"Do you remember these guys?" Alaric glanced at the elf while inviting her inside the room.
After noticing that no one else was in the room, Yvanna removed her hood and gently tucked her hair behind her ears.
"Of course, I remember them. We found these little cubs inside a cave on that stormy night." She chuckled.
Looking at her beautiful side profile, Alaric almost fell into a trance.
"Eh? I remember there were six of them. Why are there only five here?" Yvanna raised an eyebrow in surprise.
"About that… Do you remember Hershey from House Paxley?" Alaric explained the situation to her.
Yvanna felt inexplicably envious when she heard this. She couldn't understand why she was feeling like this.
While she was quietly staring at the wolf cubs, Alaric grabbed one of them and said. "I wasn't able to prepare a gift for your birthday so I decided to give you one of the wolf cubs."
Yvanna was surprised to hear this. "You remember?" She thought that he had already forgotten about it since she had only said it in passing.
Alaric smiled. "Of course. Why would I forget your birthday?"
He grabbed her hand, making her jolt at the sudden touch.
Just as she was about to pull her hand, he handed her the wolf cub. "Here. Happy birthday! I hope you will take care of this wolf cub."
Yvanna lowered her head and stared at the wolf cub in her arms. It was round and its white fur was looking vibrant and healthy.
The cute little thing slowly closed its eyes and drifted into sleep.
"Why don't you give it a name? To tell you the truth, only one of them has a name." Alaric awkwardly stated.
Yvanna gently brushed the cub's fur as she replied. "Hmm… then I will call it Ely."
It was a simple name, but she looked happy so Alaric didn't bother to offer the suggestions he had prepared.
