The man who had arrived was, of course, Li Xiaofei. He had just found Si Kongxue when he overheard someone openly threatening his woman in broad daylight. How could anyone tolerate this?

When Si Kongxue saw the man she had been longing for day and night finally appear before her, her first reaction was that she was hallucinating from missing him too much. She stared at him carefully. Then, without hesitation, she rushed forward. Li Xiaofei opened his arms and pulled her into his embrace.

"Well, well, look who we have here." Zhou Yifei scoffed when he recognized Li Xiaofei. "The so-called King of the Martial Arena? Hahahaha! Kid, do you really think you're important? Do you have any idea what kind of disaster those words just brought down on you?"

"Disaster, my ass," replied Li Xiaofei, slapping Zhou Yifei hard across the face without warning.

Several teeth flew through the air. Zhou Yifei spun backward, barely keeping his balance. Half of his face swelled up instantly, like an overripe peach that had been smashed against the ground.

"You... You actually dared to hit me?" Zhou Yifei was utterly shocked.

"Who the hell is this clown?" Li Xiaofei glanced at Si Kongxue. "Why does he sound like some whiny, bitter ex-girlfriend?"

Si Kongxue couldn't help but burst into laughter, thinking to herself,So crude.

Li Xiaofei had this kind of magic. He could make her laugh with just a casual remark. Perhaps that was one of the reasons why she was so drawn to him, like a moth to a flame. At the very least, when she was by his side, she could always catch the scent of freedom in the air.

"Young Master Zhou, are you alright?" asked a terrified Yang Xue. She quickly tried to pacify the situation while frantically signaling to Si Kongxue. "Little Xue, don't be stubborn! Hurry, tell him to apologize to Young Master Zhou."

Si Kongxue ignored her friend completely. Instead, she picked up the luxury items the store clerk had just finished wrapping up. She held them up like an innocent little girl showing off her favorite gifts to her best friend and said, "Take a look. Do you like these?"

Everything she had just bought in this store was men's fashion. All of it had been for Li Xiaofei. Today had not been an exception; it had always been like that. All the reckless shopping sprees had not had a single thing for herself.

"I didn't like them at first." Li Xiaofei glanced at the items and said, "But since you bought them, I guess I can try to like them."

Si Kongxue rolled her eyes at him.

"You lunatic! Just wait," shouted Zhou Yifei, gritting his teeth. But he didn't dare put on any more airs. He turned and stormed off, spitting out a final threat as he left. "I'll make sure you understand what that slap is going to cost you."

"Yeah, screw you." Li Xiaofei sent a flying kick after him.

Bang!

Zhou Yifei shot out of the store like a cannonball and flew straight through the entrance.

"Are you insane?" said Yang Xue, staring in disbelief before quickly chasing after him and repeatedly apologizing.

Meanwhile, Li Xiaofei acted as if nothing had happened. He turned to Si Kongxue and said, "I was away on business and couldn't contact you. So, how about it? After all my hard work, are you pregnant yet?"

Furious, Si Kongxue bit down hard on Li Xiaofei's bicep. "You bastard! You haven't even properly married me and you're already thinking about me having your child?"

"A wedding is just a formality. The child is what really matters," Li Xiaofei replied shamelessly, maintaining his persona. After all, his past self had once vowed to marry hundreds of women and father thousands of children. It was a truly absurd goal.

The two laughed and joked as if Zhou Yifei was nothing more than an afterthought. Moments later, Yang Xue walked back into the store, holding her face. Half of her face was swollen, and an unmistakable handprint was imprinted on her cheek. It was unclear whether she had lost any teeth.

"Young Master Zhou is beyond furious. No matter how much I apologized, it was useless," she said angrily, glaring at Li Xiaofei.

She turned to Si Kongxue. "Zhou Yifei will definitely take revenge. You'd better go home right now and warn your parents to be on guard. Then take your little gang leader boyfriend and leave the city. Hide out for a while until this blows over."

Despite everything, she still cared about her best friend.

"Your face... Are you okay?" Si Kongxue took out a small bottle of White Jade Balm, a premium ointment for bruises and pain relief, and gently applied it to Yang Xue's face.

Yang Xue rubbed her cheek and forced a bitter smile. "It's nothing. He's a high-and-mighty noble heir. Slapping a small fry like me is nothing to him... Little Xue, you need to leave with him. If you wait any longer, it'll be too late."

Si Kongxue nodded in reply.

Li Xiaofei, unable to hold back, asked, "What's that guy Song Shiyan's deal? Is he really that big of a deal?"

"You don't know?" Yang Xue looked at him in shock and said, "And yet, you dared to curse Song Shiyan right in front of Zhou Yifei?"

She quickly explained Song Shiyan's identity and background, adding, "In Chongque City, people fear Song Shiyan even more than they fear the City Lord himself. He's like a rabid dog. He is ruthless, unscrupulous, and completely without limits. Once he sets his sights on you, he's like a stubborn leech. If you try to tear him off, you'll only lose a layer of skin."

Li Xiaofei asked, "Has he been harassing Little Xue for a long time?"

Yang Xue sighed. "Song Shiyan has countless beauties around him. He can get any woman he wants. The only reason he's after Little Xue for so many years is because she's the only one who has ever ignored him."

The more unattainable something was, the more he desired it. But once he finally got it, it would quickly lose its appeal.

"You should go home and rest," Si Kongxue said, sending her best friend away. Her eyes started to burn as she turned to Li Xiaofei. "Come on, let's find a place to lay low for a while."

And so, they hid away in a hotel in District Bing. One thing led to another, and soon, passion ignited like dry wood meeting fire. After a night of intense dual cultivation, Li Xiaofei sat cross-legged, floating in midair inside the room.

He had been training relentlessly on Earth No. 1818 over the past few days. Even though the planet lacked spiritual energy tides, he had still been able to accumulate valuable cultivation experience and insights.

Now, after that vigorous battle, he felt an overwhelming sense of clarity and comfort. The law nucleus within his body had finally been completely refined, transforming into his own power of laws. Si Kongxue assumed that Li Xiaofei had finally taken Yang Xue's advice to heart and was planning to leave the city to avoid Song Shiyan. She agreed without hesitation.

After making a quick call to her parents to explain the situation, she left the hotel with Li Xiaofei. Their first stop was the secret warehouse. Then, on the way to the stargate port, Li Xiaofei contacted Huang Dinggou to confirm the model and registration number of the interstellar shuttle he had rented.

Half an hour later, Li Xiaofei and Si Kongxue met up with Huang Dinggou at the Exploding Star Gang's port. After going through a series of detailed outbound inspections for their cargo, they boarded the interstellar shuttle, departed from Chongque City and set off into the vast universe, toward Planet M73.
