Chapter 11: Chapter 11: Super Absorption
Chapter 11: Super Absorption
Elizabeth Greene quickly appeared in response to Chang Wei's shout. After all, the commotion he caused was too significant for her to ignore.
"You are…"
Elizabeth looked at Chang Wei with confusion. The sense she received from the Blacklight Virus made her feel as though Chang Wei was her child.
However, the same Blacklight Virus also gave her the feeling that she was facing a superior being.
This left Elizabeth feeling both puzzled and unable to make sense of the situation.
The moment Chang Wei saw her, he didn't waste time. He immediately began to channel the electricity within his body.
"100,000 Volts: Electric Surge!!!"
At that moment, Chang Wei seemed to embody Jayce himself.
Crackle! Crackle!
The chilling sound of electricity tearing through the air and the dazzling electric light filled the scene.
A glowing sphere of electricity formed between Chang Wei's hands. He then launched it, striking Elizabeth before she had a chance to evade.
In fact, even if Elizabeth had tried to dodge, it would have been useless. The tracking ability of electrical effects was incredibly strong.
Struck by the Electric Surge, Elizabeth immediately convulsed and collapsed to the ground, arcs of electricity coursing over her body.
Chang Wei didn't hesitate. He stepped forward decisively.
At the same time, a tail sprouted from his spine.
The tail's sharp, needle-like tip was a specialized form that Chang Wei had evolved for enhanced absorption capabilities.
It bore a striking resemblance to Cell's tail. Its effect was naturally extraordinary—allowing him to absorb prey and even Hunter Commanders without needing to break their spines.
As long as he pierced them, it was enough.
Ordinary absorption through the Blacklight Virus had little effect on Elizabeth. Based on his deductions, Chang Wei concluded that he had only one chance against her.
After all, he was too powerful. His electric attacks were overwhelmingly effective for ambushes.
If this attempt failed, Elizabeth might be so terrified of his strength that she would flee and hide, making her nearly impossible to locate again.
Thus, even if he wasted some genetic points, Chang Wei believed it was worth it.
This was why Elizabeth had the feeling that Chang Wei was her superior—because Chang Wei had already evolved into a predator of the Blacklight Virus!
To prevent Elizabeth's escape, Chang Wei used his four arms to firmly grasp her limbs. He then drove the needle-tipped tail into her abdomen.
Compared to ordinary absorption, this enhanced method was exponentially more terrifying. Chang Wei instantly felt the surge of virus and power flowing from Elizabeth into himself.
"You have gained 100 genetic points!"
"You have gained 100 genetic points!"
"You have gained 100 genetic points!"
A stream of system notifications flooded Chang Wei's vision.
Meanwhile, Elizabeth let out gut-wrenching screams.
"No, spare me!"
The overwhelming threat restored her consciousness, and she began to plead.
But the arms holding her felt immovable, as if nothing in the world could shake them. No matter how she struggled, she couldn't escape.
In the end, Elizabeth could only watch as she was forcibly absorbed by Chang Wei.
"Ahhhhh!!!"
After absorbing the substantial power that was Elizabeth, the Blacklight Virus within Chang Wei's body became highly active.
The two distinct strains of the virus in his body began to clash violently.
"System!!!"
Chang Wei opened the system interface.
"Upgrade the Blacklight Virus' reproductive ability, splitting ability, and the capacity to produce Hunters. Also, I want…"
Inside the core hive, the bulbous nests began to rupture. Emerging from within were Hunters, all fixating on Chang Wei.
Particularly noteworthy was a massive Hunter Commander, which let out a roar at Chang Wei.
The roar seemed to issue a command, as all the Hunters suddenly charged toward him.
"Die!!!"
Even though the system was upgrading the virus, Chang Wei was far from defenseless.
In his four-armed Overlord form, he delivered an iron-fisted punch that shattered a flying Hunter into pieces, as if smashing a watermelon with a baseball bat.
The swarm of Hunters posed as much threat to Chang Wei as a feather might. He even took the initiative to charge into their ranks, unleashing a storm of carnage.
The Hunter Commander swiped at Chang Wei's iron fist, but he didn't budge an inch.
"Haven't had your meals, puppy?"
Chang Wei sneered, retaliating with a devastating right hook. His punch landed squarely on the Hunter Commander's head. Under his overwhelming power, the supposedly tough skull caved in.
"Not bad, you're sturdier than I thought."
Chang Wei was slightly surprised. He had expected the Hunter Commander to explode into mush under his punch.
However, it merely suffered a dent in its skull—a non-lethal injury given the Hunter Commander's vitality.
But then, Chang Wei's needle-tipped tail pierced the Hunter Commander's flesh.
Before long, the Hunter Commander visibly withered. If Elizabeth could be drained dry in minutes, how could the Hunter Commander stand a chance?
