Seojun muttered to himself, eyes sharp with curiosity.

"Observation Haki… If this really works like in One Piece, it could be useful in the future."

He leaned back against the wall, deep in thought.

"I don't know everything about the Solo Leveling world… but I know enough to realize how dangerous it gets. Hunters, gates, monsters… It's not just fantasy anymore."

He looked over at the calendar on the wall: 2009.

"Right… if dungeons started appearing in 2014, then Jinwoo should be around nine right now."

Seojun paused, rubbing his chin.

"That gives me five years. Five years to prepare."

The thought of what would come sent a chill down his spine. He clenched his fists and spoke aloud.

"Hey, System. Show me my stats. And how do Quests and the Sign-In system work, exactly?"

A translucent blue panel appeared in front of him.

Seojun raised an eyebrow.

"So... it's random?"

[Affirmative.]

"Tch. Great. RNG mechanics…" he sighed.

"Alright, what about the Sign-In system?"

"And Quests?"

Seojun's jaw dropped slightly.

He was sharper, more aware. Thanks to Observation Haki, he could read movements, intent, and even emotion in the people around him.

He kept it hidden, of course. His parents were ordinary folks: his dad worked a delivery job and his mom managed a small stationery store nearby. Life wasn't flashy, but it was steady. He went to school, got decent grades, and trained quietly whenever he had time.

One afternoon, on his walk home from school, Seojun's senses tingled. Observation Haki flared to life instinctively. Around the corner, just out of sight, he felt it—malice. Fear. Weak resistance.

He turned the corner.

There they were. Three older boys surrounding a much smaller, frightened kid from his class—Minjae, a quiet boy who rarely spoke above a whisper.

Seojun narrowed his eyes.

"Seriously? Seniors picking on someone that small?"

As he stepped forward, something flickered in front of his eyes—a blue holographic panel.

1. Ignore the situation. It's none of your business.

2. Intervene and drive off the bullies.

Seojun's eyes widened. "Wait, what?!" He blinked in disbelief.

He'd been waiting for this moment. He'd asked the system a hundred times over the past two years about his first quest—and here it was. Of all the ways to start, this was it?

"System, what kind of options are these?" he muttered.

He glanced back at the bullies. Minjae was on the verge of tears, clutching his bag like it was a shield.

Seojun exhaled. "Guess I don't have much of a choice then..."
