedly aloof saintess to show this side of herself.
But then again, changes tend to happen after signing a soul contract, and Feifei wasn’t surprised by this.
“Then let me briefly explain the privileges of the Heavenly Grade Auction Room. The reason the Heavenly Grade is rare isn’t just due to its status; it genuinely comes with significant perks, making it exclusive.”
“Let’s hear it.”
Qin Bei was quite interested in the privileges of the Heavenly Grade Auction Room.
“First, while auction house rules dictate that the highest bidder wins, if someone in the Heavenly Grade room truly desires an item, they can notify our staff. As long as they offer 120% of the item’s base value, we will send someone to bid on their behalf and deliver it. Each auction provides one opportunity like this.”
Feifei explained while walking.
This privilege surprised Qin Bei.
Although it sounded as if one would need to pay 120% of the spirit stones’ value, this is an auction house, and the premium rates can skyrocket. If there’s malevolent competition, doubling the premium is definitely a possibility.
With this privilege, those in the Heavenly Grade wouldn’t need to worry about such issues.
“Of course, if both auction parties are from the Heavenly Grade, then it goes back to the traditional rules—highest bidder wins.”
“Secondly, the holders of the Heavenly Grade have a certain credit limit based on their strength, which varies for each individual.”
“Third…”
There are numerous privileges associated with the Heavenly Grade, but most are just for show. Only the first two genuinely assist the owner.
“Here we are; this is your auction room. If you need anything, feel free to inform the staff outside at any time.”
Feifei brought Qin Bei and the others to a door. The door had a conspicuous “Heaven” sign, indicating that this was a rare Heavenly Grade Auction Room.
Qin Bei glanced to the side. Although the doors of some adjacent rooms were tightly shut, with his Double Pupils, he sensed that there were people inside, each stronger than him.
“Alright, you can start the auction now.”
Mu Zhaoxue pulled Qin Bei into the room, turning back to Feifei.
A smile crept onto Qin Bei’s lips. He truly liked how Mu Zhaoxue was cold towards others but special to him.
