Chapter 50: Chapter 51: Super Evolution
Chapter 51: Super Evolution
Telekinesis, telepathy, and mental manipulation—three superpowers guaranteed to manifest with brain domain evolution—were all acquired by Chang Wei.
Moreover, Chang Wei's T-Perfect Virus had evolved into the T-Virus Monarch!
It had taken over ten billion genetic points to evolve the T-Virus to the Monarch stage. In contrast, the Blacklight Virus only required a few billion points to evolve into the Imperial Blacklight Virus.
This disparity stemmed from the Blacklight Virus's innate ability to evolve independently, adapting to new genes and environments. The T-Virus, lacking such advanced adaptability, could only evolve passively. Consequently, its evolution demanded an exorbitant amount of energy and resources.
"If it hadn't evolved into the T-Virus Monarch, it would've been a colossal loss," Chang Wei sighed.
Currently, his telekinesis far surpassed the peak abilities of Alice from the Resident Evil films. His telepathy could cover 90% of the Earth's surface, meaning nearly all of humanity was under his mental perception. However, reading someone's thoughts required precise manipulation.
The same principle applied to mental manipulation, likely because the T-Virus didn't prioritize such capabilities.
Only telekinesis brought Chang Wei an immense surprise: he could use it to shake all of Raccoon City. It felt as if, with a mere thought, he could lift the entire city into the air!
His progress in microscopic observation, enhanced by his advanced sensory abilities and brain evolution, had reached the molecular level. This precision allowed him to manipulate molecules with telekinesis, granting him unparalleled destructive power. Before him, nothing could resist destruction—not even fictional metals like Adamantium and Vibranium.
Simply twisting, tearing, peeling, and disintegrating matter at the molecular level with telekinesis could annihilate anything.
For defense, his abilities were even more formidable—flawless and indestructible. Unless attacked on an atomic level, breaking through Chang Wei's telekinetic defense would require depleting his telekinetic energy. Otherwise, his defenses had achieved the property of "absolute invincibility."
Neither energy nor matter could breach his defenses.
Chang Wei also utilized this microscopic control to upgrade his body once again, achieving molecular-level rearrangement for a tightly knit defense and fine molecular structure. Compared to the invincible physique of Superman from the Man of Steel movie, Chang Wei's body was even stronger.
"Achieving absolute rigidity... That's too difficult," he muttered.
Testing his strength, Chang Wei found it impossible to gauge. He had become far too powerful.
And this was without implementing his telekinetic nuclear fusion upgrade plan. If he completed it, could he destroy stars with a single strike?
"The Stairway to the Sun…"
Chang Wei recalled the origins of Resident Evil—the Progenitor Virus. Could the movie's world contain the Stairway to the Sun? Umbrella Corporation might have answers.
Perhaps the "originals" lying dormant in the Hive's underground base held the key.
"Forget it. No rush for now. I need to relax. I barely feel human anymore," Chang Wei remarked.
He quickly browsed memories of the most beautiful women he had encountered, grounding himself in humanity once more.
Meanwhile, Alice and Jill, who had been unconscious, were awakened by Chang Wei.
"What happened?"
Alice sprang up, realizing she had unknowingly passed out. Jill and the others groggily got up as well. Peyton, however, opened his bloodshot eyes and roared, lunging at Terri.
In a critical moment, Alice delivered a swift, sharp kick to Peyton's waist, knocking him to the ground.
"He's changed!" Alice exclaimed.
Terri scrambled toward Chang Wei in fear. Despite Alice exuding a greater sense of security, Terri instinctively trusted the calm and composed (not to mention handsome) Chang Wei.
"No, Peyton!"
Jill aimed her gun at the fallen Peyton, her expression full of pain.
Peyton struggled to his feet. Just as Alice was about to intervene to help Jill put an end to him, Chang Wei stepped forward.
"May the Lord enlighten you. A—men," Chang Wei said, raising a hand bathed in pure, radiant holy light (a bioluminescent glow).
Alice, Jill, and Terri froze in astonishment as he pressed his glowing hand against Peyton's head.
The recently infected T-Virus in Peyton's body immediately recoiled, and the virus's regenerative abilities miraculously repaired his damaged brain cells, reviving him from the brink of death.
"I... What happened to me?" Peyton asked, bewildered.
"My f***!"
"Oh my God!"
Jill and Terri exclaimed in disbelief, while Alice stared at Chang Wei, her expression filled with shock and suspicion.
"Who... What are you?" she demanded.
"As you see, I'm a priest. You may call me Father Dante," Chang Wei replied casually.
"Dante? Are you related to the poet?"
"No relation. Don't overthink it. It's just a name."
Their exchange left Alice rolling her eyes.
Something far more outrageous just happened, didn't it?!
