142. Chapter 142: You, My Friends, You Are the Real Heroes!

"Alright, Rock Man."

Billy took a basic phone from his pocket and tossed it to Rock Man. "We'll use this to keep in touch from now on. When the operation starts, I'll send you a text message."

Billy couldn't keep the two terrorists with him. Not only might Kimiko lose control over time, but what they were doing was highly classified. He absolutely wouldn't allow any accident to happen.

"Okay." Ma Ma Ti stuffed the mobile phone into his pocket, then left with Savant.

......

Pennsylvania.

Philadelphia.

Compared to the extreme prosperity of Manhattan, New York, the buildings in Philadelphia appeared very old. But this didn't mean Philadelphia had a low economy or sparse population; the opposite was true. As the former capital of the United States, it was the largest city in all of Pennsylvania, second only to New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Houston.

And it was very close to New York. When Vought announced that The Seven's first fan meeting would be held in Philadelphia, fans from as far away as New York and Washington were willing to drive for several hours just to get to the scene and see their idols.

"Ahhhhh!!! Stormfront! I love you!"

"Homelander! Homelander!"

"Starlight, I'm your fan!"

"The Fastest Man Alive! A-Train!"

"Queen Maeve, I came just for you!"

"Black Noir, you're absolutely adorable!"

As The Seven appeared on the stage one by one, the dense crowd of fans below frantically waved the Stars and Stripes flags in their hands, screaming desperately. The scene had become an ocean of revelry. Their attire varied, but most were waving the Stars and Stripes flag, because Homelander's cape was the United States flag.

"Welcome everyone to the Supe Fan meeting hosted by Vought International! Next, our superheroes will greet you!"

Ashley Barrett extended her hands, gesturing towards Homelander.

Homelander looked at the surging fans below. The sense of crisis in his heart seemed to vanish instantly, and a confident smile reappeared on his face.

"Please raise the Stars and Stripes flags in your hands! You, my friends, you are the real heroes!" Homelander showed a sunlight-like smile and gave a thumbs-up towards the crowd.

"Homelander! Homelander!" The fans at the scene shouted Homelander's name. Some were so excited their necks turned red.

The deafening roar of human voices made Homelander feel as if he were in Heaven. At this moment, he felt as though he had donned a cape woven from glory and worn a crown called Authority. Bathed in the radiant light of faith, he experienced an unprecedented sense of satisfaction! "How does it feel?"

Standing beside him, Stormfront smiled, looking straight ahead at the crowd below, while waving her arm to greet the fans.

"See? From eighteen to thirty-four, thirty-four to fifty-four, they're all shouting my name, they all love me!" Homelander's smile was absolutely genuine. He said to Stormfront with immense confidence, "You'll never steal my position!"

Then he raised his arms to the crowd and shouted, "Tell me, who is the true Superhero of the United States?"

"Homelander!!" Their voices were like a tide, wave after wave, incredibly powerful!

"Me!" Homelander pointed to himself with both hands and shouted loudly, "Homelander!" Immediately after, Homelander looked at Stormfront with a boastful gaze.

Stormfront shrugged. "I never wanted to compete with you for these things. Constantly seeking to be liked by everyone is quite pathetic. You know yourself that you can't be liked by everyone, so why pursue it? Why not cooperate with me? You have the fans, I have the fighters. Together, we can rule the entire world."

Hearing the first part of Stormfront's words, a surge of anger rose in Homelander. But after listening to the rest, his eyes were a little confused. What was going on? Hadn't Stormfront been heavily promoting herself before, if not to replace him? And what did she mean by 'fighters'? "Thanks, I don't need to unite with anyone."

Homelander was half-believing, half-doubting Stormfront's words.

"After the event, I'll give you a gift, and you'll understand."

Next, it was Stormfront's turn to make her remarks.

With just one sentence, she showed Homelander what she meant by 'fighters'!

"We are always great! This is our supreme nation!"

If they weren't Stormfront's die-hard fans, they wouldn't truly understand the real meaning behind her words. If you replaced "we" with "white people," it would be easy to understand.

The next second! A commotion began at the scene. One of Stormfront's loyal fans punched a black man in the face: "Nigger, get out of the United States! This isn't where you belong!"

His action was like a spark on a fuse, igniting the explosives barrel with a hiss. Soon, one fight quickly escalated into three, five, and even as far as the eye could see, countless people were actively or passively drawn into the combat. In an instant, terrified screams and cries erupted!

Ashley Barrett on the stage saw this, and her entire face turned incredibly pale. What was happening? She still didn't understand.

"See? These are my fighters. Excitement and anger are what sell."

"What are you waiting for? Go stop this farce. This is your perfect opportunity to shine," Stormfront said with a smile.

Homelander's face was grim. He didn't speak. He looked at the farce below and flew directly towards the most severe area. "Get out of the way!"

His angry roar!

Made the people who were fighting instinctively stop their actions.

At this moment, in the center of the battlefield, a black man was still holding his own against the attack of three white men. Until Homelander arrived, he grabbed the black man by the back of the neck, forced him to his knees, and then pressed his knee onto his neck. "Alright! Everyone stop this instant!"

After speaking, the Heat Vision from his eyes streaked across the sky, incidentally slicing off a corner of a poster.

It must be said, this move was very effective. It instantly intimidated the rioters at the scene.

The surrounding fans, looking at the red light in Homelander's eyes, fell silent for a few seconds before erupting in fierce cheers again.

"Homelander! You are the real hero!"

"Homelander, look here." Countless people took out their mobile phones and pressed the shutter button, pointing them at Homelander.

Facing the numerous mobile phone cameras, Homelander's mouth curved upwards, smiling exceptionally brightly, like sunlight.

Amidst the cheers, no one noticed or heard the black man's dying cries: "I can't breathe, I can't breathe."
